sorry guys had another story idea

about a character, the story is from the author's point of view

im prolly not gonna explain this well

i have seven minutes to type this aaaaaa

ok so

author shows up in story as a side character, and tells mc that he's fictional

mc starts having an identity crisis

goes through the plotline knowing it's all fake, but can't bring himself to tell his friends that and spoil their existence, but he's being crushed by the weight of knowing that his every move is documented by an all-powerful entity

and then the final boss of the sandbox made for him to play in tells him

"the author doesn't have time to write everything, child."

this is how he realizes that, while the big moments are all decided for him, as to what will happen, all the little things are up to him

the story ends with the author saying

"I could tell you what he realized, all on his own, alone in his room. I could tell you every precise detail and word. But then, it wouldn't be all on his own. He deserves a little privacy."

all the thiings that happen while the readers and author aren't looking are told by background characters, like "wow, you really killed it, that intense thought process was wild!"

well maybe not that but yeah

Quack’s Writing Ideas: Day 7

A dimension hopper trapped in the world of the story, who’s gone through dozens of dimensions. So they have knowledge and weapons and all sorts of things from across different dimensions that they can use in the story, stuff that just wouldn’t be possible in the mainline reality.

They could have like a weapon that breaks the magic weapon system rules, a book which contains forbidden magic that doesn’t have as many drawbacks because the evil spirits are stuck in the other dimension, etc. Maybe not the strongest character, but ones with more possibilities because of their experiences and items.

Quack’s Writing Ideas: #8

So it’s a character from out of the time era. The story itself can be futuristic, modern, fantasy, whatever. But the character themselves isn’t like 1000 years displaced, they’re just from 20 or 30 years in the past. So they’ve got to get back up to speed on social customs and the state of the world, but they’re an asset because they’ve got mad detective skills or something like that. So it’s like a little goofy adventure teaching the way of the world to this weird hippie who didn’t get time to change with the time.

Omg y’all know that thing where there’s a fake fiction within the fiction you’re reading, like a character will be reading a book that’s clearly a knockoff of another, like Harriet Porter and the Dungeon of Mysteries or smth? And it’s just never mentioned outside of being an Easter egg?

We need more of that.

Think about this: A morally gray character that is so unhinged, that they end up accidentally killing the villain and now everyone thinks their a hero, when in actuality they have no idea why everyone is cheering for them.

I can SO see a BakuDeku fanfic coming together with this prompt! I can also see it for DabiDeku...and TodoDeku. Yep! I am in MHA Brainrot Hell, and I have no regrets!

something something willing loss as a tenet of sharran faith and what better tribute to the dark lady than shadowheart sacrificing her lifeblood to a creature of the darkness stripped of his humanity and free will, claiming a lost soul condemned to life in darkness as her own and nourishing him in shar’s name etc etc

maybe after some time it’s not about losing her blood and accepting the pain and exhaustion as a sort of dedication fast but a desire to give instead, to give astarion what he needs in every capacity (blood, kindness, a listening ear, protection, agency, etc) to the point where her religious dedication to shar pales in comparison to his whole-hearted devotion.
