Your eyes narrow, taking in the scene in front of you. This fight is becoming tougher by the minute.Â
The special grade cursed spirit across from you smiles, it's face agonizingly similar to that of a human's.Â
You're weighing your options. This special grade seems to have powers that connect with space. It can move at an impossible speed, managing to pop up in the nick of time in a completely different spot meters away.Â
It's powers are powerful. Currently, you're a second grade sorcerer. You're powerful, but more against curse users than actual spirits. You can do a lot of things other sorcerers are still dreaming of.Â
Your cursed technique is Water Manipulation. Like the name suggests, you can manipulate and change the structure of any body of water. You're powerful, but especially against people, as they are made up of 60% water after all.Â
" It seems you're losing. "
The cursed spirit is laughing at you, it's dark, hollow eyes scrutinizing you as it takes you in.Â
You huff at him, forcing yourself to stand your ground. You raise your arms, ready to continue your fight.Â
A fake, easy smirk settles on your face.Â
" Maybe you should open your eyes, I'm actually imagining all the different ways I can exorcise you. "Â
Your expression is smug, though you feel anything but, internally panicking.Â
You'll have to fight your way out of this, even if you're not sure you can win.Â
You're not dying today. You will make it out alive.Â
You unclasp the water skins resting on both of your hips, your hands moving fluidly as they guide the water into a make shift weapon. Today, you choose for it's vast, sharp nature, speeding the water's movements as you form two ring blades- two huge circles who act as an extension of your arm. The water they exist of is whirring at an incredible speed, making them exceptionally sharp. Right now, you're not aiming to fight the spirit. It doesn't seem all too afraid of close up combat, but you hope you can draw it back far enough towards the bridge that connects this village to the city over a river. If you can do that, you'll stand a chance. You could escape, or better yet, win.Â
Your eyes narrow into a serious expression as you charge at it. It's smug, it's counter powerful as it fights back.Â
" This is also quite fun you know, I didn't expect we'd be getting all close and personal. " It grins.Â
The spirit you're fighting might look humanoid, bit it's still got a weird purple skin colour. It's hair is blue, the colours clashing with one another. It's not pretty, in fact, it's very uncomfortable to look at.Â
You scoff.Â
" Don't get used to it. "
You don't bother to say more as you quicken your movements, your aim a little desperate, but definitely dangerous. It's starting to work. Your rapid attacks are sending the cursed spirit back, not wanting to be caught in one of your make shift blades. Soon enough, it's drawing back, slowly getting closer and closer to the river. It raises it's arm, and you jump out of the way. A new, free path lies in front of you, and you take your chance.
To your horrific surprise, it seems to launch some sort of ball, vaguely reminding you of Gojo's sensei's technique. It doesn't just explode the building it hits, it turns into a small, black hole, sucking in a part of the falling bricks. You're running towards the river, however, just before you reach it, it jumps in the way. However, the river is now in your reach, and you seize the opportunity. Reaching out your hands, you command the water far below you, and it shoots out in a spike towards the cursed spirit. It moves out of the way just in time, and you take it's place instead, continuing to summon the water around you. It turns into a huge circle, spinning protectively around you. The weight of the water is heavy, but you can handle it, even if it does weigh down your movements.
However, as you're getting ready to launch the attack, the spirit laughs, sending another ball your way. You release all the water, letting it fall on the ground as you jump out the way. The ball hits the ground, and this one doesn't turn into a small black void. Instead, it releases a huge wave, sending you back. First, it makes you hit the railing of the bridge, your back hurting on the impact. Ouch. Lucks seems to be on your side, as you somehow manage to flip over the railing, now falling towards the river. A very rich power source.Â
The spirit smirks, catching you of guard. It creates some kind of golden ring, and to your surprise, it teleports. It's under you within a second, and before you know it, you're falling in it.Â
-
You groan as you wake up, squinting at the harsh sunlight.Â
" Huh?.. " You're puzzled.Â
Where are you? It takes you a few moments before you realize exactly where you are. As you turn to your left, the archway to Jujutsu Tech greets you.Â
You're back here? How?Â
Something is wrong. You were in a nearby village just now, not too far away. It was cloudy there. It was only a 10 minute drive from your school. How was it sunny here already?Â
You rub your face, completely confused. You can swear that the air is different too. Something isn't right. However, a searing pain spreads through your body. Shit, your back. You forgot about that. You groan as it hits you.Â
You turn to your water skins, only to see that you left it uncapped. The water must've fallen out as you fell. Damnit, you don't even have enough water to heal yourself.Â
" Salmon roe? "
" Inumaki senpai! Holy shit am I glad to see you. " You groan, struggling to get up.Â
He sends you a questioning look, stepping back when you reach for him. You return his look.Â
" My back's killing me-"
" Pickled mustard leaf. "Â
He's raising his hand at you as he speaks, a warning for you not to move. Your eyes widen in realization. He doesn't recognize you. He's asking how you know his name.Â
Your mouth opens slightly. What was going on? You were relatively close with your upperclassmen.Â
" You- what? - You're playing a game, right? You know who I am. C'mon, we've sparred so often. You trained me for the exchange event a few months ago-"
Inumaki shakes his hands at you, making you pause your words. The both of you blink at each other for a good minute. Him wondering who you are, and you wondering what was going on.Â
" I'm your underclassman. You know me. I know you. You're Inumaki Toge. You can only speak in rice ball ingredients because of your cursed speech technique- your favorite rice ball ingredient is Tuna mayo. I know because I asked months ago when we got to know each other. Also I accidentally hit you in the head with a baseball during our baseball game against the Kyoto school.- I'm Kamo Y/N. Your favorite underclassman (you're probably not, but that doesn't matter), Ryomen's best friend-"
He blinks in question again, as you blink in response.Â
" Ryomen Sukuna? My best friend? He's like-"
" Sleep. "
Your eyes fall closed as you fall to the ground, completely unconscious.Â

" Where are you even going at this hour? "
Sukuna glances up. He'd left the door to his room open, for no particular reason.Â
Meanwhile, Megumi glances at the many cursed tools he's got spread out over his desk and bed.Â
" M' gonna find the little shit. "
Megumi raises an unimpressed brow.Â
" You've been looking for her for a while now. It's futile. "
Sukuna had expected the reaction. Especially from Megumi. Yuuji would've asked him to join, but he wasn't putting his 5 minute younger brother in danger like that.Â
" Then I suppose I'm going for an evening stroll. Does that suit your taste better? "
Megumi blinks in annoyance. This is why he didn't get along well with Sukuna. He was stubborn, much like you. Megumi sighs, thinking for a moment before shaking his head.Â
" Should I wake Yuuji and Nobara to join us? "
Sukuna glances at him in question.Â
" That curse beat Y/N. And she's not weak. None of us have a change of beating this spirit alone. "
Sukuna and Megumi have a similar issue. They have a sincere issue in showing vulnerable emotions. This is probably the most sentimental they'd ever get with one another, and if you were here, you would be proud of them.Â
Either way, Sukuna shakes his head.Â
" We've beat cursed spirits in pairs before. The two of us will do. "
-Â
Megumi doubts the two of them will do.
His eyes are wide, focused on the spirit in front of them. He's not sure if they found it or if it found them.Â
" Heheheh. How cute. Two little Jujutsu students. "Â
The spirit is laughing, mocking them as it looks down at them from their elevated position.Â
Megumi's eyes widen, noting it's cursed energy. It was heavy, powerful. Megumi doubts this is a good idea.
" We should run."Â
Of course, his pleas fall on deaf ears.
Sukuna is smirking at the spirit, his eyes wide in a kind of rage that even shakes Megumi. He knows Sukuna was a force to be reckoned with. Sukuna's heavenly pact made him one of the most powerful people around, even without cursed energy. With Y/N, he was unstoppable.Â
" Where's the little shit?"
The curse raises a brow. ( Is it even a brow?), before catching on, its lips (are those even lips?), pulling into a grin.
" Ah, you mean that cute little girl?"
Something flashes in Sukuna's eyes. His hand reaching for his most powerful weapons.Â
" What did you do to her?"
It's Megumi who asks, ready to summon Nue while Sukuna clicks the Chain of a Thousand Miles and Inverted Spear of Heaven together.Â
The curse's eyes flash over the special grade cursed weapon. It knew it could exorcise it.
It knew it needed to avoid that from happening.
Nonetheless, it keeps up it's act, pretending to be as confident as before.
It crouches down, leaning its head on the palm of its hand as it looks at them.
" I sent her away. You won't be able to find her."Â
Megumi's eyes narrow, before widening, realizing it's cursed technique.
" Rabbit escape!"Â
As the shadows create a large amount of rabbits, Megumi grabs Sukuna by his collar avoiding him from attacking. Sukuna is surprised. Annoyed too, but he trusts his classmate.
Soon enough, they're hidden away from it's view.
" It can teleport."Â
" What?"
" It cursed technique must be some kind of teleportation. And it's range must be huge, considering we can't find Y/N anywhere. We can't exorcise it. We have to capture it."Â
-
[ Canon Jujutsu Kaisen Universe ]
" So we're just meant to wait here?"
Takuma is the one asking the question you're all wondering.
Nanami nods.
" Yes. Our job is to exorcise a spirit if he misses it."
" That sounds awfully boring."Â
" We could help him. It's a group of special grades right?"
You try your luck. You never know how it will end up after all. That feeling of unease still in your stumic.
Takuma grins at you.
" Ah right, you're from a completely different universe right? You don't need to worry. Our Gojo sensei is the strongest!"
He's beaming, yet you don't share the sentiment.
" That shouldn't mean that he has to carry that burden alone."
Nanami's eyes widen at your words, studying your expression. Nanami has met a lot of people. He's never heard anyone say words like those.
" Is your Gojo the strongest as well?"
You nod.
" Yes. He's quite the same. "
" Ooeh, what about me? Have we met in your universe?"
Takuma can't help himself, curious about where you're from.
" Yeah. We've done a mission together actually. "Â
Takuma remains excited, asking you multiple questions about your own universe. You answer them as best as you can. After a moment, it falls silent again.
" Hey Megumi, where's Nobara and Yuuji? I thought they'd be with us."
He shakes his head at your question.
" Yuuji is on Mei's team.-"
His eyes glance towards Nanami subtly, like he wants to add something. He seems to decide against it, continuing.
" And Nobara is with Maki on team Zen'In."
You pout.
" There's a girl team and I'm not even invited?"
" Ah, don't worry Kamo! We're fun too!"
" Besides, you should be glad. They've got Zen'In's old man on the team. Do you have him in your universe?"
You nod.
" I think so. Never spoke to him though."
" You should be glad. He looks down on women. Maki hates him. I'm sure Nobara hates him too by now."
While the three of you had been conversing, Nanami checks his phone, subtly catching all of your attention.
" The transfigured humans who were waiting inside the building are now attacking non-sorcerers. Which is why we're ending standby and moving in."Â
Soon enough he's stepping forward, shrugging his shoulders off. He lays his jacket over his arm neatly.
You wonder where he'll leave it.
" We may be acting against orders, but if we wait any longer, it might be too late."
He sighs.
" This, my other concern is-"
Both Takuma and Megumi take his words right out of his mouth, while you listen patiently.
" The other-"
" The other veil that keeps sorcerers outside, correct?"
Takuma glances at Megumi in surprise, animatedly moving behind the two of them as they converse.
" Why deploy the veil now that Gojo sensei is inside?"
" Either something has happened inside, or they were waiting for this moment as part of their strategy. What I can say for certain is that they wouldn't move without a plan. Y/N and I focus on the enemies who lowered the veil. You two do your best to rescue civilians."Â
All three of you nod in understanding.
And soon enough, all three of you enter the veil.
You wonder if the other teams were doing the same.
You're nervous.
You have no choice but to fight the disfigured humans now.
However, just as your team stepped a few ways in-
" Nanamin!"
Was that?-
" Nanamin, are you here?!"
That must be-
" Gojo sensei has been sealed!"
You lock gazes with Megumi, confirming your suspicious. This was, without a doubt, Itadori Yuuji.
Everyone's eyes widen.
" You three, change of plans. "
He turns around.
" We must join forces with Itadori at once. If he has indeed been sealed, it could spell the end for every human in this country."
Yuuji continues calling for Nanami like a child calling for his dad while you make your way over.Â
In fact, he doesn't stop even when you're right behind him, until-
" Oi!"
Megumi has to hit him in order to get him out of his his trance.
" Ohh- Fushiguro, Y/N, Nanamin. And... who?"
Eventually, Yuuji ends up explaining what has gone down while the four of you were outside. Or rather- Mechamaru explains.
Apparently he's been carrying him around like an earpiece.
You follow his story, yet you can't help but notice the folded black and white fluff to your left. Wordlessly, you take a few steps towards the cat, and pet it.
It purrs in response. Megumi watches what you're doing, but no one comments on it.
" Geto did it?"
" The thing that's acting as Geto Suguru, to be precise. Shibuya is overrun with curses right now. It's overrun by special grades, weaker curses, and curse users who follow Geto, as well as transfigured humans and civilians. "
" Then attacking through the subway from neighboring stations does make sense. But in order to do that, we need that veil lifted."
" This is an emergency. We'll have to multitask."
You can see Nanami thinking as you get up from where you were petting the cat, which has now run off. Unbeknownst to you, he wanted to keep an eye on you. He couldn't allow you to die, sorcerer or not. This was not your universe. Who knows what would happen to your own if you were to die here.Â
However, now that things have gotten more dangerous, he needs to be able to work without distracting himself. Gojo told him about your skills. You were nowhere near weak. You weren't the strongest either. Gojo also commented on Megumi's fondness of you. You'd be safe with your classmates.
" Some requests can only be submitted by a first grade sorcerer. I'll step outside and take care of those with Ijichi. In the mean time, I want you four to do something about the veil that's keeping the sorcerers out.-"Â
He informs everyone, while walking past you. Finally, he turns to Takuma. He's seated on the ledge of the building, the cat you had previously been petting now curled into a rice ball next to him, enjoying his attention.
" Kusakabe and honorary first grade Zen'In should be inside the veil as well. If you meet them, please explain the situation and request for their assistance. Though that shouting earlier might've done the job."
Takuma nods in understanding, his expression serious as he takes in every word. He must look ul to Nanami to react like that.
" And lastly, I'm leaving these three in your care."
And then Nanami is gone. He's disappeared through the door on the rooftop.
Takuma is quiet for a moment.
" Ino?"Â
Yuuji checks.
" You guys! Before we start the mission, let me explain how serious the situation is. Starting with the two main issues with losing Gojo sensei. First! The fall of the Gojo clan. The Gojo clan is a one man team of himself. His whims and influences have saved many sorcerers.- Itadori, Kamo, you're one of them, correct?"
You nod.
" That's right!"
Yuuji looks silly as he confirms.
Takuma doesn't appreciate that.
" Take this seriously! All of those people are gonna find themselves in trouble, or worse, executed.-"
You swallow.
Why was the Jujutsu world so mean?
" The second issue is the collapse of the power balance. Those who have remained in the shadows because of Gojo will make their move.- If society is over disarray over the first, and the second will start a war, we will lose. That's how Nanami and I see it. And what do you think happens if we lose?"
Megumi looks nearly bored as he replies.
" At the very least, the age of humans in Japan would be over."
Takuma grins at him, tugging at his beanie/mask.
" I see you get the idea. Let's get going! By the time Nanami gets back, that veil will be destroyed!"
Takuma is visibly motivated, slapping a shoulder of each of you in encouragement as he walks past you.
" Let's save Gojo Satoru!"
-
[ Parallel Jujutsu Kaisen Universe ]
The two of them, were, in fact, not enough.
Sukuna finds himself wishing you were here so you'd summon that pretty blade which was as light as a feather. He could swear the sword you kept with you was simply more powerful than whatever he has in his hands now.
He hisses as he lands on top of a building harshly. From the corner of his eye, he sees Megumi do the same. The spirit was much stronger than they had initially thought. However, both refuse to give up, and soon enough, they're charging against the spirit at the same time.
The plan was originally simple enough.Â
Get the Chain of a Thousand Miles wrapped around it, and force it to Jujutsu Tech.
The plan was still running anything but smoothly though.
" Two against one? That's hardly fair."Â
It's mocking them though, charging up a white ball and throwing it right at Megumi. Both boys' their eyes widen. It had been physical, close up combat up until now.
It's too quick, and Megumi has no time to avoid. Sukuna throws his Chain his way, and Megumi is close to grasping it- when the white ball hits him
First, it's a regular explosion at a decent size, nothing that would permanently put Megumi on the sidelines of their battle.
Then a huge soundwave follows, sending both Megumi and Sukuna in opposite directions.
Sukuna is quick to get back on his feet. He doesn't doubt that Megumi is too, unless he had landed harshly into a building. ( In which case he'll have to suck it up and get over it- Sukuna needs him.)
The spirit raises it's brow at him.
" You've got no cursed energy."
Sukuna scoffs, grinning.
" Yet I can still beat your ass."Â
The curse grins in response. It opens it's mouth to say something, but Sukuna is done with his shit. Mercilessly, he throws the Chain skillfully his way. The curse had been stupid, probably underestimating him as it had gotten closer.
Now, Sukuna tugs it closer, bringing them face to face with one another.
" Last chance before I hand you to Gojo sensei. Where. Is. Y/N?"
The curse's eyes, which were originally wide, turn into smiling crescents.
" Why don't you find out?"
It's smiling, happy.
Suddenly, a golden ring appears below him. Sukuna's brow furrows.
And then he's falling.
He makes a mistake, holding the end of the Chain in front of him.Â
Giving the curse a window to escape.
Of course it does.
And then he's falling again.
Eventually, he hits his face flat to the ground.
" Fuck's sake-"Â
As he gets up, he wipes a hand over his nose. It's bleeding. He scoffs in annoyance.
He looks up, studying his surroundings.Â
Wait-Â
Why was he in Shibuya?
Now more annoyed than before, he huffs, finally getting up and grumbling to himself in annoyance.Â
He turns to leave, intending to take the bus back to Jujutsu Tech.
However, he walks straight into...something?
He furrows his brows in confusion, glancing up, he only notices how dark the sky is now.
A veil.
Why was there a veil in Shibuya?

Soon enough, you, Megumi, Yuuji and Ino are in front of the veil.
" Nope, it didn't even budge."Â
Ino is watching with wide eyes as Yuuji punches the veil, which rumbles in response.
"N-nice try."Â
It must be his first time seeing Yuuji's strength.
"Â The veil's sturdy. We'll have to find a weak spot and put a hole in it, even for a moment. We can't do anything without getting inside."
While Megumi's speaking, Yuuji casually drop kicks a curse. You're not useless either. You've uncapped one of your two water skins, and have created a whiplash of the water, hitting curses left and right.
Ino glances at your skill, impressed. He's never seen anything like it before.
" Water Manipulation."
You answer the question he hasn't asked just yet.
His brows raise in surprise. He's never heard of that technique before.
Meanwhile, Yuuji blinks.
" Huh, why not?"
"Yuuji, this is the veil that keeps sorcerers from entering."Â
You point out, cringing as Megumi's Demon Dog digs into the curse Yuuji just drop kicked like it's a meal.
"Veils are for cover and protection, right? Which fundamentally means that the one who deployed it must be inside."Â
Soon enough everyone is brainstorming. It gets down to it that there's a good chance that the one who cast the veil is outside of it. Besides, if they were inside, Yuuji's punch must've worked. Which it didn't.
" By that logic, they must've centered it around a place that stands out, don't you think? because the increased risk of discovering would make it even stronger?"
You find yourself nodding to Megumi's words, eyes flicking to the high building behind you. If Megumi's words were true, then the building behind you would be a good, not so subtle, hiding spot.
" A place that stands out?"
All three guys follow your line of sight.
Cerulean Tower.
Soon enough, you've formed a plan together. Megumi would summon Nue, and Yuuji would use the cord he has kept around casually in his pocket (Maki said It'd be useful) to catch them off guard. You and Ino would take out the veil, which must be in some kind of bolt looking object, according to Yuuji.Â
Soon enough, the plan is set in motion. Yuuji casually takes all three curse users by surprise, taking them with him with the cord, exactly according to plan.Â
Ino glances at the odd bolt like sealed object.
"So this is the foundation of the veil?"
Yuuji nods, explaining that the conditions for the veil were already inside.
soon enough, Ino breaks the object.Â
However, the veil doesn't break.
" There must've been three."
You mumble, judging by the dots in the ground. You glance at the curse users, as do the others. Ino seems to catch sight of the curse user who's holding the remaining two at the same time you do. Yuuji is already chasing at the curse user by the time the two of you notice.
He calls something to Megumi as he launches himself and the curse user off the building, leaving you and Ino to deal with the two in front of you.
A grandma and her grandson, judging by the looks of it.
Literally, that's how they address one another.
" Now, I've got my underclassmen to look out for. I better snag some achievements and hit that first-grade rank."Â
You're not sure why he's sharing this with you, or the curse users.
You don't bother asking, or uncapping either of your water skins. You need to be careful in your use of water. It's not like you can ever run out of a water source to be exact, but still.
You'd rather not turn to those measures.
Beside you, Ino summons something.
" Y/N. Join your classmates. I can handle this."
He'd rather keep all the first years together, just to be sure.
Your eyes flash with surprise. You glance at the curse users.
" Are you sure?"Â
He nods.
You search his features before nodding. Turning around, you make quick work of jumping down. Still, you scream as you plummet right towards your friends. You hurriedly uncap one of your water skins, manipulating the water in it to the ground, the water reaching for you like an elegant wave. Megumi and Yuuji both seem surprised at your arrival.
" Wasn't the plan that you'd stay with Ino?"Â
" he wanted me to join you two. What's the situation looking like?" You ask.
The two of them nod in front of them, towards the man who lies rolled up on the floor.
" Huh? His body is clean."Â
You point out with a raised brow. Megumi nods.
"Exactly. Get up, sneaky old geezer!"
For a moment, the man doesn't respond. He simply remains there, ignoring Megumi's words.
" Good grief. Kids these days got no pity for us old folks."Â
You watch as he gets up, snapping the wire around him like it's nothing.
" We can't waste time here."
" We won't. Y/N, follow me in."
You glance at Yuuji in surprise, before nodding, enforcing your whole body with cursed energy.
He must've remembered the training the two of you did not too long ago.
-
" Hey Y/N, we know you're pretty skilled with your cursed technique, but are you also good in hand to hand combat? Considering you always keep enemies at a distance."Â
You glance up from where you're resting in the grassy field of the school, leaning against Nobara.
" What kind of question is that, Itadori? Do you want to fight her?"Â
Nobara scowls at him from beside you. You smile at her expression.
Yuuji hurriedly shakes his head.
" Ah, no. I didn't mean it like that. I was just curious.-"
" I am. My mother wasn't sure if I would manifest a technique, so she made sure I knew how to handle myself if the other kids of the clan ever decided to pick on me. I used to fight a lot."Â
Nobara raises a brow, turning to you in surprise.
" You did? You don't seem like the violent type."
" I'm not. At least, not anymore. I used to be before I manifested my cursed technique. I was a late bloomer as well, it didn't happen until I was 8.- But I used to pick a fight with any cousin who looked at me like I was dirt. That was a lot of cousins. Not Noritoshi though, we got along since the day we met. our mothers are fond of one another."
" Ah, right. You're part of the Kamo clan. what was your life like there?"Â
You blink, shrugging.
" Hard. The Kamo clan hates me. My technique renders their own useless."Â
They both nod. Truthfully, they don't really remember what the Kamo clan's technique was. Nor do they really care.
" Anyway-"Â
You get up, dusting off your clothes as you turn to face him.
" You wanna try fighting me?"Â
Yuuji blinks.
" Are you sure? I don't want to hurt you."Â
" For that you need to be able to hit me first.-"
You grin at him.
" -Besides, I'm you twi- Sukuna's best friend. You think he ever goes soft on me during training?"Â
Yuuji hums, grinning as he too gets up.
Nobara moves to the side of the field, your water skins laid beside her.
Megumi blinks, approaching the scene as he rubs his shoulder.
" What're they doing now?"Â
" Training. How was your training with Maki?"
He grits his teeth, flexing his arm.
" Instructive."Â
She smiles.
And then you and Yuuji move.Â
You're surprisingly quick on your feet without your water skins adding extra weight on you. You dance around Yuuji like some kind of dancer, jumping around weightlessly as you avoid his hits and kicks. Sometimes, you dab at him right after you've avoided yet another punch.
Eventually, you haven't necessarily beaten Yuuji. However, he gives up, dizzy from the countless circling movements you move in.
-
Eventually, you end up making an easy gateway for Yuuji to punch through, time and time again. In between You and Yuuji's combined attacks, Megumi makes his way through with demon dog, along with aiming at him with a cursed tool. The old man is swift as well, avoiding most hits, and for some reason remaining unaffected by any other punch that does hit him.
Eventually, he takes out a pocket knife, shallowly slicing through Yuuji. Yuuji doesn't seem affected, back to punching him in the same second. Megumi comes between the two smoothly, Megumi's toad shikigami slinging the curse user into the wall.
" Itadori!"
" No worries, just a scratch."Â
You follow the man's movements with your eyes, uncapping a water skin to heal the shallow cut on Yuuji anyway within seconds.
Yuuji nods at you in thanks.
" Such power. Such promising features."
How was this man still uninjured?
" Makes killing you all more worth it."Â
Beside Yuuji, you can see Megumi puzzle as well from the corner of your eye.
Was he uninjured because of some kind of cursed technique?
" Demon Dog's claws can injure even special grades.."
" I hit him with all I got too.."Â
" Then why..?"Â
You can hear the frustration in Megumi's voice.
You wonder the same thing.
" Then how is he completely unscathed?"
You furrow your brows.
" He can't have something like cursed energy nullification.. right?"
All you get in response are furrowed brows of concern.
And then the man's on you again.
" We were free. But that freedom was taken from us! By Gojo Satoru!"
He manages to whack a kick right into Yuuji's face, Megumi's sword slicing right through the fence behind him.
" I will never retire!-"Â
Megumi blocks his kick, the blunt back of his sword hitting the old man right in the head.
Sadly, he doesn't relent in his nonsense.
" I'll trample over the weak until the day I die!"
He manages to break free from Megumi, though Megumi does end up slicing him right across the face with his blade. You kick him away, creating a small distance again.
" Seriously, what's with this guy?! I get that he's tough, but there has to be more to it!"Â
For a moment, you and Megumi try to puzzle his technique together, considering it has to have to do something with that.
"Hey! Gojo Satoru is here in Shibuya! You better leave the foundations for the veil behind and run!"
Both you and Yuuji glance at Megumi in question.
" What lousy bluff. Gojo Satoru is sealed. You guys yelled it out for the world to hear. Why do you think we curse users are out? Otherwise I would be sleeping."
So he can't beat Gojo sensei. It can't be cursed energy nullification.
" Fushiguro~, you suck at lying."Â
Yuuji's pouting, laying a hand on his best friend's shoulder.
"It's okay though. You tried."
He's being dramatic, all puppy eyes. You can't help but giggle slightly at the behavior. Megumi seems more annoyed by it.
" Shut up."
" If you don't want to fight, I'll kill you now."Â
" get ready."
You do just as Yuuji says, this time uncapping one of your water skins.- But then Megumi's eyes widen.
" Rabbit escape."Â
At once, multiple rabbits hop up, out of Megumi's shadow, they block the man's vision. One ends up in Yuuji's arms, and you pick one up too. It's surprisingly soft. You didn't except shikigami to actually be soft. (Â You've asked your universe's Megumi to let you pet his rabbits. He's always said no.)Â
You glance at Megumi in surprise.
" Did you figure out his technique?"Â
He nods, tugging Yuuji back by his hood.
Inverse, that's his technique. The harder you punch, the less damage he receives.
Megumi has a plan, one you can follow with ease. Act like you don't know. You will land an exceptionally useless attack, Yuuji a rough one, and Megumi in between. It should render his technique.
It takes only a few moments, and then you're back. Megumi opens the attack, landing max elephant right on the man's head.
The man grins.
" Is that all that you've got?"Â
Max elephant dissipates.Â
" Come down and face me like a real man!"Â
The man yells up to where Megumi is currently stood on top of a lantern pole. Megumi simply points down.
" That's more their style."Â
Yuuji straight up throws a car at him.Â
Where he gets the strength from, you don't know.Â
You follow him in, your water skin uncapped as you chase after him, a long elegant line of water following you at your command. Megumi and Yuuji follow in too, charging up for what would be 'the final blow'. All three of you at once, locking him in position. At the very last minute, your manipulation on the water loosens. It turns into one big splash, only strong enough to push over a young child at most. Megumi summons a toad shikigami at the last second, and Yuuji punches him square in the stumic.
The attack works. He's coughing up blood. You don't stop there, the three of you each punch him one by one, landing a hit square on him.
He doesn't like it.
" Don't get cocky over that, you brats!"
The three of you jump away. Yuuji charges up with cursed energy, pretending to hit him square in the face once more. However, just before his fist is about to make contact with the man's face, he drops all cursed energy. The power behind it disappears, instead landing a raw punch square on the man's face.
it seems like Megumi's plan worked out.
" You're surprisingly adept."Â
" Really?"Â
Yuuji cocks his head at Megumi's words.Â
You smile, about to add on to their conversation, when you feel something.
It's like a call, pulling at your cursed energy.
Your smile falters, turning around in the directions where you can feel it coming from.
Was there perhaps another you in this universe with cursed energy? Or was it someone else?
-
" Pickled mustard leaf?"
Sukuna is angry. And disgusted. And irritated. especially irritated. How dare you disappear at the hands of the cursed spirit, causing him to chase after you? He's got zero idea what's wrong with Shibuya today. He can't leave, because of the stupid veil that keeps him from leaving. He's beating up curses left and right. ripping through them with a wicked blade, it's edges reversed, jagged, meant to inflict pain on curses ( for his own sick amusement, you cringe at it every time you see it.) there's something odd about the curses he's ripping through though. They're bleeding.Â
Nonetheless, he keeps going, only pausing to look at Inumaki.
" Who the fuck you callin' Yuuji?!"Â
For a split moment, tension between them rises. Sukuna raises his free hand, probably to swing it down for added dramatics, when he pauses, completely stilling. his eyes are fixed on his bracelet, the water in it swishing in a particular direction, even when he stands still. Sukuna's eyes are wide, realization hitting him.
Meanwhile Inumaki studies Sukuna. He looks like Yuuji, and he looks like Ryomen Sukuna, Yet he's completely different. He's much more buff, and for some reason, he's tall, taller than Inumaki, and taller than the Yuuji he knows. This must be your Sukuna. His tattoos are similar, yet not the same. There's no mark on his forehead, no slits under his eyes that should represent another pair of eyes.Â
Meanwhile, Sukuna's focus shifts to Inumaki, his gaze hard. He still has no idea what's going on. As far as he's concerned. He's in his Shibuya. He has no idea about what's going on just yet.
" Where's Y/N?"Â
Inumaki tenses.
He's heard that your Sukuna is different, kinder even, yet he's still intimidated. He's got no cursed energy. Yet the blood that's staining the jagged side of his blade, splatters of it on his face and clothes too, make him appear much more menacing than most sorcerers he's had to face. Especially with the cold look in his eyes.
He looks like he's ready to kill him.
[ A/N: Smoll heads up, I'm only catching up to what happens after Shibuya now and well,, err- it's a puzzle for the story line. After the Shibuya incident, updates will be slow.
ps. Would you be interested in silly little drabbles to keep you guys engaged in the story about Y/N in her universe? ]

YOUR FRIENDLY(?) NEIGHBOURHOOD(?) SPIDER-MAN feat. getou suguru
ê° 2.4kê± thereâs something up with your roommate, and youâre determined to figure out what it is and what spider-man has to do with it.

Despite what people may think, youâre not stupid; thereâs something up with your roommate, and Spider-Man is somehow involved with it. Getou Suguru had been perfectly normal up until Spider-Manâs debut. More accurately, heâd normally been perfect. He never left dishes out, never randomly brought friends over without warning, never left washing lying around, you both evenly split chores with little argument, and he was so conscientious you occasionally mused over the idea of him even being real. He didnât hog the bathroom even with a meticulous skincare and hair routine â rather, at some point you two ended up doing it together. Youâd be pressed shoulder to shoulder in your small shared bathroom, rubbing moisturiser into your skin while he brushed his teeth, idle chatter exchanged throughout.
Then Spider-Man happened. Which isnât to say you hate the guy â all in all, you think heâs pretty noble. Not many people would have the guts to do what he does, yourself included, and you know Suguru has a quiet admiration for the man, no matter how much he plays it down. No number of heâs just doing what he can or he could always be doing more for the community is going to change your mind. If you were to ask your best friend, whoâs somehow gotten it in her head that youâre in love with the man and now spams you with roughly thirty edits of the vigilante a day, youâre his biggest fan. The problem is that heâs got something to do with Suguru, and whatever that is, your roommate is visibly falling apart.
He stays out later and sleeps in to hours heâd previously considered ridiculously late. Youâll wake up some mornings to the bathroom an absolute mess; items knocked over, something toppled into the sink, water dripping all over the floor, and the medicine cabinet torn apart. He neglects his chores, neglects his self-care routine, neglects everything. Despite the rapidly increasing hours outside of the house, his friends have confided in you that theyâve barely seen him; likewise, any conversation with him has halted abruptly. Thereâs no mutual skincare when heâs either sleeping or out, that horrid, filthy word; Iâm going out, or Iâll be out tonight, or Iâll be out late, donât stay up for me that has rapidly become the most popular phrase in his vocabulary.Â
Youâve been silently supporting him, cleaning up where heâs had no energy to. That doesnât change the feeling settling under your skin, the quiet acknowledgement that something is very, very wrong. Tonight, youâre going to do something about it.
Which leads to the present moment: you, a bag in hand and your heart thundering in your chest and a tender bruise purpling on your collarbone, two men, passed out in front of you, and the man of your most recent ire, Spider-Man, your newfound saviour. You stare at his face, because youâre angry at him, and if your eyes dart even slightly downward all youâre going to be thinking of are those edits your friend loves sending you. That, or the two unconscious would be muggers on the floor before you.
You know Spider-Man has something to do with what's affecting Suguru, because youâd sneaked a look in his bedroom and found the photowall his best friendâs Gojou and Ieiri forced him to make completely replaced with Spider-Man hit pieces. Heâd written notes, for God's sake, and youâre a little (read: incredibly) worried Spider-Man has somehow done something to either turn him into a die-hard fanboy hellbent on being his sidekick or a soon-to-be supervillain. Youâre not sure which is worse.
âAre you hurt, sweetheart?â
You startle, abruptly refocusing on Spider-Man and his dumb, stupid eye lenses. Eyes narrowing, you readjust your grip on your bag. âIâm fine.â You say shortly, and decidedly do not mention the fact he called you sweetheart. He doesnât call people sweetheart. You know this, because of all the soundbites attached at the start of those godforsaken edits, sweetheart has never been there.Â
Okay, maybe itâs a little embarrassing youâre using that as your point of reference.
He doesnât leave, even though heâs Spider-Man and should probably be stopping another three crimes right now. Instead, he steps closer â you step back. He halts. âAre you sure?â
âPositive.âÂ
âAlright. Where are you going?â
You take another step back, eyes darting to the edge of the street behind you. âWhatâs it to you?âÂ
âHey, Iâm sorry.â His hands raise in a sign of surrender, hanging in clear view of you at the sides of his head. âIâm just worried. Itâs risky for someone as pretty as you to be out so late alone with nothing to defend yourself.â
Someone as pretty as youâ you cut that off for your own safety. Your mouth opens, closes, opens again. In the end, you blink dumbly; he watches you, and you suddenly, viciously hate that you canât see his face. Heâs probably laughing at you right now, and you have no idea. â...Pretty?â
âWas that too much?â
Oh. Spider-Man is conscientious. âUm, no. Itâs fine. Sorry. I just, um, wasnât expecting it.â
âReally? Iâd have thoughtââ
âOkay, maybe it is a bit much.â He immediately shuts his mouth. Stupidly, you kind of regret it, but you canât be getting side-tracked right now. Youâre going to be embarrassed enough recalling this memory, no need to make it worse by collapsing out of embarrassment or some other, worse alternative. âI was just heading home. I, uh, bought groceries.â
âIt couldnât have waited until tomorrow?â He asks. âCrime has been up around here lately. You couldnât have gotten a friend to come with you?â
Spider-Man is scolding me right now, you think, a bit hysterically. Whatever. FIne. This is normal. âUm. No. I need it now.â
âReally? It couldnât have waited until the morning?â
âNo.â You say forcefully. âItâs for my roommate.â
âYour roommate.â His tone falls flat. You squint at him, and he jolts. âI mean, uh, what does your roommate need so bad? Did he ask you to get something?â
âItâs none of your business.â You hug your bag closer to your chest. Spider-Man, the root of whatever is causing this change in Suguru, doesnât deserve to know. Wait. Pause.
Wouldnât he be the perfect person to tell? His voice got all wonky when you mentioned a roommate, so maybe he knows Suguru is your roommate? And if he does in fact know that, doesnât that mean he in some way knows Suguru? Which, as the cause of his stress, means that if you inadvertently guilt trip him by info-dumping, you could get righteous, conscientious Spider-Man to fix whatever is going on there? Or push him away, if crazy-fanboy-theory is right?
You ignore how full of holes your logic is.
âWalk me home.â You say. He stares. Squaring your shoulders, you tilt your chin up so you two are making proper eye contact, taking a step towards him. âWhat, is it an inconvenience?â
âNo. No. Itâs, uh, not an inconvenience.â You turn on your heel, continuing on your stroll to your apartment and ignoring the sound of his footsteps as he falls into step beside you. âI was under the impression that you werenât too happy to see me.â
âThen why did you stick around?â You pause. There is a good reason to be surprised by your sudden change in attitude. âSorry. Iâm, uh, not in the best mood.â
âThatâs okay.â
You clear your throat, training your eyes ahead of you. âItâs a surprise for my roommate.â
He fails to keep his tone even. âA surprise?â
âYeah.â Your tongue darts over your lips. You need more chapstick. âHe, um, has been feeling off lately. Stressed. Tired. Heâs been, uh, leaving stuff around the apartment and heâs barely talking to me. Iâm worried about him.â
âYou donât need to worry about him that much.â
âHow would you know?â You ask pointedly. He doesnât say anything in response. Twat. âHeâs my roommate. You know, he hasnât been taking care of himself. Heâs got these deep bags under his eyes, heâs barely bothering to take care of his hair, and heâs been taking a bunch of paracetamol lately. Heâs going through, like, three times the usual amounts of coffee, and heâs staying out so late that heâs sometimes still not home when I wake up. We havenât hung out in ages, did you know his friends talked to me because they were so worried? And I canât even talk to him, because when heâs not sleeping, heâs out. God, heâs always out nowadays. I donât even know where heâs going, but heâs there all the time, and he wonât tell anyone, andââ
Spider-Man makes a vague shushing sound, impossibly soothing and impossibly familiar. âItâs okay, angel. Iâm sure he appreciates being this cared about.â
âHe better.â You huff, an intelligible feeling caught in your throat. You clear it, eyes skittering to the pavement beneath your feet. âI just- heâs really worrying me, you know? Heâs a good person. Such a good person. Iâm worried about what has him like this, but I donât want to push him, so itâs like, how am I supposed to figure it out?â
âMaybe he canât tell you.â
âThat doesnât help.â You groan, running a hand over the bridge of your nose. âBut, um, I wanted to change that.â
âYeah?â
âYeah. I know that itâs not going to make him more likely to tell me or anything, but I wanted to cheer him up.â Your fingers tighten on the strap of the bag, flexing and unflexing. You adjust your grip only for a covered hand to offer itself, palm up as his fingers linger on your arm. You pass him the plastic bag. âI donât know when he gets home, so I was going to make Suguru his favourite and Iâve bought a bunch of snacks. I rented out his favourite movie â itâs this obscure film from the 80âs that he loves â and Iâve bought a new bottle of nail polish, Iâve got a face mask, I just thought⊠maybe I could incentivise him to calm down, and take a moment to spend time with me. I even bought scented candles. How dumb is that?â
âI think heâs going to love it.âÂ
âYou donât know that.â
âI do.â His voice is firm and, when you glance at him, his face is turned towards you. Through the thin fabric of his suit, his adam's apple bobs as he swallows. âI think thatâs incredibly thoughtful of you, and heâd be stupid to not appreciate it. Itâll make him really happy, I promise.â
âI hope so,â you mutter. âSorry for being a little rude earlier.â
âItâs fine. You were startled, thereâs no need to apologise.â
âStill. Iâm sorry.â Your hands move to rub at your cheeks, your palms warm against the chill of the night. âI, um.â
âYou?â
âNo, nevermind. Itâs dumb.â
âNothing you say is dumb,â he says sweetly, because Spider-Man is apparently the sweetest man youâll ever meet, second only to Getou Suguru. âWhatever you want to tell me, Iâll listen. Thereâs no judgement here.â
You hum in reply, breathing in deeply and letting the air linger in your lungs before you exhale. Youâre clearly not the mastermind you thought you were; that wasnât so much guilt-tripping as it was venting, and thereâs no repressed guilt floating about Spider-Man. If there is, heâs hiding it remarkably well. How embarrassing. You just vented your heart out on accident to a vigilante â a very attractive vigilante, might you add â and for what? A bit of catharsis? Suddenly, intensely, you feel like a piece of shit.
âThanks,â you say finally. âThatâs really nice of you.â
You both fall into an awkward silence. For a long moment, the only thing that sounds around you is the passing stream of traffic; someone rolls down the window of their car to hell âayo, Spider-Man!â as you walk past. Itâs only as you near your apartment that you ask yourself; why did he even walk you home? Surely it wasnât just because you told him to. How does he know where you live?
Well, thereâs a rational answer to that. He probably was just silently following you as the two of you walked. But then again, shouldnât he have asked? Arenât vigilantes all about like, secrecy and secret identities? Wouldnât he want to know where he was taking you?
All good questions, youâre sure, and all incapable of being answered.
âThank you for walking with me,â you say finally, instead of why did you? Donât you have a dozen other people you could walk home right now? âUm, stay safe. Thank you again.â Thereâs an awkward shuffle as you reach for your bag, fingers curling around the plastic as you tug it off his arm and he makes no move to help you. You offer him a small, hopeless smile.
âHey,â Spider-Man says softly, âcheer up a little. I really think your roommateâs gonna love it.â
You huff. âI can only hope.â You tug the bag close against your chest, ducking your head in greeting. âHave a good night.â
Then youâre turning your back to him. You immediately hear the little thwip that must be the projectiles he uses to transport himself â youâve heard theyâre webs, but thereâs no way heâs that into the gimmick â and, when you turn to look at where he once stood, no oneâs there. Oh well. Itâs not like you were going to invite him inside; you have a meal to make for Suguru for when he inevitably gets home at some ridiculous hour.

When you enter your apartment, you take a moment to just stare. Suguru is before you, breath coming in quick, short pants as he shoves a shirt over his head, showing for a half a second the broad expanse of his back. His hair is an uncharacteristic mess and, when he looks over his shoulder at you, thereâs a fond curve to his eyes.
âHi,â Suguru says, breathless and his cheeks lined with a soft shading pink. âSorry, I just got back from a run.â
You blink at him, and decide not to ask what he was doing going for a run at 11pm. âItâs okay. I was getting stuff for dinner. I was, uh, hoping we could maybe have a movie night? We havenât hung out much lately so, you know.â
His lips crack into a soft, warm smile. âYeah. That sounds great.â

i genuinely wish i was better at writing because this does not do the concept of spider-man!suguru justice. is the pacing dog? yes. is the writing dog? yes. god i wish i had the energy to properly flesh this out.

You find yourself seated in a familiar spot. The scenery is the same as back at home, the sun setting on the sight of Tokyo Jujutsu Tech. There have been a lot of days where you and your best friends have lost track of time talking to one another late at night in this very spot.Â
You're worried, mind running with scenarios of how home would be doing. How is your own world? Are you having this human body - cursed spirit issue too? The one you had been fighting was quite tough- were your classmates alright? Was your best friend alright? Or had everyone written you off as dead? Considering you disappeared right after a battle, it wouldn't surprise you. You're not sure. Your eyes sadden, losing yourself in your thoughts. You refuse to believe that everyone believes you're dead, that they've given up on you just like that.
You glance down at your bracelet. It's ordinary, crafted from simple wood. It matches your best friend's bracelet back at home. You wonder if his works. It's filled with water, imbued with your cursed energy. That way, he could always find you when he needed you, and you could always find him when you needed him. You doubt it works. You can't feel your connection to it currently, your cursed energy with you and you alone.Â
" Are you okay? That last mission seemed to be quite rough on you. "
You glance up, only noticing Yuuji standing there now. Had he been standing there for long?Â
" Ah, sorry, I didn't notice you. I'm alright. I've just got homesickness at the moment. "
He hums, noticing your sad eyes as he sits down beside you.Â
" The way you stood up for Nobara was badass. It was cute too though. Are you two close in your universe? "Â
He's calm, watching the scenery with you. Your presence is somewhat comforting. New, yet so oddly familiar.Â
You hum.Â
" Yeah, we are. I was so happy to learn that another girl would be joining our class. We hit it off right after meeting in the city for the first time, when we went to pick her up. I think that got Sukuna a little jealous. "
You're smiling fondly at the memory, meanwhile Yuuji has to remind himself that you're talking about a different Sukuna, not the one he's harboring.Â
" Ah, he's your best friend right? "
You hum.Â
" My one and only. "
" What about us? "
You turn to him, blinking.Â
" What about us? "
" Are we close? You've mentioned that we used to be close when we were younger. "
" Ah, yeah. We were inseparable as kids. Until you grew more athletic and developed a love for horror. I'm a whimp- I don't like horror at all. It makes me downright unable to sleep. Sukuna would laugh at me when I came over to sleep over one random night, because of my fears. I wanted to prove him wrong, so I watched a horror movie with the three of you. It backfired, and I was unable to sleep. Sukuna ended up feeling guilty enough to watch Pokemon movies with me all night. We grew closer after that. I realized that I too was one of the people he has a weak spot for. In my universe, you're one of those people too. "
Yuuji blinks, not having expected that at all.Â
" Sukuna as my twin.. The idea of that leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. "
You laugh softly.Â
" I think it's weird you share a body with him in this universe- and that he had 20 fingers. And that you swallow them for breakfast, basically. "
Yuuji laughs, agreeing with you. A comfortable silence settles over the two of you. You lean your head on his shoulder for a moment. Back home, you were touchy with your friends, often linking arms with Nobara, or straight up pulling Sukuna along to where ever you pleased. He always pretended to hate it, but you know him better than that.Â
Yuuji doesn't seem to mind, instead relishing the comforting gesture.Â
Yet, you can't help yourself from asking him the next question. You need answers.Â
" You've mention that you've... Killed, instead of exorcised before.... "
You're careful in your words, allowing him to stop you if he wants to. When he doesn't, you continue to carefully speak.Â
" I just wondered... Do you maybe know why? - As in why they were in a human's body? "
Yuuji shakes his head, eyes on the floor.Â
" I don't. There's a curse who's strong enough to transfigure people though. I know you're afraid too, but if we don't figure out how to send you home soon, you might have to fight more human-cursed spirits. "
You nod at his words, your eyes downcast on the floor.Â
" I don't like it either. I hope we manage to kill patchface and these cursed spirit people before anything too rash happens though. "
You hum, about to reply when-
" It's because of you! You took me in, and now the severed parts of my soul have awakened. "
Your eyes widen, head raising to stare at the mouth and eye that has sprouted on Yuuji's cheek. What the fuck was this?-
" To help lots of people, was it? Brat! People are gonna die because you live! "
" Hey, don't tell that to Fushiguro. Don't you dare. "
Yuuji's stoic, different. It's obvious he doesn't like Sukuna.Â
You don't like this Sukuna either. You can tell he's nothing like your Sukuna.Â
" And what are you looking at?! "
" You're an eye and a mouth on my friend's cheek. "
You deadpan the obvious as you blankly stare at him.Â
He cackles, Yuuji slaps his hand over him, trying to shut him up.Â
" That's enough out of you. "
It doesn't stop him, Sukuna's mouth appearing on the back of Yuuji's hand.Â
" You don't belong here! You should die! "
" That's rich, coming from someone who's a mouth on a hand now. I'd say you should die. "
While you're busy mocking him, Sukuna has an unsettling realization. He's met you before. You're not from here, and you're definitely not supposed to be here. You were a sorcerer he was forced to face back in the Heian era. Your reverse curse technique was strong, strong enough to be used as a weapon. Your domain too, was one he hated. He absolutely hates you. He needs you dead before he can carry out his plans of regaining powers. Facing both Gojo Satoru and you would set him at a huge disadvantage. One that not even his current plans could face.Â
However, there's no need to rush in killing you though. It appears that you don't even know your potential just yet, your body protected with regular cursed energy.Â
Yuuji scoffs, slapping a hand on his own to stop Sukuna from spouting nonsense. Thankfully, he disappears.Â
" Soo, that's your Sukuna. "
" Yeah, sorry about that. "
" It's fine. I don't take things randomly appearing mouths say to heart. "
Your smile eases Yuuji's worries, his previous guilt gone, replaced by a warm feeling. The two of you sit in silence a little longer, enjoying each other's company and watching the sun set on Jujutsu Tech.Â
-
A few days pass, and you find yourself and your classmates in Tokyo's shopping district.Â
" Aren't you buying way too much? "Â
Yuuji releases a puff of stress, holding the many bags Nobara has shoved in his arms.
You're walking a few paces up front with her, your arms linked together. You have bought some stuff too, considering that was why you were here in the first place. There was no answer on when you could return to your own universe, no one has any idea how just yet. Your financials are finally properly supported by Jujutsu Tech, and you've entered the shopping district. You're only really buying stuff you need, though that is still quite a bit, leaving you with three bags.Â
You're only holding one. For some reason ( an unspoken one, everyone was surprised when he offered), Megumi was carrying your other two bags. You've promised you'll buy him a crepe as a thank you, but he's brushed you off, telling you it was fine and that you should save the money.Â
" Half of that is yours, you know? "
You blink at her, that's not true.Â
" This bag is all that's mine! "
Just as Yuuji raises his bag to show her, one threatens to fall out of his arms. He manages to catch it.Â
" Drop one and you're dead. "Â
" Ah, Yuuji, do you maybe want me to carry some bags? "
" No Y/N, Itadori is a strong guy. He's fine. "
" I don't think being strong is part of the issue Nobara-"
And then.... One of the clothes she bought slips out of the open bag, on the floor.Â
Everyone's eyes widen.Â
You raise your hands, attempting to stop Nobara, but as expected, she's already punching him. Megumi tugs on the back of your uniform, holding his own high in embarrassment as Nobara scolds Yuuji.Â
" Come. Let's pretend we don't know them. "Â
He's already walking a few steps away with you, arm around your shoulders, When his phone rings.Â
He takes his arm off you, taking out his phone.Â
" It's Gojo sensei. "Â
You're not sure why he's informing you. Maybe because you know him as well.Â
Their conversation ends soon enough, and he turns around, facing Yuuji and Nobara again.Â
" What? "
Finally, Nobara releases Yuuji.Â
" Gojo sensei is calling us. "
" Huh, why? "
Nobara's pouting, you guess that she wanted to spend the whole day lingering around Tokyo's shopping district.Â
" It's a mission, 'a top secret one'. "
You snort, the words familiar.Â
" Ah, so this Gojo sensei is the same as the one back in my universe. "
" Does your Gojo sensei say that often as well? "
You grin at Nobara, nodding.Â
" Last time he called us for a 'top secret mission' was because he wanted to get crepes and didn't want to go alone. "
You smile fondly at the memory. Eventually, it had only been Yuuji, Nobara, Megumi and you. Sukuna wasn't around, because he was simply god knows where. You hadn't felt bothered enough to find out back then. Your best friend had been offended that you had gone without him. You only found him hours after the place closed. As a peace offering, you spent your money on expensive fruits (strawberries) and chocolate, dipping strawberries in chocolate late at night.Â
Nobara laughs at your words. Some people are apparently the same no matter the universe.Â
" Why not go? Gojo sensei still said it is top secret after all. It must be big. "
You smile at Yuuji softly. He was so cute sometimes.Â
" Yeah well, Y/N is right. He does say it all the time. "
Yuuji hums at Megumi's words.Â
" Yeah, so what? "
All four of you exchange smiles, and make your way back to the busstop. This time, you link arms with Megumi, simply because he's the closest. He shoots you a surprised glance, but his expression softens, features softening into a smile.Â
This Megumi was so different of your own. This one is nice to you.Â

The mission you guys were called for was in fact, not top secret. That mission was about a week ago now. Your current mission? Also not top secret.Â
In fact, the four of you have just wrapped it up. It was in the city, and now, you're all left with what to do for the rest of the day.Â
" I think I'll go see a movie. "
Yuuji shares, scrolling through his phone to see the many titles which are currently playing.Â
" What about you, Kugisaki? "
" It's still early. I think I'll go see a movie. "
" What about you, Y/N? "
Over the past week, you found yourself growing closer with Megumi. It was quite silly. The Megumi of your universe didn't exactly get along with you all that well. Your Yuuji could stuck to him like glue, but your Megumi and you could not sit in the same room for longer than an hour before the two of you start bickering. (Yes, it went down between the two of you that often.) On the rare days, the two of you would get into a physical fight.
That usually ended with you annoying him to no end, considering your fighting style revolves around other people their movements. It would eventually also escalate with him using his Ten Shadows technique on you (yes, you manage to piss him off that bad, that often.) Which in turn, would send you running. Usually to Sukuna. Not necessarily because he could beat the Ten Shadow technique, but simply because no one but you ever dared to bother Sukuna. It was a simple, unspoken rule. One Gojo loved to disrespect often.Â
" Ah, I think I'll join Nobara. "
He nods while you grin, linking arms with Nobara who mirrors your expression.Â
" Alright. I'm heading home. "
Moments later, Megumi is on his way home.Â
" I'm going to the movies, what about you guys? "
Yuuji asks, waving his phone as you and Nobara are stood on the staircase leading towards the metro station. You let go of her, in turn of facing him.Â
" What are you watching? "
" Human earthworm 4."Â
He looks so proud as he says that.Â
" Who even watches that?! I haven't even seen 1,2 or 3."Â
" I think you'd be fine jumping in in 4-"Â
Yuuji begins, explaining the plot to her. You cringe. It's not your type of film.Â
" -So the theme is actually love! "Â
Yuuji exclaims, all excited. You blink.
Ew, worm man.Â
" I don't want to see some wormo man. Regardless of the theme. "
" It's human earthworm though. "
" I'm not going. "
" Awe, Y/N, what about you? "
" Uhm, no thanks. That movie franchise is... Not my thing. "
" We're gonna go shopping. Wanna join? "
" I just said I'm going to the movies! "
" Okay, see you later then. "
" Later Yuuji, have fun! "
The two of you walk along for a moment, agreeing about how stupid the whole concept of human earthworm is, when-
" Excuse me, do you know Itadori Yuuji? "
-
Moments later you, Nobara, and a girl whose name is Yuko, find yourselves at a simple cafe, as she explains the situation to you.Â
" This is me at our middle school graduation ceremony. "
She hands her phone to Nobara, and you peek over her shoulder. Woah, now that's a glow up.Â
" Woah, wait, that was only six months ago! What happened to you? "
" You did have quite the glow up. You're gorgeous!"
" Ah, thank you. I did grow 15 centimeters. And with moving to Tokyo and the stress of changing environments... "
" Woah... You're a real Sato Kuruko. "
" That's Itadori. -"
She's showing the two of you a different picture now. You recognize Yuuji in a different school uniform, only noticing now that he's really growing better into his features.
You hadn't gone to the same middle school as Yuuji in your own universe, instead, you were home schooled with the other kids of your clan. It's where you and Noritoshi learned to get along so well. He was a bastard child, yet next in line as the chief because of his technique. You're rejected because of your technique.Â
" On graduation day, I worked up the courage to ask him for a picture. I actually wanted to get his number too, but it was already decided that I would be moving to Tokyo. "Â
She continues to explain, her eyes downcast, a little sad about the memory.
" So when I saw Itadori earlier- I thought maybe with how I look now, I might.... "
You and Nobara catch on, giving each other incredulous looks.Â
" Wait, Yuko, you mean-"
You begin, looking at her like some sort of silly cartoon, Nobara finishing your sentence for you.Â
" - it's like that? "
Yuko replies with the same energy.
" Yes, it's like that. "
Barely a moment later, Nobara is calling someone. Ijichi, who was on his way to drop off Megumi. It doesn't take any effort for the driver to turn around. You doubt Megumi is aware of it.
" Someone who knows Itadori well is on his way here now. Let's hear what he has to say. "
" Uhm, if either of you are also interested in Itadori... "
Yuko starts, though Nobara's deadpan expression pulls a giggle from you.Â
" No. "
Her eyes look dead serious as she says so.Â
" Even if hell and earth were to dance the lambada, not happening. "
You snort at her words.Â
" Yeah, you don't need to worry. I'm not interested either. "Â
You smile reassuringly at Yuko. A few moments later, Megumi has arrived at your table, looking agitated. You smile at him.Â
" All right, what's the big deal? "
" Hey Megumi, does Itadori have a girlfriend? "Â
Nobara doesn't waste time today. She's getting straight into business.Â
He raises a brow at her.Â
" Hue? "
" This is Ozawa Yuko. She's actually something, something and something like... "
Her explanation is shady, both her and your expression serious.Â
He breaks out a sweat, understanding the situation.Â
" So it's like that? "
Both you and Nobara nod, sweating the seriousness of the situation as well.Â
" Yes, it's like that. "
He ends up sitting down beside you. (Figure out the seating plan yourself, I'm not gonna make it complicated.) With a black coffee.Â
You will never understand his preferred taste.Â
" I doubt it. He didn't seem particularly upset about moving to Tokyo all of a sudden. And he's got one of those posters hanging up in his room. Anyone with a girlfriend wouldn't put up something like that, right? She wouldn't like that. "
Meanwhile, Nobara seems to be more concerned about his choice of drink.Â
" Are you the type who drinks coffee black around girls to show off? Please stop. "
You blink as well, suddenly curious. Was he?Â
He's annoyed by her words.Â
" Don't forget, you're the one who called me. And I always drink it black. "Â
Yuko finally speaks up now, an adorable blush on her face.Â
" Um, by the way, do you happen to know what his type is? "
" A tall girl with a big ass. "
Both Megumi and Nobara turn to blink at you. You blink back at them.Â
" What? I grew up around him and his- around him. "Â
You blush in embarrassment, realizing you could be wrong. There's been enough proof of differences between your universe and this one after all.Â
" Well, you're correct either way. He mentioned something about liking tall girls. "
Yuko, Nobara and you seem to communicate telepathically, like some kind of electric signal spreads between the three of you. You clink your glasses together, and Nobara slams her phone on the table.Â
" You've got a shot! I'm gonna summon Itadori! You're okay with that right, Yuko?! "
She nods.Â
" Yes! "
The messages between them are silly, and fast. And now, all that's left to do is wait.Â
Not that you have to wait long. Soon enough Yuuji joins the scene, a paper bag of stuff in his hands.Â
" Oh!, Fushiguro's here too? "Â
Both you and Nobara blink. That was fast.Â
Suddenly, you hurriedly glance at Nobara. She hadn't told him why he needed to come. Hadn't told him about Yuko. There was no way he could recognize her when she changed so much- Nobara seems to realize too, sweating the situation, holding out her hand to quickly introduce the two of them to one another.Â
" Itadori! This girl is-"
" Oh!, it's Ozawa. How did you end up here? "
All three of you are impressed. Holding up imaginary 10s for his recognizing skill.Â
Yuko and Yuuji end up spending the rest of the afternoon together, with Megumi, Nobara and you tagging along behind them. Megumi even felt soft enough to hold Yuuji's stuff for him.Â
" Was that really okay, they could've at least exchanged numbers. "
Megumi points out, as Yuko leaves by train later that afternoon. You agree. Kind of. They had seemed to hit it off after all.Â
" She exchanged hers with me, so it'll be fine. More important, Fushiguro, Y/N, I've finally recognized my own feelings. "
Both of you give her a curious glance.Â
" Hue? "
Was she about to admit to having feelings for him? You shouldn't be surprised. The two got along really well, after all-
" The idea of Itadori getting a girlfriend before I get a boyfriend really pisses me off. "
Maybe not. You grin at her words, an imaginary embarrassed sweat drop running down your brow.Â
Of course she'd say something like that. That sounds more like her.Â
Megumi doesn't seem surprised.Â
" Is that so? "
" Sorry for the wait! "Â
Yuuji jumps back in between you and Nobara.Â
" Walk behind me. "
You blink at Nobara's words.Â
" Huh, what's this? What're you talking about? "
Yuuji seems confused. A feeling you relate to. Megumi doesn't seem to care.Â
" Here. "
He's handing Yuuji back his bag of stuff.Â
" Here, while you're at it. "
" Huh? What's this? "
" Wouldn't you feel bad for making a lady carry them? "
She's handing him her own bags now.Â
" Sure. "
Yuuji doesn't seem to mind.Â
" Want me to carry your stuff too, Y/N? "Â
You smile at him, shaking your head. You're only holding one plastic bag loosely between your fingers, the bag full of snacks.Â
" Oh, shoot! The movie's about to start, let's go! "Â
Yuuji's jogging before any of you actually can check the time.Â
" Hey! Wait up! Don't take my stuff with you! There's no way I'm watching some wormo man! "
Yuuji ignores her words, turning to Megumi.Â
" Fushiguro, Y/N, wanna grab some popcorn? Fushiguro, you like caramel flavoured right? "Â
" Don't just assume we're all going to watch wormo man. "
" I told you all, it's human earthworm. 4! "
-
You regret watching human earthworm 4.
There had been a little too many horror like sound effects and jumps in it, and now you didn't feel like sleeping. Your fear of horror films was a bit childish, but it rarely bothered you.Â
And so you find yourself leaving your dorm. You want to make dumplings. But you don't have all the ingredients, so you need to go to a 24h convenient store.Â
" What're you doing? "Â
Your skin shivers before you jump, turning around to face the intruder who's sneaked up on you.Â
" What the- Don't sneak up on me like that! "
Megumi blinks plainly at you.Â
" Where are you going at this hour? "
" 24h convenient store. I can't- I'm gonna make dumplings. "
" Why? Do you really need to at this hour? Don't we have some in the freezer from the last package Yuuji got? "
" Yeah, but I want to make them fresh. "
Megumi blinks at you again, before sighing.Â
" Okay, well, give me a second to change. I'm coming with you. "
You hadn't even realized that he was in his pijamas. You're in your pijamas too, an oversized sweater and a comfortable pair of leggings. You don't feel bothered enough to change though.Â
A few moments later, he returns.Â
" Okay, let's go. "
Thankfully, the walk towards the convenience store is short. Only 10 minutes. The silence between the two of you is comfortable, as you walk side by side down the stairs of Jujutsu Tech.Â
You eye the forest surrounding the school grounds warily, like something might jump out to attack you any second. Like you don't have powers that literally render every living creature. Megumi glances down at you, realization finally making it's way into his brain.Â
" Are you afraid of the dark? "
The wrong realization. But don't worry, he'll get there.Â
You blink.Â
" Oh, uhm, err- something like that. "
He's admittedly puzzled. So you weren't afraid of the dark. Maybe you've had a bad dream? He doesn't decide to push it. Instead, he softly takes your hand, holding it in his own, distracting you from your fears.Â
You glance at him, a blush on your face. You smile gratefully at him, squeezing his hand as your peaceful silence returns.Â
It doesn't take you long to get the remaining ingredients, and soon enough, the two of you are back at the dorms, now stood in the kitchen.Â
" Thanks. You didn't need to come with me you know? "Â
You smile at him as you unpack the bag. He blushes, looking away.Â
" I wasn't going to let you go alone at this hour. "
He mumbles it, but it's just loud enough for you to hear.Â
He eyes you preparing, before moving to stand at your side, nudging you away.Â
" I'll cut up the vegetables. "
" Ah, thank you. "
There's a certain peace that resides between the two of you as you work in the kitchen together. It was nice, getting to know him this way. Your Megumi and you would've been bickering already.Â
Once you've set the dough, you help in cutting up the remaining ingredients. Noticing he's deciding on the amount of ginger to cut up, you smile at him.Â
" You can add extra if you'd like. "
He raises a brow at you.Â
" You like extra ginger? "
" Not necessarily, but you do, right? "
He blinks, his eyes open in amazement. How did you know that?Â
" Does your universe's Megumi like extra ginger too? "
You shrug.Â
" Not sure. We don't actually get along that well in my universe.- I noticed you ordered that chicken dish that's ginger based, and how you were measuring just now. I just put one and one together and guessed. "
The quick smile you send leaves him blushing once more. He smiles at you. He hadn't realized you were so perceptive.Â
His eyes return to his chopping work.Â
" Tsumiki used to make dumplings with me when we were younger. "
You smile as he softens around you, before your features sharpen.Â
" Oh, right, I completely forgot about it, but I wondered if I could visit Tsumiki sometime? I healed her in my universe, you see. "
Megumi's eyes widen, the grip on the knife he's holding loosening. Were you that powerful? You mentioned being able to use reverse cursed energy, but were you really able to apply that to illness as well?Â
" I- you healed her? With your reverse cursed technique? Why? I thought we didn't get along in your universe? "
You nod.Â
" That's true. Our relationship in my universe is hard to explain. I wouldn't borrow the you from my universe my charger, but if he'd need a kidney I'd offer it. We originally did get along. Until something silly happened. Gojo introduced us at a young age. "
Megumi's eyes remain wide. In all honesty, he was mostly still surprised that you might be able to heal her. He also didn't exactly understand how your universe's version of himself didn't like him. You were amazing. And if he were to be selfish, he wished you'd stay.Â
" Hey, you guys are still up- what are you making? "
Both of you turn to see Yuuji standing in the kitchen's entryway, holding an empty bowl he must be returning. The moment is gone, the conversation something you'll return to later.Â
" Yeah, we're making dumplings, wanna join? "
