Spoilers for house of the dragons episode 10
Hotd episode 10 was leaked and most of us saw what happened to poor Luke. I find it really annoying how people are defending Aemond and this is coming from a person who likes Aemond (I’m team black tho don’t get it twisted) Stop defending this man. He chased after Luke on VHAGAR. Vhagar is in the first generation of Westeros dragons. The biggest Dragon in the show. I’m pretty sure Agon the conqueror used her in his conquest, so she’s a war veteran. Aemond chased Luke, what the fuck did he think was gonna happen? That he could mess with Luke a bit then fly off after? NO! I’m pretty sure dragons can feel their riders intent and Aemond doesn’t like Luke (for obvious reasons). Vhagar felt Aemond hated Luke and killed him.
Do I think it was an accident? OBVIOUSLY! I don’t think Aemond wanted to kill Luke just like how I don’t think he really wants this war. But his actions are a direct responsibility for the war starting. He shouldn’t have used Vhagar like she is some toy, Vhagar is a dragon! It’s like giving a child a gun and being surprised when someone gets killed. And I understand people are saying “he lost control of his dragon!” Okay? So did Luke, his dragon attacked back trying to protect him because his dragon was scared for Luke and his life! It doesn’t make what Aemond did right. Now because of his actions we are going to have to sit and watch the blood and cheese arc.

Jokes aside, I am reaaally happy about this. Our girl Alicent deserves some joy in her life, especially knowing what is about to happen.
Though I do pray that whatever goes on between them occurs after b&c, or at the very least, not during it.
The last thing I want to see is Ali being horrendously punished for thinking about herself for the first time. Also, you know, Alicole, Alicent and Criston antis would have a field day, hating on them for getting it on as Helaena and her kids suffered.
(As if their beloved blacks weren't responsible for this tragedy in the first place but whatever.)
We should also take into account the fact that Alicole acting on their feelings after b&c would add a lot more meaning to their relationship in general.
Two souls broken by grief, finding comfort in one another by completely forgetting about their duties and positions after years of repressing what they felt.

HOTD S2 Episode 8 leaks (updating)
Kingslanding:
Aemond burned down villages at Sharppoint out of rage and humiliation. He took life of common folk so he could feel strong again.
He tried to drag Helaena into war but get yelled by Alicent. He also thought it’s an insult that bastard could ride dragons. He tried to drive his sister into war not just for victory but also for “burning the sin”.
Aemond talked to Helaena on the balcony again.
Helaena said: “And if I refuse，will you burn me as you did Aegon?”
Aemond: That’s a lie.
Helaena: I saw it. You burned him and you let him fall.
Aemond: What you said is treason.
Helaena: Aegon will be King again. He’s yet to see victory. He will sit on the wooden throne. And you, you will be dead. You will be swallowed by the God’s eye and you will never be seen again.
Aemond: I could have you killed.
Helaena: That doesn’t change anything.
Helaegon nation arise!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Dragonstone:
Alicent tried to convince Helaena to leave and clearly she didn’t finally agree. Alicent went to Dragonstone to see Rhaenyra.

Alicent told Rhaenyra about Aemond and Cole’s plot and whereabouts. She promised when Rhaenyra come to Kingslanding, Helaena as Queen will surrender and open the city gate. She said she could talk Aegon into bending knees as well. But Rhaenyra insisted she need to have Aegon beheaded publicly.
Ulf keep stimulated Jace with his dark hair and said something like we are both dragonriders. He behaved badly on the dinner scene.
Jace was pretty upset same reason as the last episode. He thought dragon was the only thing that proved his worth. Baela told him a man’s worth has nothing to do with the dragon or title but should be decided by who he truly is. Jace said it’s hard because he was laughed at during his entire life.

Harrenhal:
Rhaenyra and Aadam (seasmoke’s dargonrider) went to Harrenhal to see Daemon and the army he had in riverland.
Daemon kneeled and sworn loyalty to her. He began to realize the nation has to stand united under Rhaenyra so he abandoned his desire for the throne. Because he touched the weirwood tree and saw the future including Rhaenyra sitting on the throne, blood raven, white walker and Danny with three newly hatched dragons.
The sextual tension between these two is amazingly. Pray for the bed in Harrenhal tonight 🥵🥵
It’s amusing to know how delusional some helaemond stans are.
Like Helaena said “Aegon will be King again and you will be dead” they think that means she didn’t care Aegon’s life but care about Aemond’s 🤪
Oh Aemond wanted the throne so bad to committ fratricide, one of the worst crimes in Westeros. He was also a coward and did not have the balls to admit it. But Helaena knows them all exactly. She pointed out to tell Aemond that YOU NEVER GONNA GET WHAT YOU WANT AND YOU WILL BE DEAD AND NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN BUT AEGON SAW THE VICTORY. You could argue she said these not out of love for Aegon. But saying it shows she cared Aemond’s life in a romantic way??? So amusing 🤣🤣🤣
And stop saying how gentle he was to Helaena. HE TRIED TO PUSH HER INTO FUCKING WAR WHICH SHE CLEARLY SAID SHE HATE. He pulled her violently and hurt her. He’s the one abusive to Helaena. Not Aegon.
Helaena said she was happier before being queen. In episode one, Aegon did not lay a hand on her or said anything hurtful to her even they have arguments. So how could she’s happier if Aegon used to abuse her or even rape her when she’s not yet queen? (Yes I know they gonna put out the 1x08 line again and again because that’s the only argument they got. And no, I don’t think “most time he ignores you except when he’s drunk” can somehow lead to martial rape. It’s clearly an open-to-interpretation statement)
BUT in 2x08 Aemond dragged Helaena in a violent way to FORCE her into dragon battles which is highly dangerous just because he felt insulted and powerless. Aegon definitely was not a role model husband but Aemond was clearly a monstrous sibling. Some have the nerve to say he was gentle and try to comfort Helaena? Are you joking? Stop ignore facts and invent things.
And, stop saying Aemond is poor and vulnerable for holding tears. He literally just burned HUNDREDS OF LIVES, women and children in villages at Sharpoint. He deserved these words said by Helaena and to know his final pathetic ending.
