/rp i find it super interesting that the way sam acted (tone of voice, inflection, ruthlessness, etc) after ponk took the keycards was nearly IDENTICAL to how he acted when he thought ponk killed fran months ago. i think it goes to show just how important his mission as the warden has become to him- that a threat to the prison can send him into that same state of emotional numbness

but also, these parallels show how far sam has fallen. when he thought ponk killed fran, sam said he killed bebbles but later revealed he actually didn’t, and sam also couldn’t bring himself to light the tnt he placed on lemon city. a stark contrast to how he’s actually able to follow through on his threats in the present day
