Ghost/demon Game Idea (escape Room)
ghost/demon game idea (escape room)
I've seen Insym ranting about how a lot of ghost games now are kinda just. not too unique or something like that. So. Idea. You're trapped in an escape room, and you have a time limit because the ghost/demon is trying to possess you, going so far as to prevent you from doing puzzles and so on. Except-- There are things the demon can't see/read (the demon/ghost will probably have a voice, and its like 'what are you looking at? there's nothing there', or maybe the demon's voice dialogue could be in red while our dialogue for when we interact with stuff would be like white). Whether it's in flashbacks, cutscenes, audio cues, visual cues, etc etc (maybe a light flashes, maybe screen go brr and theres like writing in. yknow those invisible pens that you can see with like.. i think its called a uv light? that effect possibly that makes it glow, but the demon makes it clear that its very confused on wtf youre doing or staring at), there'll be messages left laying around from the survivor, your predecessor. They've left clues scattered around the map that'll give you clues on where to go, hidden areas that the demon isn't aware of that gives you items that can do things like stun the demon and stuff, etc etc.
And as we look around, we might notice things that give away what we're doing there and why. That perhaps the escape room is actually some sort of lockdown thing, a quarantine of sorts, and that while the thing possessing you can physically stop your hands from doing shit or something, they can't solve the puzzle unless you do it. And to do the puzzle probably like. purifies them or something. (Perhaps if you do some really hard thing, you can discover the survivor's secret room or something, that gives you a weapon that lets you kill the demon. It catches on though-- and it sounds afraid of the survivor. who are they? They could be evil, with horrible intentions that lead to ruin. Or they could be good intentioned. It all probably depends on a choice.. And maybe, who knows which ending is true) Multiple Endings: 1. No longer human. The room is scattered in what look like animal scratch marks, and everything has been knocked down. Your hands are bloodied, giving evidence of your scratching. You raise your clawed hands to your face. You are dead.
2. Freedom. You escape, met with a bright light, and maybe the outline of people who are your friends waiting for you and embracing you in hugs. 3. So close, yet so far. You escape, but it was last minute. The demon got you, and no one will ever know. At least not until your friends die at your hands (or maybe your eyes are red to tease that you're possessed but otherwise open ended) 3. Not today suckas. Where you get the survivor's secret weapon, and kill the demon yourself. (true?) 4. A mistake? Where the survivor is possibly an evil dick, worse then the lowly demon who has possessed you. Open ending. (true?)

on laughter-silvered wings by ThatOnePlatypus | HP x KHR | Harry-is-Skull
It's a Harry Potter x Katekyo Hitman Reborn series, where of course, Harry is Skull. I found it very relaxing to read, and it's probably gonna have a special place in my heart as one of those really wholesome and fluffy and funny moments (especially with the second work. moments just for the sake of moments. no crazy stuff, not necessarily any progression or big stuff, but like. very enjoyable.) its different from like, when i run into a really good story (that's probably a long one) and get attached to characters. i basically live and breathe in the same world? its different. but it was honestly a breath of fresh air in comparison to the many 'harry is skull angst' because of the arcobaleno treating him like shit? and while i am all for bashing of any kind, sometimes its just. nice to just not pay it any mind? and focus on bonds and stuff like that.
it felt like. it could be a way of moving on, i guess? like there's been many iterations of harry potter i've seen. and it could've very easily had a grieving harry, but no its become more then that. and i really appreciate that? and i adored it.
not lingering too much on the sad parts. not necessarily moving forward and past that but like, not letting it drag you down. not letting it make or break your world. it was nice.
finally figured out the pattern on color thing.
went a little overkill but shh

reference although i really just copied it so i could have a base to test out stuff with. and would you look at that? easy to draw character

The Bat Shaped Bird / Batbros Fic (Fic Rec)
Beneath Gotham there is something. Anyone who spends time with their feet on the ground can tell you that much. At the surface level it's goons and scared street kids. Beneath them are the sewers, haunted by endless appetites and the scraping of hide against stone. Beneath that is glowing green, craving warmth of blood and rage, hunting for its host. And even further beneath that is something other. Above Gotham there is something. Anyone who spends time in the city can tell you that much. In the shadows of tall buildings or on outcrops of stone there was movement. Flashes of color or shadows taken form. Ever watchful eyes following the movement of the cities beating heart. Some feared what was above, some feared what was below. But for one... well one craved both.
i love this fic so much. and i sobbed. (note that some chapters are intentionally confusing. if you cant handle that you probably shouldnt read cause it felt like a trip and a half) and it was a very cool read.
also takes place around. well. tim. and of course means it goes around it goes over jason's death and stuff. so. be prepared for shitty batfamily members because they're grieving and angry
tim-centric.
tim makes friends with a god lmfao
made up a jujutsu technique for a fic
haha havent posted in a hot minute. forgot i had this account acutally.
anyway im writing a jjk crossover, and im so stuck on Fontaine and Furina's story you can see its influenced it a lot. its not a genshin crossover though lmfao. i still have the dialogue memorized. "For the sinner, the curtain call has come."
this is also influenced by. well. MANGA SPOILERS (for like the. preparation arc whatcha ma call it? post-shibuya). but. you know. that guy who when he hits like the jackpot he gets like. basically immortal for as long as like i think the theme song lasts?? but he can like, keep triggering more of like th thingies so if hes really lucky iirc, he could keep going on and on?
(Melpomene, the innate technique where he’d put on a ‘mask’ and perform for an invisible audience. Effects vary depending on the type and/or popularity points gained. Unable to be harmed when this is in effect, however in turn, making an error such as going off script, messing up, or being boring/unsatisfying will grant him punishment.
Alternatively, if he goes off script or does an action not in the performance but making it entertaining will grant him bonus points with the audience. This can include attacks against enemies, especially with the use of cursed energy and whatever weapon he has, however messing up will of course provide consequences.
Think of it as a judgement scale but based on audience reaction. Horrible performances leave him ‘sentenced’. One of those sentences include the death sentence (more likely to be triggered by a shameful defeat, where he’s facing an opponent so overpowering that the audience isn’t happy. When it happens, the blade of a guillotine will rise above his head, and he will perform [The Curtain Call], dancing his last moments away, before finally lowering his head, bowing to the audience, and decapitating himself), the risk granting him more power then otherwise.
When giving what could be considered a perfect performance (very rare), he will trigger [Apotheosis], automatically forming a domain named [Sinner’s Finale] with a sure-hit factor, where the opponent is on the stage, facing the judgement of the audience.
Like all domains, if the opponent is strong enough, [Sinner’s Finale] will fail, and [technique user, im not giving away who] will get punished in their stead, triggering [The Curtain Call]. The risk of [Sinner’s Finale] however boosts him to where it is very unlikely that it’ll happen, as most strong opponents will get the idea of what conditions he needs to trigger and thus prevent him from performing a perfect performance.
He cannot use Domain Expansion otherwise however.)

does this look good at all?
i dont usually draw anything, and that's because I really suck at it. But I was looking at someone's art, and thinking a lot about like art stuff (I can't be the only one whose watched someone like, replicate a style)
and i remembered i had this brush that kind of. had that fade effect.
and admittedly most of it is with that brush. but its also like. i have no clue if its good or not. i dont draw often, and i have no idea what works best with what and all that jazz.
also new struggle to deal with: body proportions. yay.
anyway usually i post this art stuff on my other blog because its my old one so i have a bunch of random stuff on it. buuuuuuuut honestly whats the point of that?
anyway whenever i do an art thing i always get like. 'its so good!' and feel immensely proud of myself? this can happen when i write a fic thing that ive been really excited for. But it's like, hours later when I'm thinking back on it I realize 'actually it was kind of really dumb'. I mean, I have mixed feelings on this one, purely because there are so many flaws. But also. Before I've only managed to do eyes before I had to stop because it looked horrid.
But. so.
I've been playing Furistas Cat Cafe (a mobile game) a lot recently. and I was looking at like the menu art thing

and noted how the face shading was like curved and circle-y? so then i had the idea of it going from darkest and then circling it with lighter and lighter shades
looking at it now though, the colors are so muted and dull that its kind of hard to really notice things. ah.
