Okay, I Just Have To Tell This Story After My Last Reblog About Old Fan Fiction.

Okay, I just have to tell this story after my last reblog about old fan fiction.

So in the 8th grade my class was assigned a book project. Throughout one marking period we had to do 3 book reports from a list of assignments given—so, for example, one option was drawing a comic to explain what the book was about. Now we had to present them in front of the class, and when this group of girls got up to present, they announced their book came from Wattpad.

And not only that, the book they chose was based off One-Direction. Now me and my friends are trying to hold back our laughter because we know that what they did technically wasn’t a book, but fan fiction. The teacher was so confused and they had to sit there and explain what Wattpad was and the book they chose, but they almost KILLED ME when one girl mentioned it was also a lemon, although I don’t think she meant to say it as loud as she did. But the teacher already being confused and wanting an explanation asked what a lemon was and the whole room got so quiet. It’s a memory I will never forget!! 😭🤣

I honestly have so many funny/weird stories from middle school and high school, I can’t. 😂

This scene made me laugh so hard, I don’t even know why.

They’d been in there for about ten minutes when the door to Captain Benson’s office swings open, revealing the newest member of the team, “Rollins, Fin, Han- I’d like you to meet our new recruit from just outside Philly, Detective Maddie Buckley,” Captain Benson says with an air of confidence that is both intimidating yet somehow charming. 

“Han, Buckley will be partnered with you now that Carisi is playing lawyer,” the boss lady announces, an amused smile on her face when she notes the gleam in the senior detectives eyes at the order, knowing the trouble she is probably setting herself up for by pairing these two together. 

The group exchanges small talk and pleasantries, the new partners inching closer and closer toward each other as they chat, a palpable undeniable chemistry in the air around them, and as Captain Benson retreats into the confines of her office a few moments later, eyeing the duo, she’s more than certain she is definitely playing with fire.

Chim, Maddie, Hen and Karen go on a double date in an attempt to build a bridge but Maddie is late as always... so Chim uses the time to have a word about everything and they have a serious, much needed convo.

Maddie is late and he’s both not at all surprised but completely relieved because it gives him a chance to talk to Hen. Karen had been the one to suggest the double date and Maddie had been nervous all week about it whilst Hen had barely mentioned it and he was starting to feel the awkward tension leaking into his friendship with Hen and their working relationship. It’s strange because she’s not liked any of his girlfriends before and has always made it clear from the beginning that it wasn’t her dating life, so it never mattered. She was nice enough to their faces and that was all he could ask for.

But Maddie was a different story. She was never rude and she never said anything to intentionally hurt Maddie’s feelings to her face but there was a coldness there he wasn’t used to seeing in the other woman. Karen was at the bar and he’s sitting across from the woman he considers to be his best friend, and she has been since he’d met her almost a decade before. They had been through hell and back together and he doesn’t know if he would be here today if it wasn’t for her. She’d kept him sane in the midst of bullying and racism at the start of his journey in the 118 and he’d tried to do the same for her, he hoped he was able to do the same for her. This was just a new hurdle, something they could overcome because it was Hen and Chimney and nothing else mattered.

“I know that you’d like Maddie if you gave her the chance.”
