Hi! I'm trying to write an enemies to lover slowburn, but I don't know how to start it...I have written the middle parts, the jucier parts👀 Can you give me some tips on how to start it? Aso, if you don't mind, do you have any tips on writing enemies to lovers👉👈 Thanks a lot in advance!

Oh, I love me some good enemies to lover trope. But there is some things you have to be careful with, so I start with a little reminder what not to do and then go into what to do and even though you didn’t really ask for it, I thought of some prompts while writing this answer.
How to write enemies to lovers
stay away from non-consensual
they are enemies and will likely be awful to each other in the beginning
but if you want them to be a happy couple at the end they shouldn’t be abusive to each other
because even if they later get together it will always leave a mark on that relationship
forcing someone to do something is wrong and even if the victim later loves to do it in the relationship, it doesn’t change the fact that they were once forced when they didn’t want to do it
Now that that is established here is how to start with the trope.
Why are they enemies?
how do they know each other?
why do they hate each other?
are they literally at war with each other or are they people who met each other and really didn’t click in the beginning?
give them reason to hate or at least strongly dislike each other
you can give them the same reason for hating each other
or spice it up and make both of them dislike something else about the other person
How can you fix it?
now that you’ve established why they hate it each other you have to find out what needs to be done to fix it
it’s important to find a way to make them both see the other person as a normal human being with their own hopes and problems and not just this unshakeable image of an always bad enemy
maybe they don’t know all the information, maybe it’s a misconception that could be solved by talking
but don’t just make them say those things
let actions speak louder than words
for example character A thinks character B is rude and inconsiderate and only interested in themself - but then A sees B doing something completely selfless
Slowly falling in love
it wouldn’t be enough to see them being selfless to make them completely change their mind and fall in love
but it would make them rethink what they thought about the other one and maybe try to get to know them better, because they realized there is so much more to learn and they maybe judged too soon
a changed behaviour in one character could then trigger the other one into rethinking their bad relationship
finding something that they have in common or that they like about the other one can pave the way for a neutral relationship that then turns into something more
so it rarely goes directly from hate to love, especially because this could be an indicator for rash actions and mood swings towards each other that could be harmful in a relationship
it’s more like hate turning into acceptance and understanding and then slowly to love

Hi I'm gonna go on a completely unsolicited and spontaneous rant:
Lolita IS a love story.
It IS. One hundred percent.
It is a love story, not between a man and a girl, but from a man, about a girl.
It is a love story, but it is not a healthy love story. It should not make you feel warm and fuzzy. It should make you realize that love can mean different things to different people, and sometimes those people have bad intentions.
The concept of love, through Lolita, is purposefully twisted by the author to make his reader feel a sense of unease-- just as Humbert twists Dolores's sense of dependency, desire, and reality.
For example, remember that there exists a range of both positive and negative coping mechanisms in life. Negative coping mechanisms are still coping mechanisms. They WORK, that's why people USE THEM, but they do not work in a POSITIVE OR HEALTHY way. Similarly, not all love stories have to be shining examples of humanity and health to still be considered love stories.
The message and impact of Lolita only work because the story is a love story. That's the whole point.
To say Lolita is not a love story is to disregard any and all subtextual and thematic intention by the author, and therefore whittle the book down to a grossly surface-level, performative understanding. Don't do that.
So for God's sake, don't romanticize Lolita. But acknowledge that it is a love story, and that it is a horrible love story, and that that's what it is meant to be.
A couple of platonic/romantic character prompts I thought of in the middle of the night. Tag me if you're gonna use em. I wanna see what you guys would come up with!!
Character A petting character B on the head, ruffling B's hair a little. Then B looks up A and sees that A has a soft look in their eye and a proud little smile."Good job" A says softly and B can't help but smile a little themself
Character A clicks their toungue softly as they thumb the tears off of B's cute little face. A takes a moment to adore the sight of B'leaning into A's touch as A cups B's face.
The sight makes A feel as if they could take on the whole world all by himself.
It's snowing. Character A, who was born and raised in a tropical country, is so exited to go out and play in the snow for the first time in their life. Character B, who never really liked the snow, decides to accompany A while they play around and take pictures.
'Hey,' B thinks, 'Maybe the snow Isn't as bad as i make it out to be'
Or alternatively:
It's snowing. Character B, who never really liked going out doors, decides they don't wamt to go out today because of the chill. So they prefer to sit down by the fireplace and sip on hot chocolate- maybe even read a book while at it. Character A, who originally wamted to go out and play in the smow, finds Character B relaxing by the fireplace and gets imvited by B to sit amd talk with them.
'Well,' A thinks, 'We could always go out and play some other day' while they listen to Caracter B's stories and adores rhe way the light from the cireplace dances on B's face.
Two friends wake up together in bed one morning after a night out drinking, both completely naked and with matching wedding rings on their ring fingers. Yeah they could have easily gotten a divorse for that accidental wedding they both have no memory of having, but what happens when they both drunkenly signed some kind of contract that only lets them divorse after 10 years after their marraige?
Character A is known as the strict principal of a prestigious private academy that ranks number one in the country. A is known to be the handsome genius who looks like a person who would only listen to classical music.
Character B is an alt burnt out gifted kid with more coca cola in their body than blood. B is known to be funny and really smart and looks like a person that Karens would call a 'satan worshipper'
One day B gets into trouble and is sent up to the principal's (A's) office. A finds out that B had a decent reason for what they did and the horrible house life B has. A says fuck it and takes the kid under their wing amd stands as the parental figure B needs.

their views twisted, but not all lies.. talking about everybody and everything as monsters and dangerous. and they talk about themselves in third person, painting themselves as heroes to their darlings. they’re the only good ones in this.
even better, when the reader doesn’t know they are yanderes. everything seems so wonderful. they’ve rescued their darling from the heinous world. they’re together at last. when, at last, when the darling, who has always been so happy here, who they rescued, finally screams and cries, and tells them they hate them, that they hate it here. screaming pursues and it’s the end.
next thing you know, the ‘hero’ has a corpse and blood on their hands. they panic, unsure of how their darling died. everything that happened after they snapped isnt written, and the entire story is based off their memory.

Daichi sawamura is a priest in a small catholic school at the center of a small town and you are student at said school. Your school is very open to equality and taking care of their students, making sure they're healthy in all aspects. Spiritually, physically, emonally and mentally. They encourage seeking advice and asking help from the teachers.
You've been under father Daichi's wing for as long as you can remember. He's the closest thing to a father figure you have at school. He listens to your stupid rants about your family, your projects and gives his advice when you ask for it. He helps you wih projects you're not sure what to do. He's even there when you just want someone to talk to to get your mind off of things.
Things change when you find yourself falling for the cute boy/girl that sits next to you in maths class. Even more when you tell father Daichi. Much much more when you start dating them.
"It's normal," you try to reason with yourself "of course he'll get a little protective. How long has he known you? It's only natural he wants to take care of the one student who's as close to a daughter/son/kid he'll ever get"
It started from him asking small favours from you that take away from the time you're supposed to be with your significant other. Then it went to making sure you have too much on your schedule to make time for being with them. It didn't work as much as he hoped. But he's not giving up yet.
It's only natural that he wants to take care of you. That motherfucker you're dating would just break your heart. They'd treat you like shit and bring tears to your beautiful eyes when they get bored of you. Daichi would never though, the Lord knows he would never. He'd worship you and say your name like a prayer. Being in bed with you and making love all night long would be a religious experience
He hasn't given up yet. He won't. He never will. No one deserves to even t o u c h an angel like you. No one but the one who took care to watch you bloom and spread your wings. No one but him, who took such good care of you that you grew into such a beautiful angel.
Daily reminder to work and study hard but fuck your bitches harder

The ocean is a terrifying thing. It takes lives while at the same time being a liquid form of life in itself. It has the deepest trenches and the most dangerous animals. It has the most beautiful reefs and the most majestic creatures that burst with color
You always reminded him of the feeling of the ocean. The feeling he has when cool air hits his face, when sand finds itself in between his toes, when he swims deeper and finds a paradise hidden underneath the waves and waves of blue.

With every word that he says, the deeper you are pushed into the the pool of pleasure and haze and fizz that engulfs you, welcoms you, as if it were crafted especially for this.
You look so adorable like this. Completely under his mercy. As if he could grasp at your waters and form them at his wishes. Like obaying his words are the cause of your mind numbing pleasure. But he can't grasp at your waters completely. The ocean is home to a lot of beautiful creatures. The ocean itself is beautiful. He knows that. But as he feels you slowly come back to your senses while marks his territory, he thinks that its not justt the pleasant parts of you he wants to see.

He wants to see the dark parts too. He wants to feel the ranging waves as they crash into each other. He wants to see the darkest deepest parts of you and see what monsters you hide there. What he wants is-
