Writing tip no. 3

 When writing prose, don't have characters just say things. Have them do things once in a while while speaking to make the prose more interesting. Trust me, you will get tired of constantly looking up synonyms for "said" and "replied" in a thesaurus. 

 To demonstrate what I mean, which passage is more interesting to read?

 "Hello, John," Mary said. 

"Good morning, Mary," John replied. 

"How are you doing today?" "Good," she stated. 

 Or 

"Hello, John," Mary shuffled her papers and set them on her desk. 

"Good morning, Mary," John closed the office door behind him. "How are you doing today?" "Good," she said taking out a pen.

Writing tip no. 2

When talking about your work with other people, don't insult your work, by saying things like: "Oh my work is trash." or "I hate my writing." Not only will it make you feel bad, it will make people in your writing group who look up to you feel like crap as well. You wouldn't say this to a younger writer, so why are you saying this to yourself?

High Guardian Spice is Weird

So much of High Guardian Spice is written like a children’s show, but blood and swearing is just sprinkled in. I think the intention was to make the show seem more mature, and try to appeal to the anime crowd, but that ended up failing.

I WOULD KILL for a director’s commentary on this series. Because this show screams troubled production. The blatantly photobashed backgrounds, are a very obvious indicator of that
