Ok so this was harder than it felt. It really required you to win at least half your games consecutively which in concept seems easy but two big issues with that based on the premise that you are at your average rank:

This incentive is drawing a lot more people who might be a higher rank but haven't placed in comp in a while. It also means the reverse in having someone who might have placed highly in a previous season but hasn't played comp lately for whatever reason. So the match quality is spotty.... at best during peak hours.

Even in a vacuum a 50% win rate is not always averaged consecutively. When you flip a coin 100 times you could have heads 20 times in a row. In this incentive a winning streak will have you blow past ranks. A losing streak or losing more than once after a loss will result is resetting progress. So with the implementation of earning 10x your percentage of increased rank progress and only losing 5% on a loss it created this idea that even conceptionally is flawed.

Now, this is all free rewards and I really loved that they did this honestly. It gives more incentive to play RANK! The current incentives are self improvement and points that can change the cosmetics of one character's weapon. That is nothing. Crumbs, if you may. This also surely was a success because my queue times were so low I had matches within 2-3 minutes. I also applaud the design of having checkpoints that you can't lose drive points below once you reached. It really pushes you to keep on queueing.

Each tier has a reward for getting to. Generally a good drive would put you up 2.5 divisions in a rank. Or... you could just waffle for 40 games.

Honeslty I would like to see more of this, including maybe animated sprays for seasons again? please? pleaaaaase?
