The only toxic thing about him, there, I said it š¤
does jungkook know the pain he causes to the single people community everytime he picks jimins shoes for him ?š
Jikook deciding together, what to eat, when to eat, when to sleep, when to diet, what clothes to buy and match. Making life decisions together, enlisting together, even deciding to spend couple days together.
I can't get over how they move like a couple, even if they're possibly only friends. They're so in tune & move together as one. I can see why members always speak about them as a package deal or ask if they're dating or a couple. They clearly see it too. And the way they've always been consistent with their domestic nighttime routines, we seen for years. We saw it in ITS 2 when they decided to call it a night together and Jk asked Jimin if he wanted Ramen and Jimin said no lets sleep now. In NY going to bed together at the same time. In CT, brushing their teeth together & getting ready for bed and going to bed again around the same time & waking up and snuggling together complete with morning booty slaps and moans. In Jeju, both washing up at the same time, with Jimin even hovering by JK doing his nightly skin care routine, same as he did in CT. Deciding when they are gonna have "Ramen" kinda hard when you have a guest crashing in your room, then deciding together not to have Ramen and just winding down together, until Jk says he's tied and says come on lets go to bed and they run and jump in the same bed together & snuggle a little bit. We even see them brushing their teeth together again in Japan in matching couple PJ's. The way JK even added them waking up together and starting their morning routine together in couple JK's, in the Life Goes On video, which also parallels Troye Sivan's opening shot of his There For You music video, which is the song JK used for GCF Tokyo. I'm in awe of Jikook. Always on the same page. Its so darn cute & so domestic.
If not couple, why so couple coded Jikook? If not couple, maybe you should become one, since you already act like one. ;)
Yep you said it all anon. If jikook are not a couple they might aswell become one because they already act like one and have been behaving like one for over 10 years.
I still remember when they were in Vegas for PTD and jikook were dieting together and taking boxing lessons together from Tommy Sseam. Jk got into the room found out Jimin had eaten and called his a traitor lol. There were always some little things they did or said that gave us an idea of how they spent their time off camera. Even back in 2021 when they were in LA for PTD, we had them coming back from concerts together, eating together, working out together, even talking about not showering yet, I mean what do yoonminers and taekookers think when they see stuff like that? They think that all these years Jimin and Jungkook just abandoned Tae and yoongi and did everything together including eating, sleeping, working out etc and only waited for the solo era to finally spend some time with their boyfriends Tae and Yoongi even though all these years Taegi have been spending nights alone, showering alone, eating alone, working out alone and barely spending any alone time with Jikook because those two were literally always together? Jimin and Jungkook are some terrible partners then.
Hiii, thanks for this insightful answer. I especially love your last point about 'workshopping' new songs at concerts! I remember when I became ARMY I was very surprised that this not something they ever did at a concert. I was new to K-pop but having been a fan of many kinds of bands, playing new songs is a staple of a concert. It goes to show how highly rehearsed and choreographed BTS concerts are and how much they NEED to rehearse every single cue. From talking points to how they enter and exit the stage ect. Once you think about it it makes total sense (especially if they're speaking in their non-native language, duh, practice makes so much sense) but this level of preparedness is not possible with (reality) content! Sure, the production crew can talk/agree with 'the talent' about story beats they want to hit. As you mentioned a writer is often part of the crew in order to make sure a n action will make sense within an episode.
While I don't think AYS made use of a writer, they did, with the members' input, carefully plan out activities. This is the bread of the episodes, and their chemistry is the meat. Lmao..and what a beautiful show of thigh and breast we've gotten.
Sorry. Got carried away there š«
@myobsessionsspace made a good point about members commenting on the viability of a scene due to a lack of interesting moments. Jimin especially made a very interesting comment that I've been meaning to talk about. When he's sick in episode 1 or 2, he comments, "This show will never air," and he's sick and tired, so his voice is VERY dejected. But I believe he's also so very disappointed in the situation (f*ck you stomach bug) because if these two episodes were a bust due to bad luck, then that might mean they wouldn't be able to 'shop the show' to investors. That would mean no more traveling with a great excuse.
I think the level of 'DIY' by members will continue going forward. Yes, although I think these two are not the best to take as a 'base line' for the 7. Because Jikook are great at doing both filming AND having a great time while also thinking about blocking, shots, and story beats. No offense to other members, just. It might take all of them a while to manage. So, while ITS might have some go pro shot by member scenes/activities, I think it's still necessary to kit out and entire place with covertly set up crew to make it work.
Thanks for answering my ask! š
Hi CQ, Thank you for your ask! I would also like to keep this conversation going as it tickles my brain in the most delightful way.
My question is kind of circling back to your comment about the use of Go-Pro's going forward when it comes to BTS content. It's such an easy way to add a very personal and up close pov to the scenes. YET, I feel like the scaled down crew of AYS and the use of Go-Pro's and especially the lack of attention to the audio has led to some pretty egregious technical setbacks. From choppy audio to a lack of proper coverage in certain scenes. This leads to an edit that has to cover a lot of potholes, so to speak. Do you think this is purely due to the intimate nature of AYS (less crew means more comfort for jikook, easier travel in between locations) or something else? Where's that Disney money š©š©š©?
Hi Sol, I'm loving our exchanges, so thank you for keeping it going and sending me such an interesting prompt! I definitely had to think about this one a little bit to find how to encapsulate my thoughts.
The short answer is, I think this all just speaks to how the BTS production team is approaching experimental content and the financing required for such projects. Some comparables would be Suchwita and Jin's Alcohol Journey.

Let's start with Jin's show first.
(For anyone that hasn't watched it, I highly recommend. I don't drink but I still found it fascinating.) This is a 4 part episodic show that followed Jin as he learned about and made his own batch of a traditional drink. This show was a collaboration with Chef Baek Jong-won.
Personally, I feel this show was a success. Definitely leaned into more traditional filmmaking and storytelling (appropriately given the subject matter) and was a little more heavy-handed with the promo of Jin's solo music. In my opinion, this will lean the content to feeling more dated than it truly is but that may give us a hint as to how it was funded. There weren't any blatant sponsorships aside from the partnership with Chef Baek so it could have been reconciled as part of the promotions for The Astronaut. Wooteo is pretty prevalent in the show and it aired in the midst of the promo content.
I don't remember when the deal with Disney started to become known but I don't recall anyone in my circles angry that it wasn't getting the Disney release. (Could have been happening but I really limit where I spend my time engaging in social media so maybe that's on me for not being aware. Does anyone here remember if this was an issue?)

Now, let's move on to Suchwita.
(Disregard the quote on the above gif, I couldn't find a different one from the first ep.)
If you watch the first episode, it's on a different set and aired about a month before ep 2. When ep 3 airs, they first make it very clear that the show 'survived'. This is what leads me to believe that episode 1 was filmed on speculation. They could use that as a proof-of-concept to shop the show around to brands to secure more long-term funding. Suchwita's main focus as a show in the current events space is very focused on the guest's current projects and promotions.

Getting back to AYS,
We're far enough into the show that I believe we can rule out album promotions as being a financial driver. Not only because most of the member's songs that even make an appearance in the show were long-ago released but the manner in which they were incorporated is indicative as well. They're really only mentioned in the context of bringing us into the member's lives and sharing in the joy they have for eachother's work. (Also hopefully satisfying those fans that only ask the members to mention other member's songs when one of them would livestream...but that's a subject for another day.)
I think there's a strong possibility that the US eps were filmed on speculation as well. That there was no guarantee of a Disney release at the time. Just like the other shows, they knew they knew they could release on their own if Disney decided to pass so the footage definitely wouldn't be wasted. But I believe that's why the scope of the show seems vaguely undefined during eps 1&2.
Everything else that we've been discussing regarding production honestly seems within the typical scope of BTS's content under similar circumstances. Yes, there is plenty of room for improvement, but it's far from the worst show BTS has ever produced. I think one of the points that makes ppl think it's worse than it is is the management of expectations. I mentioned this in my review of Jimin's Production Diary but if we approach that show expecting that we're going to get detailed breakdown of all of the steps to create an album, we'll be very disappointed. Likewise, AYS is not a detailed vlog of how our members spent their time in these mini vacations.

One last thought,
BTS is not really given the space to experiment and explore. True experimentation requires space for failure, realignment, and growth. And that's just not something BTS has been granted the luxury of. There is such EXPECTATION with everything they release. Everything HAS to be success. That's one of the reasons I was so thrilled to hear RM had performed an unreleased song at the D-DAY concert. Crowdworking new material at concerts was a staple of tourning bands in the west and it helps bands get such critical live feedback DURING the creative process. Now, I don't think that was necessarily the goal with RMs performance but it's so lovely to see him able to even take a step in that direction. Such a thing woukd have been completely unheard of years prior. Fans (likely still) would have been clamoring about being led astray if the song changed drastically after that performance.
Anyway, I could very easily be completely wrong about all of this so let's all take it with a huge grain of salt.
It's absolutely heartbreaking. His many apologies will not appease the audience nor the media waiting to crucify a member of BTS. My heart goes out to him, and I hope his incredibly brave heart holds. Hold him up high. Chin up. No shame. Being human, making a mistake, does not warrant this kind of public scrutiny.
Please leave supportive comments on weverse for Yoongi. Flood his latest post with love and loyalty.
I saw the actual cctv footage. It happened just like he said. He rented a scooter. He drove in a straight line down side of the road. He turned to go into 9-1 and the wheel locked up. He tripped and fell over on the sidewalk, and immediately got right back up to check on the scooter. Police foot patrolling the area came over to check on him; he was honest that heād drank at dinner, so they took his scooter license. Thatās it. Nothing damaged. No one hurt. No charges. He was immediately transparent about it with us.
The way media has been hounding him, calling him blackout drunk, playing the wrong cctv footage, saying he could have killed someone, calling for him to be expelled from BTS, and talking about him serving time in prisonā¦ is THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.
In part itās because media loves to build people up then tear them down. But also thereās all the corruption and murder of investigative journalists by the current administration to cover up.
It hurts to see Yoongi apologize again for something so small. Drinking culture being what it is in Korea, watching him trip and get right back up, and seeing this three-week-long shitstormā¦ itās left such a bad taste in my mouth that I havenāt posted about it, because this blog is supposed to be a happy place that focuses on positive things.
But considering the tone of Yoongiās post just now, and how many k-celebrities are driven to take their own lives after this kind of relentless harassment, I feel like just ignoring this circus would be neglecting someone I love. So I left a detailed encouraging comment on his post.
I urge you to take a moment to write a heartfelt message of support on Weverse right now. I really feel like he needs to see it to draw strength and regain perspective. He needs to know ARMY is not ashamed of him. He needs to hear it over and over that we love him and arenāt going anywhere.
Apobangpo.

I saw this tweet and it speaks to me, it says it all
https://x.com/mainlykm/status/1828489606209081405
there is just so much love there, so much that they decided to travel together and then enlist together
I like what you said about the narrative, itās what i thought from the start in regards to the car talk as it absolutely set the scene, of friends that have not spent a lot of time together and want to (they obvious canāt indulge the truth, or say they are lovers). So hey, letās travel together for fun!
It makes sense, it gives as reason for the show, the why they are doing it. People thinking all sorts of stupid things, but that was always clear to me. I had wondered before the show aired how they were going to navigate that, the why, and so it made sense to me to lead with that, I think thatās why Jimin lead the conversation referencing they hadnāt been on a trip together in a while, acknowledging that they had been on a trip just them before.. one which is infamous. GCFT has always set them apart since its release, no other members have that sort of trip on record (obvs we know about Tae and Hobiās trip). I mean why out of all the members, or out of all their friends, did they need or want to spend that travel time together? I mean that in the sense that it was also the case that as far as Army could see, Jimin and Tae hadnāt been spending much time together, so why not him? (Talking abkut NY/CT). The other thing that sets them apart to me is how we didnāt get any live content at the time of filming, in comparison to Jimin going to see Yoongi in NY and going live, we got nothing when he was with JK, why? It marks them as different in my opinion.
I do now wonder about the arc of the story in the rest of the episodes, I love your thought process there. Iām going to say Iām nervous for any in depth talk they may have, weāve gotten nothing much so far about MS, but obviously in Japan they know they got in. Iām nervous because any information they give us about their reasons will be used against them, and sadly atp not just by tkkrs, but by insecure jkks too, and what a sad site to be in . However, I canāt imagine it wonāt be mentioned, the bittersweet thing about Japan meaning they were just a mere couple of weeks away from enlistment day whilst there.
I have enjoyed this show immensely and agree with what you said wholeheartedly about the purpose of it all is to show us them, as they are. The small details of their relationship, the small but oh so significant details of their bond, how in sync they are and just move together. Itās truly beautiful and all I want from it is for people to respect them, and their really incredible bond. š
Hi there,
Do you remember this time last year when we were teased a possible Jikook live but it never came? JK did his very best, put on his poutiest face, fanned his lashes, showed us brawn and muscle and all sorts of things in order to get Jimin to join him during one of his many lives. Ah, what a thirsty time that was.
No, they didn't go live or tease the actual show when they were filming AYS, and I think that's probably due to them wanting to 1. Keep AYS a surprise, and 2. They still might have needed to 'sell' the show to a distributor.
Regarding the first I think we all know they love to give ARMY gifts. They know, THEY KNOW we love them together. The amount of times people have been asking them to go live together ect..they were probably giggling knowing what they were preparing. Their excitement during the NamVMinKook (help what is their name š©) last live when Joon alluded to bedroom MMA..they were exited and wanted to keep it as surprise. On the second point I think, like someone mentioned (please, I forgot who it was, please come get your flowers š) they might not have sold an 8 episode show yet, so nothing was set in stone. They had a wild idea and a dream! but maybe not yet a clear idea of how they'd be promoting the show, they had no title ect. Like we say here, they might not have wanted to make us happy with a dead bird.
As to your point of them mentioning MS.. hmm..I dunno, I'm not as nervous for it, I guess. They mentioned it explicitly in episode one where they talked about deciding to do the show because thy would be going away for a while. They also said they wanted to keep doing it, to quote JK "until we're 50".
If they do mention it, I think it will be just as brief, not a whole explanation. It's as deep as they're willing to get, I suppose. Very Jimin-esque, mentioning it,but also keeping it close to the vest. They know about their haters, ofc they do, but if they're like me, they curate what they see and what they allow to permeate into their sphere. I block and report, but I suffer no fools. Not on any app. Why waste my time reading that drivel when there is this kind of love story to be celebrated.
If we were surprised by them enlisting as a duo, then I'm sure they talked about how it would be received, and they decided it was worth it.
Yes, their bond is what as breathed live into my veins these past weeks. Hell, the anticipation has been building for months! And I hope they know that. I hope they know that there are people like you and I, dear anon, who will support them, whatever may come.
Thank you so much for your lovely ask š
