A Small Doodle To Test Out My Brand New Brush Pens. I Love Them So Much, The Texture They Bring Is Really

A small doodle to test out my brand new brush pens. I love them so much, the texture they bring is really interesting. I'm usually the person who wants my coloring/shading to be as smooth as creamy peanut butter, but I am absolutely loving the wide variety in just one pen!! ⤠Still not happy with his face though.....

I couldnāt resist drawing my favorite sketch of Ernest H. Shepardās illustrations from A. A. Milneās second Winnie-the-Pooh book, The House at Pooh Corner. When I was looking at Shepardās drawings online I found that he also did the illustrations for The Wind the Willows, which was (and still is) one of my favorite books since early middle school. I wish that childrenās books today had this level of quality in their illustrations. You would think with the advent of technology that we could produce high quality illustrations like this in an even shorter amount of time, but I keep seeing these really cheap looking books that saddens me to no end.

Watched Logan recently and it blew me away! Hugh Jackmanās performance of old Logan was amazing and, personally, this was Hugh at his best and finest. So, naturally, I had to scour the internet for photos to draw.

First post of 2018! YAY!
(but itās already May ............ woops)
Experimenting with Autodesk Sketchbook and these schnazzy little art figurines I got as a birthday gift. Hereās a link to show what they look like:

Start to finish didnāt take as long as I thought it would (though it was still probably about 2 hours). It seems I can be very efficient sketching-wise with the figurine, so thatās super neat.
Still not 100% satisfied with the coloring of his hair, but with time comes skill, I guess.

Yay, actually decided on what my OC Christopher from my soon-to-be-realized comic The Raven Prince will look like!!!!!
Iāve been thinking about this project for so long, but couldnāt get myself to sit down and draw my characters (in all honesty, I do have quite a few ...).
But with Autodeskās many free brush sets, I was able to tinker around and find something I truly love. Without it, I would have never have thought of giving Christopher freckles (though since the comic will be colored in grayscale, Iām curious how Iām going to render them).
So happy! ... though, Iām not so sure about the size and shape of his eyes yet.Ā
