Chapter 1

She sat there once again leaned on the large window looking how the kids were picked up by their parents from school. A single tear escaped Lilith's hazel eye but she quickly wiped it away. She was six when her mother was tortured to death from her own father right in front of her eyes as she hid under the table in their once cute little living room afraid of what he would do to her if he knew that Lilith was there too and everything because her mother didn't want to be on Voldemort's side. After he murdered Aurora, Lilith's mother, he ran away but that didn't had much use he was caught only a few days later. Her father was sent to Azkaban for lifetime. She didn't really miss him because he never really was nice to her and even used to hit her but Aurora and Lilith were very close in fact Aurora was the only person who got Lilith's full trust. The girl still got nightmares of her mother dying. Every night she saw her mother falling to the ground, her father on top of her, beating and torturing her and hearing her screams. Since Lilith didn't got any other relatives, she had to live in an orphanage and she was sick of it but she didn't want to someone adopting her either, she just wanted her old life back, where she was happy and weren't always alone but that was long ago five years to be exact. Now Lilith is eleven years old and got still no friends. But the reason wasn't that nobody wanted to be friends with her or hang out with her. The reason was that she couldn't trust anyone no matter what they tried Lilith just couldn't be nice. "Lilith!" a voice called out, which startled her out of her thoughts but she didn't respond. "Lilith, here you are! The family, that is interested in you is nearly here." ,'Interested in me, as if I' m some sort of pet ' Lilith thought, "Please be ready in 20 min. and come to my office." Mrs. Jones continued. Lilith rolled her eyes at her and head to her dorm but not without bumping in Mrs. Jones shoulder. When she arrived the girl changed her clothes, drew eyeliner, used red eye shadow and matching red lipstick. After that she brushed her dark blonde hair.

Lastly she put her three piercings in. She got two at the top from her right ear and on at the middle of her left ear. She knew especially Mrs. Jones hates them. The girl took one last look in the mirror in her dorm and head to the office from Mrs. Jones. Lilith didn't bother to knock and just stormed in. Inside was a woman in a cute red dress and a man with blue jeans and a grey shirt. Both of them smiled warmly at her but Lilith didn't smile back. " you must be Lilith, its so great to finally meet you.", the woman said," I'm Nadia and this is my husband Marcus" The girl nodded one time to show she heard them. "Don't you want to introduce yourself?" Mrs. Jones asked hoping for a better conversation than all the last times when somebody was interested in her. " What should I tell them? They should already have known everything they need to know, haven't they?" Lilith said turning to Mrs. Jones. " Um, actually we don't know that much. We only got a picture from you and know what your name and age is." Nadia stated. "I would say that's enough to know." She said coldly. "Oh uh, well-", Marcus started. "why don't you tell them, which languages you can speak?" , Mrs. Jones asked, giving her hopes for a nice conversation up. "English, German, Latin, Spanish, Russian, Italian, french and sign language.", she answered uninterested. "Wow, that are a lot of languages." Marcus said impressed. "Lilith can speak by far the most languages from all of the children." Mrs. Jones said kinda proud. "When did you got all the time to learn so many?", Nadia asked interested. Lilith shrugged "Guess I was just bored. Its not the nicest place to be, you know.", she answered slightly annoyed. "Then you would like to have a new home?", Nadia asked with hope in her voice. "Actually no, I wouldn't like that!" Lilith replied with more anger than she originally planned to use as the faces of the couple fell. "Watch your tone!" Mrs. Jones warned Lilith. "Whatever" Lilith said rolled her eyes, now clearly annoyed. "Could you please go outside for a minute?" Mrs. Jones tried to sound as kind as possible, but Lilith knew, that she is really angry and disappointed in her, like every time when a family had wanted to adopt her. However Lilith walked past them and out of the room. She found herself sitting on a chair next to the door where she often sits after she talked with a family. The girl could hear that Nadia said "I don't know, but it seems like she doesn't like us much." "Don't take it personal she's always like that", Mrs. Jones said hopelessly and Lilith couldn't help but smile at her answer. After that she didn't hear anything for a while. The next thing she could hear was Mrs. Jones as she said "I'm afraid but I have to inform you that Lilith isn't the easiest child. She ran away multiple times and last time she was found like so many times before from the Royal Navy, but she had three piercings in her ears. Nobody knows where she was or what exactly happened, well except of course Lilith but she won't speak about it. Aside from that Lilith isn't good at following rules. She almost breaks everyday at least one and if you couldn't already tell she isn't the politest." Lilith isn't really annoyed that she brought that up but isn't really pleased with it either. "-but Lilith is a really smart girl and she learns fast. She gets in every test 100% and as you heard she can speak many languages.-" Lilith couldn't hear anymore of their conversation as suddenly the door flung open and Mrs. Jones stands in the doorway. "Would you come back in again?" "Do I even have a choice?" Lilith responded but got up anyways she didn't want to mess with her any further. Back in the office Nadia and Marcus were waiting for her once again they smiled again but Lilith saw that they were clearly more nervous, although the girl couldn't tell why exactly. "I'm going to let you talk alone for a bit I'll be in the last room on the right if you need anything." Mrs. Jones explained and walked out of the room letting the three alone.

Summary: Newt accidentally body shamed you and when he tried to comfort you he found out how ticklish you were.

You missed Newt. And that was still an understatement. He travelled to America to set Frank free, and you needed to decline his offer to come with him because of your job. He was now gone for a few months and the only thing you get from him are a few letters and postcards. But you needed him in person. You needed his comforting words especially because you suffer from anorexia. When you first met Newt, you were that underweight that you only had skin and bones on you. He helped you on the path to get healthier again. And on the way you two fell in love with one another.

Truth to be told Newt wasn’t too happy to let you behind because you’re first his girlfriend and second you tend to overthink about what others think of you and your appearance. You still hadn’t managed to get to a healthy weight, and he hoped that you didn’t lose any more again.

As if Missing Newt wasn’t enough, you also had a pretty bad day. First you overslept and came late to work then you realized that you’ve forgotten your wallet so you couldn’t buy yourself something for breakfast and neither for lunch. After that you had an argument with your boss and as a result, he gave you even more work that you had to finish. When you were finished you walked home. Before you could take your wand out and conjure an umbrella it started pouring. Finally at home, you walked past the mirror in the hallway and couldn’t stop yourself to think you’ve gained too much weight over the past months. Sighing you walked in your bedroom to change into a shirt of Newt and a pair of sweatpants and then laid on your bed. You took the letters that from Newt from your nightstand and started reading them all over again like so many times before. Deep in your thoughts you didn’t hear the door opening and closing again. “Hello, Love. “, called an all too familiar voice, that you missed so much. You looked up and saw your boyfriend standing in the doorway with his shy smile. You wasted no time in getting up and throwing your arms around him, which made him chuckle softly. “I missed you!”, you exclaimed happily. Newt replied. “, I missed you too.”, as he wrapped his arms around you and laid his cheek on your head after he placed a kiss to it.  After a while Newt pulled away a little to look at you. “Hey, you’ve gained weight. You loo- “, at that your face dropped immediately and Newt interrupted himself when he saw that. You were aware that you’ve gained weight but hearing it from another person especially from Newt was an entire other thing. You felt tears build up, close to drop. “Hey sweetheart, what’s wrong?”, you just stormed out of your bedroom leaving his question unanswered as tears started to fall. Newt was left to stand there completely confused. He started to think over what he could’ve done wrong. Soon it hit him. Of course you would think he meant, that you would be too thick but that’s definitely not what he meant by what he said. He was trying to say that you looked way better and a lot healthier than he had ever seen you. He quickly got out of the room and called your name, but you didn’t answer. He looked in every room until he heard someone sobbing softly. Quickly he went in that direction to see you hiding behind the kitchen island with your arms around your legs and your head laying on your knees. And the worst you were crying because of him. “(Y/n).” , he sadly called you. You looked up and Newt saw your already red eyes and tears streaming down your cheeks. “Go away, Newt!”, coldness mixed with a little anger overtook your normally sweet and calming voice.

Normally he would now hug you and comfort you at moments like this but now he didn’t know what to do because he was the reason why you were upset. But he finally decided to hug you and comfort you. He slowly came closer like he would with a newfound creature of his. When you didn’t move away, he reached out to you and pulled you into his chest holding you tightly as you started crying even more. He held you like that pressing multiple gentle kisses on your hairline.  “I’m so sorry, (Y/n). You misunderstood me. I didn’t mean you’re gained too much weight. I meant that you look a lot healthier. And I’m so proud of you for that.”, he calmly explained. “Are you sure?”, your broken voice hurt Newt even more. He took his hands and placed them on your shoulders pulling you away slightly, so he can look in your now red puffy eyes. “I really do. I promise. “, he assured as he let his hands wander down at your sides to your waist. What he didn’t expect is that you jumped and squeaked at his touch on your ribs. Although you were dating for quite a while Newt didn’t know that you were really ticklish.

He shortly looked confused, but his expression quickly turned into a smile. As he began tickling you now purposefully making you laugh uncontrollably. „Please, Newt stop. “, you begged between laughter. „Hmm. “, he paused for a bit to let you breathe again, „I don’t think so. I love to hear your laugh too much. “, he confessed as he now attacked your stomach making you toss and turn trying to get out of his grip, but it had no use. „Please, Newt. I can’t anymore. “, you tried again. „Only if you promise to be happy again. “, he negotiated.

„Fine.”

“Promise?”, he asked tickling you one last time on your stomach drawing another laugh from you. “I promise. Just please stop.”

“Alright, I will stop. For now.”, his smile grew at the last part, and he pressed a sweet kiss to your forehead.

You dreamed about Newt chasing you around Hogwarts, Newt soon catched up to you and tackled you to the ground before you even knew what happened he started to tickle you. After he eventually stopped you just laid there and smiled at each other. You snuggled up to him and he laid his arms protectively on you.

You slowly started to wake up to an strong arm stroking your back and to a calming heartbeat. First you thought you were still dreaming but a few seconds later you were sure that your awake and you were also pretty confused, at that moment you didn't remember that you and Newt went in the forest because you just woke up. By that time Newt noticed that you aren't asleep anymore. "Good morning, sleeping beauty" he said in his morning voice. You instantly felt save in his arms, buried your head deeper in his chest and blushed at the nickname he gave you. "Morning" you mumbled tiredly. He smiled at you at how tired but cute you looked. "Hey, don't fall asleep again. Its already 11am" he chuckled. "But you're so comfortable and warm to lay on." You mumbled in his chest with your eyes closed. He smiled at the sight of you and blushed. You laid there for a bit longer. "Come on Y/n, I need to feed the creatures" he whispered as he felt that you're about to doze off again. "Fine" you sighted. He hated that you two had to stand up and missed your warmth immediately as you stand up. You guys fed the creatures that were still there and brought them back to where they belong. Then you separated even though you two both didn't want to. Newt headed to do God knows what and you went to your dorm and get ready for the day. You changed your clothes, brushed your hair, cleaned your teeth and put make up on (if you don't wear make up just ignore the part). The rest of the day you sat in your dorm and drew pictures of Newt and the picnic he made you. You didn't even realise that it was already dinner time. On the way you were stopped by a strong arm grabbing your wrist harshly. You looked up to see a boy you never saw before. "Who are you and what do you want?" you said as you tried to get out of his grab, but he didn't let go. "Not so rude, princess" he said tightened his grab on you. "Let me go, you're hurting me!" you cried out. "Not so fast, beautiful, first I want to have a little bit of fun with you" he commanded. "Stop I don't want that!" you cried. He just chuckled and pressed you against the wall with his arms you tried to get him off of you, but it had no use he was way to strong. Newt heard crying coming from a hallway your crying. "Please let me go" you screamed as tears falling down your cheeks, but he ignored you. You knew that you were getting bruises from his tight grip. He now holds your face to the side so that you stop moving away and attacked your neck. Newt searched everywhere to find you. "Please stop it. I don't want you touching me" you cried and still tried to get away. "Flipendo!" you heard someone calling and the guy flew away. "She doesn't want to be touched from you and I assume that you should stop it and never talk to her ever again if you don't want to get hexed!" he said threatening. The guy rushed annoyed away and you turned around to see Newt standing there with his wand in his hand. You didn't wait longer and ran in his arms and cried in his chest. "Did he hurt you Y/n?" Newt asked calmly even though he really wanted to kill that guy but you needed him and so he did his best to sound as calm as possible. You showed him your wrists, which were already red and a bit purple. He took your hands and kissed them "I'm so-so sorry Y/n" he said with tears in his eyes. As he hugged you tight but makes sure to not hurt you more than you already were. "It's ok, he's gone now. I'm so sorry I wasn't there earlier." He comforted you and rubbed your back. "Do you want to go to your dorm" he asked. "C-can I s-sleep w-with you t-tonight?" you managed to say. "Of course, Y/n" he said happy that you felt comfortable and save enough to sleep in his dorm with him (we're gonna pretend that he has his own dorm and didn't share it with someone). He carefully picked you up bridal style as you put your arms around his neck and buried your head in his chest. He lightly blushed and smiled at your actions and carried you to his dorm. He carefully laid you on his bed and admired you. "Wait I got no pyjama here" you said as still a few tears rolling down your cheeks. "Here" he tossed you a shirt of him. "That should fit you like a dress but if y-you want to I still can give you l some pants of mine" he said. "Newt its ok" you said walking past him into his bathroom and kissed his cheek on the way. He was holding the spot were your lips touched his cheek and turning completely red as you got ready to go to bed. You washed your face, cleaned your teeth, brushed your hair and changed your clothes and Newt was right the shirt really fits you like a dress. You couldn't believe you actually were allowed to wear Newt's shirt and turned around in front of the mirror admiring the shirt you were wearing. Newt put a few more pillows on the bed and made it comfy for you as you walked out of the room. "Wow" he whispered under his breath. You giggled at his reaction. "Did you do this for me" you asked smiling at the bed. "Oh, um yeah. D-do you like it?" he asked looking at you, which surprised you because he never looked at anyone. But you liked that Newt seemed now more comfortable around you. "Of course, I like it how could I not" you said hugging him, he slowly put his arms around you and hugged you back. "Well, do you want to go to bed?" he asked. You nodded against his chest, which made him smile. You go and sit on the bed and saw a blanked and a pillow on the floor. "what's this " you asked pointing to it. "oh, uh I- I just thought since you want to sleep in my dorm t-that you probably d-don't want t-to sleep with me in one b-bed, so I w-will sleep on t-the floor." He said blushing. "Newt, I'm not gonna let you sleep on the floor. W-we could share the bed if that's ok with you." "I-uh, a-are you sure that its ok. I- I really have no proble-" "don't be silly. Come here" you patted the bed next to you. He slowly walks to you. And you both lay down. Newt reached out to turn off the light as you slightly flinched and grab his other wrist out of reflex. "You are still scared, aren't you?" You looked away from him and nod embarrassed. "Y/N, please don't be embarrassed. You have every right to be afraid but I'm here and I will not let anything happen to you." You loosened your grip on his wrist but you still looked scared and Newt noticed that so he pulled you on top of him with your head on his chest so you could hear his steady heartbeat. His one arm rapped around you and with the other he played with your hair and massaged your scalp lightly and you immediately felt safe and were calm. And soon you fell asleep safe in Newts arms.

Now it's completely silent in the office, although it was awkward the girl didn't see the need to break it. She just stared on the wall behind the couple. "So, may I ask why you live here, in an orphanage?", Nadia asked not thinking how much pain the memory causes. However Lilith replied coldly not letting them see that she's hurt. " My father murdered my mother." The adults both went wide eyed at how unaffected she spoke about her loss. "Oh uh, I'm so sorry. I didn't kno-" "It's best if you never ask anyone why they are here. Nobody is here because it's so fvcking great. Remember that!" Lilith cut her of at the first sentence still fake friendly but after it, she wasn't able to hide her anger. Nadia swallowed and only nodded. "Um well, what are your hobbies?" Marcus tried to begin a nicer conversation with the eleventh year old girl. "Archery and sword fighting.", she said uninterested. "we heard that you ran away once or twice, may i ask why?", the woman asked shyly. "First I hate it here and secondly I just love the risk that it brings." Lilith smirked devilish. "Um okay, we will think about adopting you and letting you know how we decided, alrigh-" "you can tell me to my face, that you don't want me as a form of a child!" Lilith cuts him once again off, he gulps at her response. "O-okay, Sweetheart maybe we should go" Nadia said a bit scared to her husband. "mmh." he hummed with that they were gone and short after Mrs. Jones burst into the office. "Can't you be one time at least a bit friendly, what is wrong with you?! Other kids would kill for a family, that wants them and you scare family after family away!", she yelled. Lilith just stared numb in the woman's eyes. "To your dorm! Immediately! And you got yourself a whole month detention!", the girl just walks to her room.'to think I would stay here' she thought.

You wake up with Newts strong arms wrapped protectively around you. He was still asleep. You pushed a strand of hair out of his face and admired him as he slept peacefully. Newt slowly began to wake up. "You could have woken me up" he said with his morning voice. "But you looked so peacefully" you responded. Newt began to blush as he realized what you had said. "Thank you" you said nuzzling deeper in his chest. "F-for what?" He asked confused. "For yesterday, I don't know what he would have done with me if you weren't there and if I'm honest I think I don't want to know it." You said as you felt tears in your eyes. Newt, who heard the sadness in your voice, hugged you tighter. "Ssh it's over now. You're safe with me and I'll protect you I promise." "Thank you so much I don't know what I would do without you." You said as he smiled. "How about I stay awake and protect you and you go back to sleep. I know you need it." "What about school? I don't want that you get detention because of me." "I don't care. And they will understand it if you want to talk about it with them. I don't say anything if you don't want that but, in my opinion, I think you should talk to them so he can get punished but it's up to you, ok?" You just nodded and drifted off to sleep again. You wake up alone in Newts room and were confused because the young wizard normally kept his promises until you saw the bathroom door open (imagine the dorms have their own bathroom) and Newt came out just with a pair pants on. You couldn't help but state at his scars and muscles. "Oh, you're awake. I uh I'm sorry I know they're pretty ugly." He said obviously embarrassed as he put a shirt on. "What? No! They are not!" you stand up and walk towards him. "Well, I think they are, along with my freckles and-" "Whoa stop! I forbid you to talk about yourself like that, remember? And by the way I think that they make you unique. And your scars show that you are brave enough to stand next to a creature that could possibly rib your throat. And I think that your quite handsome just like you are." You now stand directly in front of him you're noses nearly touching. He is bright red and looked from your eyes to your lips and back up, clearly nervous. "C-can I k-kiss you?" he managed to stutter. You we're surprised by his question but quickly nodded. He slowly leaned in, giving you enough time to still back away. And then his soft lips landed on yours. The kiss was soft and you didn't ever want to pull away. When you finally pulled away You just looked in each other's eyes. Suddenly there's loud knock at the door, which made you flinch and hide behind Newt. He quickly put a random shirt on, grabbed your hand and called the person in. The door opened and in the doorway stands Professor Dumbledore. "If I remember correctly, you should be in class now, Mr. Scamander." "I uh-" "Am I right Mr. Scamander?" Dumbledore asked "Yes, Professor" he said looking at the floor. "May I ask then why you are here and not in class, you don't seem ill?" "Its because of me, Professor!" you quickly replied. The Professor looked at you. "Yesterday, there" you take a deep breath feeling tears build up "ther-there was this boy" you couldn't say more before you burst into tears again. Newt quickly pulled you in his arms. "He abused her." Newt completed your sentence still holding you. "Miss/Mr Y/l/n, is that true?" Dumbledore asked. You just nodded against his chest "Yes, sir". "Do you know who it was" Dumbledore asked complete serious now. You shook your head "but p-please don't give Newt detention it's not his fault he rescued me" "under these circumstances you don't have to worry, miss/Mr. Y/n, neither one of you will get detention." You both let out a sight of relieve. "Could you describe me the boy?" (you two describe the guy) "After I casted the flipendo charm he flew against a sharp stone and began bleeding he now should have a little scar on his left cheek." Newt explained. "Ok, thank you, you two. And I think I know who it could was. And miss/Mr Y/l/n it was really brave to tell me this and I promise he will be punished also I will talk to your professors you are dismissed for today." "Thank you, Sir." You and Newt said at the same time. The Professor left you two alone. "Are you alright Y/n?" Newt asked as you thought about what happened between you two before professor Dumbledore came. Could you kiss him now anytime you want? Does he like you as much as you like him? "Is everything alright, beautiful?" he asked again. Your head shoot up after he called you beautiful "Sorry, what did you say?" he laughed a little "I was asking if you were alright... beautiful." "I uh, yes never better" you blushed and he smirked when he could see the reaction to the nickname, he gave you.
