My only working theory right now is that the Dokana Group is the remnants of Martian survivors. Because, why the hell else would they want Juno? No offense to our beloved disaster detective, but he is just a lady. But people have been way more interested in him ever since he imbibed Ancient Martian fluid. And now Juno has some kind of Ancient Martian code in him they want/need.

It would also explain how weird the Associates are. If you'll remember all the way back to S1's climactic finale (and hasn't Juno come such a long way since then 😊) the Martians were supposed to all be genetically identical. Basically one organism with many bodies. Maybe they weren't quite as unified as Juno theorized though. Maybe there were some slightly different Martians that escaped the first gene bomb way back in the past. Or maybe a certain sect edited their genetic code just enough that the blast didn't affect them. (Although I'd bet it was meant as "cleansing" in that case). It would explain why they all are the same.

Anyways, I've been rotating this last set of episodes in my head a lot. I can't believe it's almost over.

Rita for SURE thought she’d just helped her best friend’s (/little sister) boyfriend that he’s madly in love with and who’s madly in love with him come up with an elaborate journal in order to propose to him.

To me, that’s why she started bawling about him being all grown up and how there was going to be a wedding (not referencing the VesBud wedding) — she thought she was helping him get proposed to, because in her eyes why else would Nureyev ask for her (Juno’s best friend) help with something like that and make her promise not to tell him what was in it, make it a coded game — she gave him a program she’d been working on for 40 years and hadn’t even cracked herself in order to make this such like, a “game” or a “feel better” thing for Juno.

She 1000% thought that she was playing a hand in the proposal and that makes me so emotional sometimes—
