I Hate That The Most Popular Aroace Character Right Now Is Half Of The Time Being Shipped Romantically/sexually

I hate that the most popular aroace character right now is half of the time being shipped romantically/sexually with other characters. yes! It is a spectrum, there are aroace folk who feel romantic/sexual attraction, but you have Mainly Non Aroaces making the content, which feels a bit ehhh.

The block button does exist, feel free to use it if I upset you with biology and my anti-self mutilation stance.

As I said, this is not about you, this is about the audience. I do not share your view about seeing surgery as « self-mutilation », and don’t want people who might see this to think that it’s a bad thing or be ashamed of themselves when they don’t have to.

Also my grandfather died of cancer and my father had one, and my other grandfather has one at the moment, so I think I know a bit about it and it don’t just « regulates itself ». Cancer kills.

Today I come with a question, and it’s genuine so please don’t come with hate here.

I’m white and still young, and I don’t really understand the concept of « blackface », and I want to be informed about it to avoid accidentally doing or saying something offensive.

I have some bases, like it was white people blackening their faces to mock poc, but I don’t quite understand some things and have questions, like what is considered a blackface ? Does makeup counts ? I think it does, but if you want for example to cosplay a tan character if you’re white and want to be accurate, is it disrespectful to darken your skin in purpose of cosplay ? Is whitening your skin if you’re black the same or is it not disrespectful ?

Again, please keep in mind that I’m young and don’t experience racism due to being white (I’m privileged in this sense, I guess) so please don’t hate on me, my questions are genuine ;-;’
