I felt like Brockton Bay Book Club really went downhill after Kat and Taylor left. The whole appeal of these kind of read through podcasts is seeing how the new person is going to react to different parts of the story and what their thoughts will be on it. But now that they've left its just a bunch of worm fans with takes that are less interesting then We've Got Worm and only occasionally funny.

And just to be clear, writing dissertations at me justifying why he should instead be a conventionally attractive twink will involuntarily cause me to draw him with even fewer teeth.
Dreading the Covered in Worms episode where I have to hear James says " Glasstig Winyay"
All this arguing about how Marquis should be pronounced, meanwhile I'm forced to constantly hear Parahumans podcasts mispronounce Hebrew letters.
Oh? What's that, tensions are high with Earth CHEAT? What does CHITE want? It's too bad the sealed off Earth UH-LEFF, we could use their help!
my best friend told me people would enjoy seeing this picture I drew of my favorite poor little rich girl with a gun so I got a tumber
Okay, Dissecting Worm bad as usual, it would be an uphill battle to try and explain the issues with their ideas (hey, Calvert and Piggot aren't friends, that's nowhere in the text, Calvert isn't a Jafar type evil advisor, the specifics of his plan and their practical function and consequences are important and what this whole storyline revolves around so you can't just call them dumb and replace them with something with dramatic flair but no practical thought put in, the whole mess with delaying both Coil & Dinah's original reveal and his death, more delayed revelations that serve no purpose outside the original context, not understanding Lisa's arc and replacing it with something different, Taylor's motive for saving Dinah is irrational but it IS coherent and important, blah blah blah) because I am no longer convinced I could get a single fucking point across.
But here's a thought I'd float if I was suggesting new scenes for a TV show.
on the episode where Taylor executes Coil, you lead up to that by extending past the ending of the Nilbog interlude to show Coil buying his powers and his rise as a supervillain. If the timing is set up so the ep starts with the mayoral debate, it's interspersed across the episode so Taylor learns who he is after his character is expanded a bit but before the reveal, or if it starts with Taylor in the burning building then it's all one long segment to start the episode. The key would be connecting the dots a bit and showing how Nilbog crystalized his lust for power, and the desire to be so powerful that Calvert gets his own little kingdom too. I guess that's already textual, but it doesn't hurt to spell out, and show us his life before we get to his death.
