You interduce quest to your bestfriend. Quest ends up drunk and pouty jealous, and you treasure him

A/N: I just wanted to write a jealous fic that wasn't angry, and wasn't explained away by " my friend is gay/straight" or" they like someone else" . and I thought about pouty jealous quest and I really want to share it.

You had an amazing night, you were able to see your childhood best friend after at least a year of separation. Not only that but they finally meet your boyfriend, both important people in your life, finally interacting. Your friend shared plenty of embarrassing stories while Quest laughed and shared the habits you hadn't grown out of. The three of you partied hard, you realized quickly that you would have to be the responsible one and cut yourself off after a while. Quest got drunk fast, he always made you blush and laugh when he got even the smallest amount of liquid courage, but you were able to get him to stop drinking alcohol and let him start the healing process with multiple cups of water. Your friend, on the other hand, got wasted, never stopping. By the end of the night, you had to drag them back to where they were staying, with another friend. Already 1 am when you knocked on the door. Awkwardly explaining that they would need special care to make sure nothing happened while they were this wasted.

“Nooooooooo, I don't, no end wanna stay with you!”

You laughed as your friend latched onto you, you missed the huff and pout that came from your boyfriend as you tried to detach your friend from yourself.

“Okaayyy, jus-goodbye kiss.”

You let them give you a slobbery drunk cheek kiss, making them surrender and willing to switch from you to their friend.

“I'm so sorry to dump this on you, but it’s late-”

“No need to apologize, I get it, they've been so excited to meet up with you, surprised they can still talk. Now go home, I know you need sleep after the night you had.” And they were right. So you and Quest made your way home, he was still pretty tips so you held his hand the whole way home.

Now in bed, resting his head on your chest as you stroke his hair, trying to get him to fall asleep. You speak softly as you find things to talk about.

“Did you like them?”

You feel Quest squeeze your body, you feel his mouth move and the vibration of words, but all you hear is a grumble of words.

“He's- okay.”

You pick up on all the signs, you feel disappointed at Quest's response.

“What didn't you like? It’s- fine, I guess. But-”

“They are too touchy.”

“What?”

“They hug you and lift you and kiss you too much as if they're dating you.”

You laugh at the way he sounds like a grumpy child.

“Not funny, they trying to steal you, and you going to go with them and br-”

“Shhhh baby, look at me.”

Quest releases you a little as he lifts up and looks at you, you see the pout on his tipsy face

“They don't like me like that, we're just friends.”

You see Quest's face shift to protest but you stop him.

“And if they do like me it won't matter because I'm with you, I like you, I love you, okay?”

You stare at Quest with an almost threatening gaze until he nods and lays back down on your chest. You resume petting his head until you both fall asleep.

When you wake up you realize Quest isn't next to you, but seconds later the bedroom door opens, Quest has a tray of food for you, you question how he's not hungover but let it slide as he sets the tray over you while kissing you cheek.

“I'm sorry about last night, I know you aren't like that and I doubt they are, and I feel embarrassed for being a jealous idiot. I do like your friend, I'm sorry for letting my insecurities cloud my judgment.”

“It's fine baby, I get it. Now please join me, and tell me your hangover remedy. I've never seen you hungover but I've seen you drunk multiple times.”
