Okay Christine Daae is THE MOST UNJUSTIFIABLY OVERHATED CHARACTER IN MUSICAL HISTORY. THERE I SAID IT.
This VERY YOUNG WOMAN somewhere from 15-22 lost her father, the only person she ever had, at a young age and found her way of expressing grief through music. a MUCH OLDER MAN (we are not going to deny this fact please) saw her and decided to take advantage of that grief in order for her to fall in love with him (I know he had his reasons but it STILL HAPPENED) and after she found out how the man manipulated her she still understood why he did it, even after he KILLED PEOPLE she saw that he just wanted her love, and even after he threatened to KILL HER AND HER FIANCÉE for EXISTING (“now let it be war upon you both”) she was VERY smart and knew how to break the murderous trance that Erik was in, by showing him the one thing she knew he needed, compassion. She has the unique ability to see good in people when it’s not visible to anyone else, even after it seems like they’re past the point of ever being good again. That’s some LUKE SKYWALKER SHIT. She is literally a HEROINE who does not let anyone’s shit get to her, not raouls dumbass plan, not Erik’s anger. She wants to SING HER SONGS and she WILL, DAMN IT. Yes she’s naive sometimes but what did you want?? Her to be perfect?? Then you’d just call her a Mary Sue. Also she was a GRIEF STRICKEN YOUNG GIRL WITH FAITH IN THE WORLD OF COURSE SHE’D BELIEVE A NICE VOICE TEACHING HER TO SING AND BELIEVE IN HERSELF.
Christine Daae is a SMART, BRAVE, EMPATHETIC, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CHARACTER AND IF I SEE ONE MORE PERSON BLAMING HER FOR *ANYTHING* THAT HAPPENED TO HER I AM GOING TO EXPLODE.

Fight One:
Triplets VS 1950s Erik
I haven’t watched the latter, so I feel really out of my element. I do thoroughly enjoy the triplets one, but, to be realistic triplets Eric isn’t doing anything. That guy can only grovel and I think that’s what makes him so wonderful but also what will make him lose in this bracket.

Animated Erik VS Love Never Dies Erik
The choice of photo for love never dies Erik was not accidental. That dude can’t even disarm a gun. Animated Erik wins by default.

Phantom of the mall VS the OG OG
This isn’t even fair. I almost feel bad for the kid, he’s just a teen boy who works out a lot, fighting against a man who is not only an ex assassin, but an assassin with a readily available collection of gun powder. Enough gun powder to blow up an entire opera house. 
Note that I said almost, Erik from phantom of the mall tries to touch his Christine’s no-no square so…

Fight Four:
Rat VS atomic bomb
See how he raises his hand like that? That’s him smiting rat Erik like a flaming Zues. Not fair, not at all. Not because I have watched the movie and went through arduous effort finding out his exact power level. I will not put myself through that suffering. I just decided he deserves to die, and I gave musical Erik the power to.
In all seriousness, I think that musical Eric is powerful enough to be able to do that. Not only does he have his weird flaming staff, I think it is debatable as to whether he is an actual ghost, or has some sort of mind control powers. There is no like exact proof as to how strong they are, because at his best, which I assume is with Christine, he loses so fast, and actually gets mind controlled himself, so they seem to be kind of flimsy. But if he is an actual ghost, it means he is in unkillable, because he is already dead. 
The more I get into this rabbit hole, the weirder it gets. Because if we are to assume that love never dies is canon, which I am not in this bracket, it means that his son has magical powers. His son having magical powers means that he had some magical power to inherit. Which is weird on the plot overall since it does retcon the idea that he’s a ghost, but perhaps he is weirder than a ghost maybe?? Perhaps he is some weird… horny…. creature …? Fuck that’s all Eriks.

First off, it’s too difficult to analyze the power levels and put them on a list. Instead, I’m going to put them on a smash bracket.
Fight one:
Spooks Erik VS Bootleg Erik
This might be incorrect, but from my viewing of spooks I swear Erik killed his Christine(Christine takes off his mask, and he chokes her. She never reappears after that scene).Which makes him possibly the first Erik to KILL his Christine. And, bootleg Erik sits at a solid zero kills if memory serves. So…

Fight Two:
Winslow VS Susan Kay Erik
The fairness of this fight ultimately depends on which age Susan Kay Erik is. I doubt baby Erik would win, young adult Erik perhaps, but old man Erik is on his death bed. So to give K!Erik some leeway (and because adult erik is basically leroux with a heart problem) we’ll assume it’s a more youthful Erik. Meanwhile, Winslow is technically indestructible. Winslow has a solid, if not a little impractical, head on his shoulders. The real question is would he kill K!Erik before he finds out the limits of his contract. The answer? It’s a coin toss in my mind. Yes a literal coin toss.
Winslow is heads.

Fight Three:
Hammer horror Erik VS Gerik
Automatic win for Hammer Horror Erik(I haven’t even seen the Hammer Horror Erik). Gerik can’t even choke someone and loses a sword fight to a twink.

Fight Four:
Chaney VS Cherik
What are the odds that in a random bracket the two guys who die by mob fight eachother? Since there’s not much to go off out of livability, I’m going to scale them by kill count. As far as I know, all of Cherik’s kills are accidental, not to say he’s innocent, just that at one point he does does play peekaboo with a dead body (poor Carlotta). Meaning that Cherik is not above using violence to get what he wants. I think some people over estimate his innocence(he is kinder in the grand scheme of Eriks). Love you Lon Chaney Erik, but you absolutely fumbled your death. At least Cherik went out with a little dignity, bro threw a fake grenade and said “that’s all folks!”

I've always associated erik with owl especially barn owls because their faces are kinda uncanny and they look like they're wearing masks so...OWL ERIK????

I saw someone make a headcannon post, so why not?
Erik:
• he knows pressure points, human weaknesses, etc. basically my excuse to say Erik would know how to disarm Meg in LND because what was that.
• good at everything to an infuriating level. (Everything psychological not so much)
• has an arsenal of dad jokes he uses in increasingly insensitive ways.
• has some weird thing about size. Type of guy to call you “small” as a flirtatious move…
• easily hurt, both physically and emotionally, but refuses to take a break or admit it. Unless Christine is concerned, then he’ll do nothing but wail about it for attention.
• his hands are both cold and smelly, take that translation truthers!
• if he were an ordinary man, he’d still be a complete snob.
• when he’s going crazy he vents his emotions out on a Carlotta-esque toad puppet. There is a tiny wooden stick he beats it with.
Christine:
• would love Fiona Apple.
• her love language is tolerating you.
• people call her “nice” because they rarely speak to her at all. Not that she isn’t, but I’ve always thought she was a bit asocial.
• extremely empathetic to animals. She can’t even kill a spider. (Ahem)
• dislikes being touched.
• moved around with her father a lot, so she has some pretty severe attachment issues. She had good reasons to leave Erik, but Raoul(while he can be a jerk) takes the brunt of her poor coping mechanisms.
• In another life, had Erik not been so pushy and murder-y, they would’ve been very very close.
• Asexual. Yeah. Take that.
• Or she at least would dislike the very potent closeness and intimacy the devils tango brings. In other words sex repulsed.
• After the book, I imagine she took a small break from opera. She'd spent so much of her life doing things for others, and now it was time to do something for herself. Maybe she started singing what she wanted to sing, or maybe she pursued something entirely different. My idea: she began writing stories. After all, her connection to them had always been strong.
• a private woman, thus why she didn’t speak with leroux.
Raoul:
• can be an asshole, but more willing to admit it that others. I choose to interpret the fact that he so readily admitted how cruel he was(to a man who would publish this no less!) as an admission of guilt.
• would never take away music from her.
• a bit pudgy, but has some real muscle beneath it. He can’t be a twink doing sailor work I don’t think. (That rhymed!)
• hates Erik for taking his brother from him. He has a hard time watching Christine mourn Erik because of it.
Daroga:
• becomes Christine’s friend after the plot of the book. How, you ask? Beats me.
• I don’t have many headcannons about him I’m so sorry. Please, pitch your own id love to see em! He’s such an interesting character I feel so bad!
