I'd have so many mini essays to post if I ever could make myself writing them out.

Just now I wanted to go down the rabbithole with how the brushes and tools actually affect your artstyle and the way you draw, and how some tools just really fit some things so much better. (like how my handwriting is ass but when i randomly wrote with a random brush i never had used for writing before, my letters suddenly came out so much neater and writing was so easy)

I learned about this new site today and I plan on making a page there: UnVale. It's anti-AI "art", so I have some hopes for it.

Otherwise I have instagram with the same username and I just setup bluesky but I already hate it too much like twitter ew.

What is this about the tumblr staff wanting to sell art data to midjourney?

An ex-colleague of mine mentioned yesterday that there may be contacts between Automattic and midjourney in that direction, but nothing is public yet and I don't have any more info. They probably won't have anything specific to share either, since they left the company weeks ago too. That being said:

I have no reason to doubt my ex-coworker word, they are a trustworthy person.

Tumblr's CEO has been absurdly enthusiastic (comically, even) about AI, and is a big fan of LLMs and 'AI' companies.

A deal with midjourney could solve tumblr financial issues (not the same company, but openAi is paying up to 5 million/year to news companies to use their content as training data... tumblr generates several orders of magnitude more content than any newspaper or any media company and it only would need a 20 to 30 million per year deal to be profitable)

So I don't have any extra info yet, but I'm keeping my ears open.

Yesterday I noticed I had 10 clippy points in my CSP wallet, even though I know I had empty wallet before and I haven't made any new materials, and I don't have any paid assets on my page. Where did those come from? Idk. And today, I have 50 more clippy points in my wallet??? Anyways, I got some charms made out of this! They're really pretty star holo charms and compared to the ones I made of Hoshi, dang, the art looks so much better 😅 I'm tempted to update the art on the Hoshi one, but idk if there's any point since I doubt I'd restock the charms.

Unfortunately I didn't manage to record a progress video of this one like I did with Song's sibling Hoshi. I think there is some improvement in this image though, compared to that one! The colours are more rich and pleasing, and somehow I'm just more satisfied with this outcome :3

I started making little charm designs of Genshin characters as animals, because why not?

The charms have arrived too! I haven't gotten yet, they're at my friend's place since I ordered them with her, but I'm excited to see how they look in person! They are double-sided with a different design on the back :3c

I have a Scarakitty design and charms as well, and I'm planning on making Tighnari and Gorou as well. If you have a character in mind you'd like to see as a chibi animal, feel free to suggest! I'd like the character to be one with animal features, or one with an animal constallation. ✯
