At the age of sixteen Shinichiro tried his first cigarette. He took it from Takeomi who already had the cancer stick between his lips. It was disgusting, he started coughing and tried to spit out the taste as much as possible. And when it didn’t work he tried chewing gum which Benkei forced into his palm. He bought a can of soda from a near by corner shop and stole a lolly pop from Wakasa. His friends laughed at him and Shinichiro swore to himself that he’d never smoke again.

“That’s good.” You smile at him as he sat in your bedroom after sneaking in through the window. “I hate cigarettes. They smell bad and I wouldn’t kiss you if you smoked.”

At the age of seventeen Shinichiro took his second cigarette, thinking things would be different. He stole it from Takeomi. He always had a pack of red Marlboro’s in his gang jacket. And since he accidentally left it in Shin’s room, he decided to try again. This time alone in the comfort of his own room. It was still disgusting. Shinichiro started coughing again and took a glass of apple juice that he already had prepared for himself. Though at that moment he decided to try and smoke the whole stick. Even if it meant he’d feel like vomiting.

“It looks cool.” He murmurs to himself. “I wanna be as cool as them.”

At the age of eighteen Shinichiro had a hidden pack of cigarettes in his room. He didn’t want you to know about him smoking. He thought you didn’t need to know. After all it was nothing serious. He only smoked once every couple of weeks, to look cool around the guys. He knew you hated everything about cigarettes. From the smell that lingered around people that smoked them to the fact that they killed people. “Anything can kill us.” Shinichiro once told you and you just shook your head telling him that he wouldn’t understand. And he remembered your threat about you not kissing him. So he decided to just keep this information to himself. After all what you don’t know won’t hurt you.

“Yeah I usually smoke in the mornings, outside my room.” He smirks at Benkei.

At the age of nineteen Shinichiro couldn’t hide the fact that he smoked anymore. The smell was always with him whenever he came over to visit you. It was stuck on his dirty white shirt, it was stuck in his hair, it was stuck on his hand and it was especially stuck on his lips and tongue when he kissed you. You pushed him off of you and made a disgusted face. “It’s gross. I don’t want to kiss you after you just smoked.” You sat further away from him and looked at the posters decorating your room. Shinichiro felt his heart break after you moved away from him after breaking your kiss off.

“I’m sorry. I promise I’ll quit.” He says before laying down.

At the age of twenty Shinichiro only smoked when he worked on bikes. Which was around once a week. You grew accustomed to the smell. Well slightly. You still weren’t a big fan and Shinichiro respected that. And you respected him by not being controlling and letting him do what he wants. The only rule was to not smoke before meeting you and while he was with you.

Mikey sat beside his brother watching him work with a big smile. “One day I’ll be just like you, Shin.”

At the age of twenty one Shinichiro smoked cigarettes way more often. He was stressed. He disbanded the Black Dragon and opened up his new bike shop. Of course it all went well, but he didn’t know when to stop. He overworked himself and spent almost all of his days there. You came to visit him some days when you had free time, but you had been busy working as well. After all the two of you wanted to start renting out a place together and you needed the money. You stoped bugging Shin about the smell of cigarettes and kissed him even after he smoked. The two of you were always working and you tried to cherish every minute you could be together.

At the age of twenty two you had already been living together. Everything was going great and the two of you couldn’t be happier. Shinichiro was living the life of his dreams with you by his side and he knew it was time for more. It was time to take the next step. He decided to buy you a ring and propose. With the help of his closest friends Wakasa, Takeomi and Benkei he found the perfect ring and they planned a perfect proposal. He swore he could feel his heart explode with excitement. You will finally become a Sano.

At the age of twenty three Shinichiro lost his life. It was tragedy which no one expected. And the fact that it was caused by his younger brother’s friends made the situation way more heartbreaking. A jacket which always hung in his shop, was given to you by his grandfather. And in the pocked you found something that you probably shouldn’t have.

You attended his funeral dressed in all black and with an engagement ring on your finger. “You’re Shinichiro’s girlfriend/boyfriend/partner right?” A guy asked. He was a member of the Black Dragon before it disbanded and you only met him once before. “No. I’m his fiancé.”

At the age of twenty four you became addicted to cigarettes, because only they brought you comfort. The smell reminded you of your dead lover and that was enough for now. You smoked when you were out with Shinichiro’s and now your friends, you smoked in restaurants, you smoked in parks, you smoked inside your own home. Whenever you needed to feel Shinichiro’s presence, you took out a lighter and a pack of cigarettes out of the jacket that was given to you after his death.

Haitani Rindou/the hot quiet guy

♡We all (ok maybe not all but still) knew/know a guy like that in high school. He was always so quiet, but had the best facial expressions and also sometimes had arguments with the teachers or other students. He’s smart and is probably into history and chemistry.

♡A lot of people thought he was hot and tried to get a date with him, but failed. There were rumours that he was asexual, aromantic. Some people thought that he might have a significant other that goes to another school.

♡But he was actually just into you and didn’t know how to confess. You were this artsy person who wasn’t dumb, but wasn’t the smartest either. Rindou always thought you were cute and you two actually sat together in some classes. That’s how he got to know you.

♡After he confessed and you two started dating, EVERYONE was talking about it. It was a surprise that someone managed to date with the younger Haitani. People would turn heads to look at you two when you’d enter the school halls together, holding each other’s hands.

♡Rindou’s a sweetheart. He cares a lot about you and your happiness is his number one priority.

♡But his jokes are really funny. Probably says them during the lesson and the whole class just starts laughing while the teacher is turning red from all of the anger.

♡The two of you are the funniest couple in school that everyone loves, but also are jealous of. Gossips about you can always be heard.

♡You two always argue, but mostly in a joking manner. Like your whole relationship is so funny, but most people don’t realise that you two are joking. And that’s when the “I think they broke up.” or “They actually hate each other. I don’t even know why they were dating.” rumours begin.

♡Literally never shuts up. Rarely shows up too. And if he does he spends most of his time in detentions. How is he not expelled yet?

♡Most people find him extremely annoying. He always boasts about his achievements and lies a lot too. Is his story real? Is it fake? You will never know.

♡When you two started dating everyone was shocked.

♡The sweetest person in school dating that asshole? No way. They thought he forced you into a relationship with him and asked if you are ok.

♡You actually found him funny and loved listening to everything he had to say. He never lied to you.

Wakasa Imaushi/hottest guy in school

♡Everyone knows how good looking he is. Those eyes that enchant people, that smirk that makes the girls and guys go crazy, his smooth voice and that fluffy blonde hair. He was basically perfect and he himself knew that.

♡He used his looks to get whatever he wants. He got candy from the people that liked him, they brought him lunch, they did his homework. He was an asshole, but he was smart.

♡He never really liked anyone, but you caught his eye.

“Whats up” Inui walks into the room with two cans of (your favourite soda). “You look.. like you’re really going through it. All gloomy and shit.”

You don’t know when exactly the two of you became close friends. It just happened on it’s own. Though you don’t really question about it, content with being so close to the blonde.

You like to call your friendship fate, since the two of you hated each other’s guts before Mikey disbanded Toman and broke you heart. After that Inui felt pity towards you and somehow managed to earn a spot in your heart. But Inui hates the though of that. You didn’t know why for the longest time and thought it was another one of his dumb theories. But once he was extremely drunk and called you, because he felt lonely and wantd to talk. He confessed that if the fate theory was real it meant that his sister’s fate was to die. And he thinks it’s bullshit. She still had years and years ahead of her. After that you stopped even saying the word “fate” in front of him. You didn’t know it, but it truly meant a lot to him. It meant that you listened to what he had to say and actually cared about his feelings. He doesn’t remember the last time someone did that to him.

“Nothin’” a soft murmur left your lips. “Just thinking.” You scratch your head and sigh. Your head was placed on your palm as you leaned on the kitchen table. Inupi and you decided to move in together in an apartment near the bike shop that he ran with Draken.

“You can talk with me about it y’know.” He tilts his head to the side and puts down one can near you. “I’ll always listen to you. And maybe give some advice. Though I can’t promise it’ll be good advice.”

“Sometimes I still think about him.” You close your eyes for a second and his face flashes in your mind. It was as clear as day. His blonde hair and dark brown, almost black, eyes. And that childish smiles of his. “And it really hurts. All of the good memories we had together.. I know he’s not the same person that he was. And sometimes I wish that I never even met him that day. I wish I had stayed in my room. But instead I just had to go to the corner store to buy some snacks. That’s where I met him..” you rub your eyes. “But I know if I ever had the chance I would do it all over again. I really miss him. I miss the old Mikey.”

You felt a palm touch your shoulder and as you look up Inui stood before you, looking at you with soft apologetic eyes. It was a bit awkward talking about your ex to the guy that you knew had a crush on you. It was obvious to you and everyone else. But deep down you knew you still need time to move on from Mikey. Even if three years have passed, it was still not enough. Just the sound of Mikey’s name made your stomach turn. That itself was a sign that you’re just not ready for new relationships yet.

“You deserve better, (Y/N). I hope you know that.” He takes a deep breath and you can see that he’s trying to form a sentence in his head that will have the best approach to this situation. “Right now you’re living in the past. You have been for three years. You can’t keep doing that. You need to focus on right now and on the future. I know you miss him. But he’s not going to change. The Mikey you knew has been gone for a while. And as much as it hurts you need to move on and create a better future for yourself.” His body’s tense and he doesn’t know if this was the right choice. Kokonoi would always comment about how he’s too blunt and Inui never really cared about it. But now he wishes he could just keep his mouth shut.

“I know, Inui.” You slightly pout, deep in thought. “Hey. Can I be a little selfish and ask you something?”

“Of course.” He smiles at you, now relaxed.

“Can you wait for me?”

“(Y/N). I’ll always wait for you. No matter how long it takes. I’ll wait.”

Shion Madarame x gn!reader. Kinda angsty? Relationship problems, but it’s all good in the end:) this is really short like 530 words. I’ve been having the worst writers block. Also idk if this really matters but this is Kanto Manji Gang Shion so the both of you are like 21 and have been together since 16

Shion has me in a chokehold

“You always do this shit, Madarame!” Your fist meets the table that he was leaning on. “I just can’t take it anymore.” You quickly turn around and start walking towards the room that held many memories you shared together. “Every day. Every fucking day you piss me off more and more! I try my best to keep this whole relationship going and you don’t give a shit!”

Shion just stares at you. No emotion on his face. It was out of character, he always stood with a proud smirk and his head held high. Shion didn’t remember the last time he felt, like he was feeling right now. He wasn’t the best at showing his true emotions, he had to build up this wall to make him look stronger than he actually was. There was a pang in his chest and he let out a sigh. “Babe, can we just talk this out?”

“No.” Your answer was quick. “I’ve tried to talk with you about this. You just never listened. That’s your fault and not mine.” You opened the closet and started to put your clothes into an old backpack that you forgot at Shion’s apartment when you were teenagers. “For years I have been putting up with your bullshit. I waited for you when you were in juvie. Multiple fucking times! I waited for you when you were out for days with your gang, not answering your phone. We’ve been together since we were sixteen, Madarame. We’re both twenty one now and nothing’s changed!”

You feel two lean but strong arms snake around your waist. His breath tickled your neck. “I’m sorry. I’m trying. I really am. I don’t say this enough and I’m sorry. But you mean so much to me. I’ve never felt this way towards anyone. You think I would’ve stayed with you for so long if you didn’t matter to me?” He takes in a deep breath. “I know it’s hard for you. I’m a delinquent and my path has already been made. I have no bright future. And if you truly want to leave, I won’t stop you. You deserve the world and I can’t give it to you. But I do try to give you as much as I can.”

You felt a few tears go down your cheeks and you quickly wipe them off with the sleeves of the sweater you were wearing. There was a lump forming in your throat and you didn’t know what to think anymore. You knew this relationship would never be easy. There would be hard days or weeks, sometimes even months. But could you really leave the guy you’ve been in love with for years? You two would talk about your future together ever since you both turned eighteen. The bag you were holding slipped out of your hands and hit the floor.

“I can’t. No, I won’t leave you.” You turn around and fall into Shion’s arms. “I’m sorry.” More tears left your eyes and you snuggled into his chest. His arms had a strong grip around you. He was scared if he let go, you would disappear into thin air.

“I really hope you won’t.”
