he’s amazing tbh, like, by some miracle he always, and I mean always gets your pronouns right

if you change your name, he will slip up with that now and then, but the pronouns are spot on

he won’t hesitate to tell someone to kindly fuck off if they decide to misgender you/deadname you on purpose

overall, very supportive and helpful with your identity!

he doesn't mind your acne. he dated you for who you are. not for looks, not for the money (even though he's the richest man in teyvat) but he loves you because it's you!

whenever he sees you looking at the mirror and being visibly upset with your acne, he would reassure you that you're still beautiful to him.

he's super sweet about it???

also, whenever you have your break outs, he'd try his best to help you. he'd definitely go and get the products that is needed and would help with the treatment. bear in mind that this man only knows the basic of taking care of his own skin, basics i tell you.

if there was anyone who was making fun of you because of your acne scars, please know that childe will be at the person's house, there and ready to shed blood.

he's a family man, so literally i feel as though he had already considered you as his marriage partner as soon as he started dating you. so that means, this man would do anything to make you feel safe and happy.

so if you were to feel upset or insecure about your acne, he would tell you that you're still you. it doesn't matter to him about your looks because he loves you just the way you are.

he would ask if you wanted to do treatment as well, and if you said yes, he would definitely help. mans got experience here, so he would definitely help you out.

if anything, i can see thoma helping you with your acne so that it doesn't have a break out that frequently.

i could also see him knowing what your skin condition is? so if you had oily skin for example, he would buy the right cleanser for you and everything.

no bc he also likes to do his skincare. he does his usual skincare everyday, but if he were to go all out, it would probably be when he's less busy and free.

i see the both of you having a little spa date with each other. like he would do your skincare and your hair if you gave him the permission to.

let me tell you right now, this man, has lived for several millennia, was outright confused and a bit more pissed at society. sure he knows that at some point that there would be a standard, but to this extent? to the point where some people cannot help but feel terrible about themselves?

he's pissed but he tries to make it up to you. why? because he's worried that the words he told you wasn't enough.

he knows that you deserve a lot more so he'll try his best to tell you that you're perfect the way you are.

A/N :

To be honest with you it's not the poly relationship part that were the harder to write but more the modern AU context, I personally think I suck at AU and try to avoid them, I even started to think that maybe I should put it in the canon verse but I ended up by giving it a try

You started the year at college just like any other, class, work, a part time job to pay the bills of the apartment you lived in

And in some of your class 2 boys came from time to time, one that were usually so quiet that if it wasn't for his fan club ans his beauty you wouldn't notice he was there

And an other one, a literal class clown, always singing, making jokes, popular for going at all the parties, sometime even coming drunk in class

They were major in an other domain from yours, you just happened to have some class together like languages class

And you ended up being with both of them on a group project, the two boys were almost always thinking about the same thing, at this point it wasn't a trio but a duo and you were the other person

But more month passed by and your part time job weren't enough anymore to pay everything

You looked more and more exhausted and even if you weren't particularly friends, venti, as you now call him, asked you what was wrong

It immediately took xiao's attention too and so you told them about your personal problem

Venti is a simple guy and as such has simple solution, he immediately asked if you wanted to live in a collocation with him and xiao

They said they had a spare room and it'll be easier for everyone to divide the bill in three

You accepted immediately, they were nice and problem were starting to accumulate, it was a one time chance

In a few weeks you packed your bag and ended up at their place who were now yours too

Xiao didn't came out of his room much, unless for dinner and lunch with you and venti, but venti however was always with you to make sure you were getting used to the environment

You also noticed that the room xiao and venti had was one and only room, always in the dark for xiao's gaming and venti's hangover

After passing some time with venti alone he started to like, but more as a friend should, he talked with xiao who told him that he doesn't mind if venti wanted to date you too, his only condition was to never play favorite with either of you so nobody would be sad

Venti accepted and soon enough asked you on a date

You told him yes to not seems rude but you thought it was at first not really fair for xiao, without knowing the deal between them

During the date venti explained that xiao accepted that he would be in a poly relationship with you, which surprised you, even if he was nice xiao didn't seemed like a very social person, but you said venti you could give it a try

Date after date you became really attached to venti, and soon enough xiao joined too

You were venti's partner and venti were xiao's boyfriend, that's how it worked

But once as the three of you played truth and dare venti dared xiao to kiss you

You were embarassed, but xiao really wasn't and with your consent he kissed you

The game continued and then xiao choose truth

Venti told him to answer what xiao thought of you

He simply responded that he liked you more than he thought he would, and that if you were okay with it he wanted you to also be in a relationship with him

You asked him some time because it wasn't something you thought would hapmen and that night venti stayed in xiao's room to calm him down because he thought he ruined something

The next morning when the three of you took breakfast together you said nothing to xiao, but by the kiss on his lips you gave venti and him he knew that now the three of you mutually belonged to each others

All your lunch were now taken together, you presented your two boyfriends to your friends and even if for xiao it was loud to meet new people he put up with it for you

The go to cuddle position is when you're in the middle, venti hugging you, head against your chest and xiao spooning you, it's nice and warm in winter but in summer it's a literal torture

And usually dates night inside your shared apartment are spent either playing video games on xiao's console/computer or watching a movie venti selected himself, when it's yojr turn to choose however you can make these two men do absolutely whatever you wanted of them

Venti is affectionate anytime possible and don't care about pda but the most you'll get out of xiao outside of your home is sitting on his lap or holding his hands

But even then he'll be blushing, this guy here didn't even believed he was able to get venti as a boyfriend with how awesome he was, but when he was finally able to get you too he lost it

Xiao and venti even if they used to cuddle together are still touch starved, give a peck on venti's cheek and he'll ask for 20 more, caress xiao's hair and he'll lean into it as if his life depends on it

Even if venti like to party study night date are a thing, venti just do his things while xiao and you are reading your notes

And sometime when venti go to a party and let xiao and you alone you know better than to go out to watch a movie or go to a restaurant, you know full well that venti can and will go drunk until black out and diluc, who's the host of most party against his will, will call the two of you to come pick him up

You still love him though

And since marriage for three persons aren't a thing where you live you decided that instead of having only two of you getting married and the last one being left out you would make a similar ceremony with your family and friends but this time there is 3 rings and it's not official with the government

That one was venti's idea too
