I mean think about it- teenagers were expected to perfectly relive their parents’ stories, even if they were going to be the villain of the story. Need I remind you, Raven Queen’s mother is in prison! Basically she’s being expected to do crimes and then go to prison for them, and is looked down on for...not wanting to go to prison? Cerise Hood and her sister have to hide that they are siblings, because they’re the children of the Big Bad Wolf and Red Riding Hood, which wasn’t how the story was supposed to end. And, in the books, when Raven tries joining a music class, she gets DENIED TO JOIN THE CLASS, because it’s not a class for a “villain.” Honestly, you go rebels- this stuff is creepy now that I think about it
