" It Looks Worse Than It Feels. " -James To Aggie
" it looks worse than it feels. " -James to Aggie
blood, blood, gallons of the stuff! / accepting!
agatha sighs, looking away, her hands lowering to her lap. she shakes her head. " how it looks or feels is beside the point, james. i told you not to get into fights for me. just because some guy comes up to me, flirting with me, i-it doesn't mean he won't take 'i have a boyfriend' for an answer. " she sighs again and resumes gently dabbing the alcohol wipe at the cut on his cheek. when the guy punched him after james struck first, his ring had cut into his skin. agatha shakes her head again. this was her fault. it always is. she places a bandaid over the cut after putting some salve over it.
agatha tends to his hands now, carefully wiping the blood from his knuckles, staying silent for a few moments longer. " you react like that like... like you're afraid i'll flirt back o-or i'll leave with them. " her gaze flickers up to his eyes. " do you think you're not good enough for me? do you think the moment someone 'better' comes along, i'll leave? because you know me better than that, james. you know i wouldn't, you know i believe you're more than enough for me. " gently she smooths over the bandaids she puts over james' knuckles. she traces her thumb over them before bringing his hand to her lips, pressing the gentlest of kisses over the bandaids.

" i don't want or need anyone else in my life but you. you know that, but i'll gladly remind you every time you want or need to hear it. " agatha smiles, leaning up to kiss his lips. " there is no 'better' when you're already the best. you're my everything and i'm not going anywhere. you're stuck with me for life, james. "

agatha, while in a relationship, has sought out sex as a form of comfort after nightmares. it's the quickest and easiest way to make her forget the nightmare and exhaust her enough and put her back at enough ease to be able to fall back asleep. obviously, this is agatha, i don't think i have to say she won't start feeling her partner up without consent. she'll wake them (if her nightmare didn't wake them as well), tell them what happened, and ask if they feel up to a round. if not, then she won't press, and she'll either just curl up against her partner or get out of bed and find some other form of comfort. she might make herself some tea and read, she might draw or paint.

" oh, th-that s-sounds gorgeous! " agatha beams, lacing her fingers under her chin. she's sure she must've loved it when her husband proposed with it at the time. " it is! a-among other colors, l-like yellow a-andβ and p-pink. i-i l-love all colors, b-but g-green is up there at the top. still, i-i-i think i'd be just as happy w-with a ring w-with a yellow and pink stone, too. "All gems are beautiful." Lisa Lisa said. "But I agree, my late husband George got me a ring with a gem that matched my eye color. It was a gold and sapphire ring." She mused. "I take it green is your favorite color?"
Ugh we started at "I can fix him" and now we're at "I can love him and his psychopathic tendencies unconditionally."

oh, that really makes the faerie blush now. " y-you think so? " she asks, her tone a bit sheepish as her gaze averts briefly. " way to make a gal feel special. " she giggles softly, looking back up at him as she takes one of the menus. " after my last relationship ended, a couple friends thought it'd be good if i put myself back out there to help me move on. had a handful of dates but they didn't really go anywhere. they were more interested in hookups than i was, so no, that's not why i'm on the app. " it's a little disappointing, but if tinder didn't work, agatha probably would've just gone back to hoping she'd happen to bump into someone that would have an interest in her. it's the hopeless romantic in her.
" i was even going to delete the app off of my phone until i saw you in my notifications. because of you, i wanted to give it at least one more chance. " agatha tells him with a smile, glancing over the menu to decide on what she'd like to drink and eat. she sets the menu aside, folding her hands on the table. regardless of how the date goes, good or bad, she'll be deleting the app from her phone anyway. " honestly, i have high hopes of our first date turning out well. i mean, we don't have to get past any awkward stages, we don't have to be anyone other than ourselves. it feels... natural. " and it does to agatha, it really does, and so she hopes even more that it'll go well.
What should he choose? He was still looking at the menu. He should be the one to pay, right? Girls normally expected that. Nnoitra had a bad habit of never paying for anything if he could help it. It probably came from how he'd been really poor for most of his life. Agatha didn't know about that. Nnoitra wasn't one to share much about himself unless asked, so his past had never come up in conversation. Probably for the best.
He looked up from the menu to see Agatha arrive. She was smiling, and touched his shoulder before she sat down. She was dressed nicely, he noted. Nnoitra liked his women feminine. The least attractive kind of woman was one who tried to be masculine, so he could definitely appreciate Agatha's chose of outfit. When he was picking up a chick to fuck, he'd go for that bimbo-look. But - he wouldn't want a potential girlfriend to dress like a slut. She'd styled her hair too. She was way better at that than him.

She sat down opposite him. He was smiling a little too. Not wide enough to show teeth yet, but that changed when she mentioned him swiping on her profile. He grinned. β Yer obviously girlfriend material. β He really was a straight-forward sort of guy, and didn't feel embarrassed about stating this. β Yeah, I was surprised 'ta see ya on there. Didn't know ya were lookin' 'fer someone. I'm guessin' ya ain't on there 'fer a simple hook-up. β That was how A LOT of people used that app. β I've been single 'fer, what? Three years? So 's time 'ta at least try 'ta date again. β He said it like he wasn't hoping for much success. Better take the pressure off of her. He wanted her to know that even if this date didn't work out between them, they could still be friends. She'd have to do something REALLY fucked-up for him to not want to be friends with her anymore. The one who had to make sure not to fuck up was HIM. He often hurt people. On purpose, most of the time, but also unintentionally. He supposed it was a good thing that he had an incentive to behave on this date. Keeping her friendship. That way she'd get to see the better side of him. The side that ( hopefully ) could pull its shit together.
