I Think My Number One Issue With Frank Breitkopf Is That They Want Him To Be Hannibal Lecter Sooooo Bad.

im specifically thinking of anthony hopkins' performance of hannibal lecter when i say this btw at least to me i think theres VERY clear inspiration im not necessarily saying that it's an awful idea to have a villain inspired by anthony hopkins' performance of hannibal or just a “large ham” villain in general theres a reason that performance works and theres a reason that trope is popular! i just think frank breitkopf is a bad execution ive been fighting not to use the word “derivative” lest i be cast into the pit of pretentiousness but go ahead and cast me into the pit. it feels derivative to me! im sorry to anyone who is deeply attached to frank breitkopf </3 he is just too silly to me au of no way out where they find the silence of the lambs in frank's possession and realise he in-universe wants to be hannibal lecter soooooo bad im mostly joking. im moreso saying frank breitkopf would have worked better for me if him being Like That was a performance but no im just supposed to think he talks like that for real and then also take him seriously. i just cant do that im sorry negative pretty light-hearted negative but still not fic criminal minds rewatch criminal minds s02e23 the evilution of frank the exclusion of the fandom tag is intentional. i dont know how controversial of an opinion “frank breitkopf is a bad villain” is but criminal minds 2x23
