Pisgah National Forest, it’s been too long my friend. It’s been a little over a year since I got my boots on the trails here. It felt so good today.
And to think the place I use to plan road-trips and book hotel rooms to visit is now a quick drive away. I love this forest so much, and its waterfalls I can walk behind.

Back in December, a few weeks after I moved here and started my new job, I visited one of our office locations. While I was there, I was introduced to a little stray cat that had been living around the office for a few months. It was love at first sight for me.
It didn’t take long for me to decide I was taking her in, and from the first day we met, we instantly connected. The process took a few weeks, and with the help of coworkers, I took her home two weeks ago! I’ve been busy playing with her lately, so I haven’t been on tumblr as much.
So, now I have a pet! Meet Ophelia❤️

going hiking with the mutuals would fix me

This beach has been my backyard for the past 5 years, and this area has been home to me my whole life. I have a love/hate relationship with the area as I’m sure everyone does with their homes. When it comes to the nature here, it’s a huge part of who I am.
The marshes, live oaks, islands, beaches, palmettos, and dunes are so special to me, and I hope moving away gives me the opportunity to appreciate them in a new way now. In a few minutes I’m about to leave this home and head to another. I love the mountains, but I am sure am going to miss my beach.
