Daphne smiled, her children were still young, but she couldn't claim not to feel a little panicked herself at the thought of her children growing up and leaving home.

"Oh, Mama. If you miss the noise and the hustle and bustle, why don't you come visit Simon and I for a while? The children would love to see you and we have plenty of chaos to share."

"Mama?" It wasn't like her mother to speak this way, especially because Daphne tried to spend time with her family of origin as much as possible, she wanted to raise her own children the way she was raised, surrounded by family.

"What brought all this on?"

His arms wrapped around her in an instant. Edmund had lived a very different life than Violet had, but she was his family now, and he knew without a doubt he'd do anything for her.

Grinning, Gracie grabbed Eloise's hand and pulled her outside. She knew of a bar not far from here where they could go.

"Have you ever been to a Lesbian bar?"

"Awesome, I might know a place we can go," Gracie said with a conspiratorial smile.

"Meet me in the lobby in ten? We'll make our get away." The blonde said, collecting her stuff and heading for the door, she only stopped to say her goodbyes to the host quickly and collect her coat, so she could wait for Eloise to slip out.

Eloise Bridgerton was an interesting girl, not too much younger than Gracie, there was a spark in the brunette that Gracie liked and wanted to see more of.

I still dream about him sometimes. Just us, together, laughing. I wake up feeling like he’s watching over me. It’s nice.
