Hermenoodle - Love Said Not So - Tumblr Blog

Yona, a widowed pastor with the gift of exorcism and word of knowledge from God, works as a private investigator in paranormal cases outside her ministerial duties and raising her son and her younger cousin.

Some more Yona doodles for today. Studious in her research and cautious in her line of work when it comes to paranormal investigations.

Note to self: relax and sketch your ocs without feeling like you have to "perform" with a clean sketch...just doodle and have fun <3

(her name is Yona btw <3)

I remember seeing a small statue of Mary here some.months ago & wanted to interpret it may own way. She's still one of the go-to biblical figures I love to draw again & again.

The way this is gonna take forever to do is a sure sign I'm going to Learn A Lot From This.

Blow a raspberry at him for me, Maron.

Jotaro in that one Johnny Cash outfit (with his oc playcousin, Petra).

Some of my paintings of my friend @bielzabussy's design of the Shekinah from last year.

Veni, Sanctus Spiritus.

Maureen. Preacher's daughter, friend of gargoyles, kicker of demon booty.

Sister Annunciata in a garden.
My first time really putting effort into a background for a scene.

A sketch of Mary of Nazareth that I saw based on a picture of a little statue I saw of her on here but with my own little design of her. I'll need to get around to my watercolor paints with this one soon.

Sometimes warfare isn't done with swords.

A tad update!

A wip of St. Rose of Lima. I was really intrigued by her story from 2 Feminists Annotate the Beatified, especially with her constantly wearing a crown of thorns & roses.

And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
- The Gospel of Luke 2:25-26
A sort of old piece I submitted for my alma mater's student ran academic magazine. Really proud of my progress at that point.

When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus was also baptized; and while he prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased."
- The Gospel of Luke 3:21-22
I was really working myself to the bone on this one a couple years ago. Sort of can't believe it's 2 years old now, but I still have a fondness for this one. The sketch is a bit older, though, as I drew it during chapel at Bible college.

Angel Raziel for today's drawing.

My current icon with an angelic character of mine, Tzadkiel, that I made in mind for a Christmas card for last year.
