Gravity falls AU concept art!!! I finally had a little time off to make this so I hope y’all enjoy.

This is for the role reversal AU (to put it simply) that I still don’t have a name for. I’m still figuring out designs, personality, and story ideas so it’s gonna be rough till that’s all been fleshed out

A couple little fun facts for this AU under the cut

So Ford is from the third dimension, but I don’t think it was destroyed. He probably just built the portal (like in canon) but without Bill’s help ofc. Still figuring out how he attains godlike powers, but I’ll figure something out dw

Similarly to canon Ford jumps between massive ego and crippling insecurity, but now with powers on top of that this makes for a very (self)destructive combo

Ford knows a lot of the secrets of the universe and is scary smart. Even more so than in canon

Curiosity is definitely Ford’s driving force in this AU. He has a thirst for knowledge that will never end

I wouldn’t say he’s evil because I hate jumping on the band wagon of ‘ohhh Ford’s a selfish terrible person and he’s evil and blah blah’ y’know? I get this is an AU, but I still just don’t want to get into that black and white mindset. I’d say that he’s just incredibly egotistical and is definitely selfish. His curiosity drives him to do things that probably are not great

Ford genuinely sees himself as a muse bestowing wisdom on a being he sees as worthy. Someone just as weird as him. His ego definitely makes him feel like only Weird creatures of the multiverse can appreciate the knowledge he has worked so hard to obtain

Bill is very reclusive. He struggles with feelings of alienation due to his mutation and finds himself unable to make connections with his people that see things so vastly different than him

Ford appeared to Bill not long before he was going to enact his plan of showing everyone the stars. This postponed it indefinitely because Ford is a certified yapper and continues to distract him from it

Also if/when Ford finds out about this plan, Ford being much more knowledgable about dimensions and other math stuff would be like “I don’t think that’s possible without causing complete destruction of this dimension.” And Bill would be like “oh damn fr?”

I mentioned this in my previous post about this, but Bill calls Ford ‘my star’ because star symbolism go brrrrrr

Why does my brain feel the need to make angsty scenarios about Jay dying? Like- stuff about Tim finding him before he inevitably died- or him leaving a recorded message for Tim on his camera. And those are just the ones that aren't self indulgent (yes I'm one of those people who makes self inserts for different fandoms)- honestly those ones are more heartbreaking because it feels like I'm actually there. Anyways time to cry
