I think it's pretty clear that Mike can't have a healthy relationship with both El and Will at the same time, the boy's gonna have to either choose between them or at least be platonic with both of them... but that would be weird, cause they've made it seem like Will's barriers to being with mike revolve solely around El's relationship with him, so if they break up... narratively the writers wouldn't have anything in store to stop Mike and Will from getting together.

(And we know it would be weird for Mike to choose El due to the fact that she seems to be holding a grudge against him, and he didn't seem to mind too much, AND the only reason Mike and El's relationship has ever had ANY hope has pretty much always been because of Will, from the day his disappearance led Mike to finding her so....)

They haven't set up a Mike Wheeler that is okay with not being in a relationship with El but still confident and comfortable enough with his "straight" sexuality enough to reject Will but keep him as only a friend... just doesn't make sense...

If only will and mike knew the reason they were acting so weird, distant, and awkard, was solely because of each other. It doesn't really have to do with much else other than their fear of losing each other. As a result they're kind of losing sight of themselves, too...

I guess they're still going crazy together. Together, but separately at the same time. Crazy because of each other.

The problem is they're forgetting just how similar they are.
