So Far, Things Are Going According To Plan. Wig Is Cut And Waiting On Styling, And Vest Pieces Are Cut

So far, things are going according to plan. Wig is cut and waiting on styling, and vest pieces are cut and pinned. I may even be able start on that or finishing hemming the dress sleeves tonight. Or both, if the wig goes well. Both would be good.

khamsin replied to your post “Kija cosplay is still a maybe for TnT…”

I’m gonna knock out as much as I can of shin ah in the next few evenings…might have to do a bit of sewing/felting work on ao in the car or at your place Thursday, but I think shin ah can be basically ready

I think kitaswanderings is planning to have Yona done, so I’d really like to have at least a rough version of Kija to wear for goofing off and being dragon nerds together, even if maybe the wig still needs a little styling and I just end up painting my hand instead of having the big claw.

We can call it our dress rehearsal and really go all-out by DC and Naka. :)

I really don’t understand why it is that the counselors wait until I am on my lunch before they suddenly start spamming me with emails needing this, that, and the other thing, and coming into my office demanding I do something or look for a file for them (because walking a whole extra foot to the damned filing cabinets behind me is so hard), or whatever else it is that they suddenly need me for OMG RIGHT THIS MINUTE. And they are always surprised I’m on lunch.

Uh, guys? I’ve had the same lunch schedule since I started here. They also get the same answer, every time they come for me: “I’m on lunch. Can this wait?” and 99% of the time, it can. Or it can be handled by someone who isn’t on lunch.

It doesn’t matter if I eat in my office or in the break room. If I am somewhere in our office suite, someone (or more likely, multiple someones) will hunt me down and want me to work while on lunch (but gods forbid someone ask them to work on their lunch hour *grumble*). I’m starting to think that, despite the heat, I need to find somewhere outside the office suite to eat my lunch. I may always tell them ‘no’ and follow through, but I’m still really tired of having my break interrupted every few minutes.

...Actually, now that I think about it, the counselors go straight for whichever one of us is actually on lunch, even if it means completely bypassing the admin person who is CLEARLY available to get to the one on lunch.

My hairspray apparently got thrown out at some point. But a quick run to Walgreen's fixed that. ...and landed me one of those Disney Princess make up bags. Someone is actually going to wear make up to work tomorrow...

ratherthansleeping is also here. And we're all dying.

kitaswanderings and fontscosplay are watching Nozaki-kun and I’m getting commentary via text and it is HILARIOUS.

Okay, I hate the heat and humidity we get in Kansas. Hate it. I do not do well in it and every summer I basically die. (I grew up in an area that rarely sees temperatures over 95--maybe a week’s worth, max--and certainly doesn’t see the humidity we get here.) Air conditioning is a necessity here, and I can totally relate to those husky/malamute pups that like to sit in fridges when it’s hot. But this, this is excessive.

It feels like the friggin’ middle of winter in my office right now (the entire office suite is freezing, and I’m not dressed for anything colder than maybe 75 degrees). When the weather had first started warming up, I had intended to take my ‘office hoodie’ home, but never got around to it. I’m glad I didn’t because I needed it. And I wish I didn’t wear so many skirts and dresses to work, because my legs are frozen. I’ve been having to curl up awkwardly on my chair to get my skirt to cover my legs. I have had 4 mugs of tea today, just to keep a hot drink at my desk to defrost my fingers on (not that the caffeine or the hot water have been doing their respective jobs very well).

And a certain counselor is throwing tantrums again, so my inbox has been spammed with ridiculous, petty emails designed to give me more work/make things far harder than they need to be. I’m ignoring all of her emails right now, unless it is relevant to something I’m doing.

Right now I am a tired, freezing ball of discontent and rage and feelings of murder.
