I like to think that whenever Sonic drops a terrible pickup line, Omega gives him the most literal (and sometimes morbid) answer possible.

Back when Ryestar was a freshly-made deputy by the name of Ryerush, he was a nervous wreck. This is his first gathering in his new position and needless to say he is overwhelmed.

Turtlestar (then Turtlebreeze), on the other hand, is basically a chill stoner in cat form. She finds this little dude amusing, though she’s surprised that Barkstar didn’t pick Oakclaw instead since he’s more in line with her ideologies.

When you’re just chilling with your bro and you guys find some trash on the ground and name your brother after the trash because you know how to read

Also here’s the script I wrote up for this so I wouldn’t forget when I finally got around to drawing this. There’s a few small changes for the sake of fitting stuff in panels.

"You can read Twoleg language, Rookfrost. What does it say?" Rookfrost looks at the trash, silent for a moment. "It says Minecraft." He lifts a paw to the character on the packaging, then gestures to the gold tabby's coat. " This thing looks like some of your markings, brother." "Oh, maybe that can be my warrior name! Minecraft--something." "Well you're too young to be a warrior, maybe an apprentice. They're called paw. " Rookfrost stretches out a paw to emphasize his words. " So you'd be Minecraftpaw." "Minecraftpaw, Minecraftpaw!" the young tom cheers.

I did this partly because I felt like Brackenkit’s design needed a little something more, and also to drop a tiny bit of C&Q lore. 

There is a story in Quarryclan that is simply referred to as Barkstar’s Curse. Brackenkit hears this story and is immediately curious. She wants to see if there are ghosts in the woods and drags her siblings along. They sneak out, though are thankfully found and brought back quickly. Hallowkit swears she saw a ghost and is mortified. When she is apprenticed and it seems like it's not going to work, it is found out that she has headache-inducing visions that increase in strength the farther she goes from camp. She is offered to be a medicine cat apprentice by Mallowcloud, who relates with her anxieties and similarly acquired his ability after a dangerous experience. As she grows into her position, she finds that she can also commune with spirits, and later foresees Emberdusk’s death.

“Looks like we’re going to be getting quite the snowstorm across the--”

A: “Yeah, no shit.”

S: “One could tell just by looking outside.”

I woke up ridiculously early to my bunny noisily chewing on cardboard like usual, looked out the window since it was lookin’ pretty pale outside, and uh... yeah. The snow from before had just started to melt yesterday too.
