Listening to music. Theyre sitting quietly in the living area with a record on. Soft, beautiful and staticky sounds coming from the player. Youve never heard this record before.. So they must have pulled it from the attic. You walk up beside them and sit down next to them, leaning against their shoulder. You listen for a quiet moment, until the record falls silent for a second, transitioning to a new song. You open your hand between your laps, offering it to them to take. And they do. Quietly squeezing your hand, looking over to you. They mention how the record is from their childhood. How they were feeling nostalgic and decided to dig it out of the attic. They look back towards the record spinning on the platter. A look of melancholic nostalgia on their face. Its beautiful. Yes the music of course but also them. An intimate glance into their past. So you sit with them. And you listen to the music of their life in content silence. honestly you could probably sit there forever Just you. And them. And the soft sounds of the record into the night.
