Mostly confused

I'm definitely a mess, but I do get things done. Lived at least 21 years. Expect a bit of everything here. Not too active, uni's attempting to tear my head off. p.s. I'm broke, if you send a personal message asking for money it's a block on sight.

Tasmanian Giant Crab (Pseudocarcinus gigas)

Animal Of The Day!

(Photo in Public Domain)

Conservation Status- Unlisted

Habitat- Coastal Southern Australia

Size (Weight/Length)- 17 kg; 46 cm width

Diet- Carrion; Crustaceans; Starfish

Cool Facts- Being one of the heaviest species of crab, the Tasmanian giant crab is the apex of its environment. These crabs live a slow life due to their size. They eat as many bottom dwellers as they can, helping to build up their extremely thick carapace. Despite being relatively slow, they can slam their giant claws with enough force to crack open mussels and other crabs. Once every nine years, Tasmanian giant crabs molt their carapace and can be threatened by large species of sharks and seals. People see the crabs as a delicacy, but their harvest is carefully regulated and only specific sizes can be gathered.  When a crab has enough strength to snip off a finger like a carrot, I salute anyone who gets within pinching distance.

Rating- 12/10 (Carcinization at its finest.)

Hello, students!

Are you ready for another mini lesson? Today in class we will learn about something that doesn't exactly pertain to magic, but something that may help you understand yourselves better. It can also somewhat explain your wild magic to an extent. We shall learn about the origin and making of Souls. Not many know how souls are born, but I do!

Hello, Students!

Souls are made most often through powerful events, be it calm or calamity. I have cast a powerful spell on you all so you may determine where your soul had come from and-

Well...I believe these aren't permanent. The last batch of mishaps have mostly passed. Moving on,

There are many ways to tell how your soul was made, and sometimes even exactly where it was made! I am going to use a personal favorite of mine, though. I have cast a spell over every student here! Sometime in the future a bug will be attracted to you. If you see a certain bug nearby, go to the guide below, for they know your origin.

-----

Apterygota - Your soul was made from something powerful in the Between. The Between is the realm of Monsters. Magic from these realms are wild and unpredictable. Your wild magic may reflect that.

Palaeoptera - Your soul was made from a catastrophic weather event. Magic from storms are overwhelming and strong.

Polyneoptera - Your soul was slowly made over time in the deep wilderness. Magic from nature is scary and beautiful.

Paraneoptera - Your soul was made from someone else's death. Magic from impactful deaths are elusive and perplexing.

Endopterygota - Your soul was made from deep space. Magic from the outer planes are unbounded.

-----

So keep a close eye out for any insect! It just might tell you something about yourself...

And I Beheld A Great Ram,

“And I beheld a great Ram,

and the horns of him were crowned with Sol, and with Tau. And upon his tongue, the Zariman flame. And the mighty demon of the Void cowered before him. And he feared it not."

Good Climate News: Headline Roundup April 1st through April 15th, 2023

Contrary to what you might expect, there's actually way more good climate news stories than I have time to post about individually. (Especially now that my health is better and I'm back to working more!) Which itself is fantastic news!

Some stories are big, some are small, but they all add up. All over the world, people are doing far more than we realize to help save the planet - and ourselves.

I'm posting this is mid-May bc I've gotten really behind on news posts, but trust me, there will be more roundups coming. And this is SO FAR from all the good climate news in April 2023. I may do weekly roundups in the future.

So, without further ado, some reasons to have hope, all from just April of 2023:

Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. That one about the witch who would marry anyone who could get her house key from her cat and it’s revealed she IS the cat after the narrator befriends the cat.
