It's so disturbing to look back and see how many stuff wouldn't be so bad with someone who share the same likes, or just enjoying stuff that makes you happy.
And It's so sad to see that, carrying on today. Those are likes, and no "childish stuff" you shouldn't enjoy anymore.
Maybe you don't share it everywhere or with everyone, but YOU ARE ALLOWED TO ENJOY IT!
I'm a young adult, and you know what, I have some Christmas sheep that I decided to no pack up again this year, and I put them on my desk. I then to play with them, rearrange them, or just keep the standing at the side of my monitor.
And I'm waiting to have some spare money and a chance to buy a bunch of googly eyes yo put everywhere I go/work/live!
Dedicate a place (even if just a folder in your phone or PC) to have things you enjoy. And keep building up on that, because that means you have some place to seek for happiness, a place for enjoyment, a place for self validation.
AND THAT IT'S FREAKING IMPORTANT!
You don't have to expend hundred dollars to have it. You just have to allow yourself <3
being an adult means we can buy or make as much self-indulgent shit (as we can afford) and unironically have trinkets of our fave things cause our teen years was bullied for liking things and hiding/denying we were ever neurodivergent to the point of suicide. sucks for anyone that thinks its weird cringe but I'm going to try and allow myself to love myself in little ways now
