A new friend for the Morioh gang—Himari!

I’ll put together a bio for her (and Sheena) as soon as I’m able, but for now here’s a little bit of info about her under the cut.

Age: 15-16

Personality: Comes across as emotionless, but is just abnormally calm. Quiet and awkward, but friendly. Goes with the flow. Has a whimsical sense of humor. Intelligent; absorbs information like a sponge. More sensitive than she appears. Becomes more expressive over time.

Interests: nonfiction books, manga, plants, insects, video games, puzzles

Okie, so this is how my drawings look before I do anything to them. Depending on the lighting of the room, the color(s) might already pop well enough.

Next, I decrease the contrast. You can go all the way back to -100, but usually I go to about -70 or less. It varies from drawing to drawing and really just depends on what looks best to you. I also like it because any pencil/eraser marks don’t stick out as badly.

After that, I adjust the brightness and black point until they look right to me.

By then, the colors will probably be vibrant enough to where increasing the saturation won’t be necessary, but I say go for it if you want. I like to go up a smidge myself.

Lastly, I slap a filter I like best over the drawing (“Vivid” for the iPhone is my go-to).

Btw I haven’t forgotten about y’all’s suggestions! My Apple pencil has been missing and I have to borrow someone else’s tablet to do digital art for now. I’m sorry that it’s taking so long.

I don't want to ask AI a question. I don't want AI to write my sentences for me, at all ever. I don't want AI search bars to be the default and I don't want them to be in such a way that I can't opt out. I don't want this kind of AI in my life and there is no such thing as AI art, there is only theft of art from human artists by AI scrappers. I don't want any of this, I hate it. Maybe in a world that isn't driven by tech bro capitalism we can see machines doing all the dangerous inane things so humans can be free to pursue life and creativity. But that's not what's happening right now and I hate it.
