Technically they sell suppressors - chemical compounds that suppress superpowers, but that's details.
Angeline/Big woman
Indeed big (approx 192 cm height), indeed woman. Born in 2000, in Dolgoprudny (town in Moscow suburbs). Grew up with grandmother that was invested in her childhood a lot. Attended all kinds of classes and had over 50 hobbies in her 20s, so she's better than average person in most things, but didn't master anything. Currently is invested in business management, kickboxing and developing her superpower - pocket dimension. Dyes her hair in all colors she finds nice, collects stuff in pocket dimension, survives apple-apocalypsis every summer.

Metalhead dude with hyperactivity in one pocket and hyperempathy in another. Born in 2002 in Altufyevo (Moscow district) in police family (father, aunt, grandfather and two older brothers are in police). Hates police, went to nurse school (medical college), worked in hospitals very little. Has no superpowers, but out of compassion to people started helping troubled superpowered people and others. Has undiagnosed, untreated and violently denied ADHD. Climbs on anything he reaches, prefers gothic/doom metal, sprints books at overwhelming speed
Maxim (Max) Chernikov / Coolant
Ice dude, born in 2005 in Kotelniki (Moscow suburb town). Lacking exceptional talents and passions in life, besides extremely strong triad of ice powers: thermokinesis, low temperature water telekinesis and low temperature resistance. Attentive to details (not in perfectionist way, but notices thing people usually brush off). For lack of passion in life before superpowers now invests a lot in power development and suppression skills. Wears clothes inappropriate to weather, his superpowers made him photosensitive and gave him migraines, can't stop lying even if there is no reason to do that

Young grumpy accountant. Born in 2002. Reserved and closed to most people around her. Suppressive firm was her first real accounting job and she took it very seriously. Later her work goes from accounting to supply management. Most of time avoids superpowered shenanigans, but when faced with superpowered threat can, surprisingly for herself, protect herself with very violent methods. Doesn't like men, loves bread and hates crying, probably most sane/grounded character here
Superpowers and laws
Laws and regulations on superpowers began to emerge very lately. As most of loud cases of superpower manifestations happened in 2021, that year was signed as superpower crisis year. Governments of all countries had to deal with new challenges and Russia was not exception.
First years (2021-2023) there was basically legal vacuum. That was double edged sword for superpowered people. On one side if supe commits crime police and special forces are very unlikely to do anything with that (because who wants to risk their lives over some guy who idk explodes everything on sight). On the other side if supe is injured it's very unlikely for them to get help from ambulance, because it's very risky to put wounded (= more dangerous) supe in ambulance and hospital.
This was fertile ground for many phenomena to arise: suppressors, superheroes, superpower alliances, pseudo-cults abd other grey support networks, due to lack of government involvement [this is not statement that all of them are good or bad, it's just what happens - when government is weak/not involved people organise themselves, it's not moral issue]
Laws shifted a lot from very liberal to something that feels like invisible leash on your neck. I use as reference mostly gun control, lgbt propaganda laws, disability laws in russian context.
Must admit I use "propaganda" laws as reference a lot, because those are laws that affect my life in very distressing way and it's not something that is exclusive artifact of post 24/02/22 Russia like discredit laws.
So what is suppression?
Basically when person with superpowers has little control of superpowers or it gives them discomfort the solution is suppression. Usually suppression is quiet process, people take suppressive pills, or take power management coaching to manage their new abilities, so they don't interfere with their lifes. And initially the idea was to help people.
First Michael's encounter with need for suppressing powers happened when he saw man in alcohol delirium, who was about to destroy door to his flat with his superpowers, to reach his scared family.
Other cases were when children or teenagers had little of control of their new power and hurt their caregivers but can't stop because powers are emotion-dependent
And some times superpowered people use their powers for malicious purposes.
In familiar cases there is a need to suppress and possibly immobilize superpowered person and then start doing anything to help them with superpowers management or start penitentiarial conversation. That's how they got to suppressive combat.
Different characters share different views on this duality of suppressors, healers on one side, fighters on another. Some of them take only one role, some take both. Michael regrets about existing of combat part, but sees it as necessary evil. Valerie sympathises to both sides, but prefers investing in force part (which causes actual imbalance and higher development of the latter). Angeline is more invested in pharmaceutical side of suppressive business (healing prevails over force solutions).
Main instruments for suppression are mostly suppressive drugs. Suppressive devises exist in this universe, but used less among suppressors, and those that are used are mostly very simple and resemble crowd control devices.
I have no more mental strength for writing, but I can't stop giggling over the fact that one of my characters is a damn Prigozhin in dress (not literally)
