IF there was a different way of getting the Raw Magic without eating eggs(or hurting other dragons) who would go for it and who would just keep eating eggs?

Who Would Stay:

Matthias. He would do everything in his power to keep the others by his side...

Rannoch. Not only does she have that oath of loyalty to Matthias, but she also enjoys the thrill and risk of battle. Opponents fight with more ferocity when their most precious possession is on the line. The spoils of these battles are always sweeter.

Khoga. She wouldn't leave until her current studies were finished. This new source of Raw Magic would be an invaluable source of information, though! If it could be collected, she would begin a whole new set of experiments, probably making life a little busier for the Egg Gang.

Who Would Leave:

Okira. The only obstacle here would be gaining enough independence to pull away from the group. He'd need to dig deep to find the courage to stand up to Matthias!

On the Fence:

Evuviate "Via". So far, Egg Eating has kept her scale-condition at bay. She would most likely stay by Khoga's side, seeing as Khoga is the one in charge of developing/testing Via's medicines(which are developed from Dragon Eggs). Fear of her illness is her main character motive, so she's going to go with whatever option makes her feel more secure.

I feel like everyone just forgets that the egg-eaters are currently prisoners in your clan. So how'd that happen? How'd they get found out, how'd they get captured? What do the guards/dragons on charge plan on doing with them? What are they currently doing with them?

These are excellent questions. I've been trying to decide whether it's wise to answer them...I don't want to give away how they were captured just yet, as I'm still working on a project that details the specifics of their capture. It has the potential to be a really exciting moment in their lore, and I want to do it justice.

On the timeline, the most current event is that they have been captured. This was done mostly to have my main clan interact with them, flesh out the Talosian Kingdom via the addition of a prison system, and MOSTLY to help make sense of why I have a group of non-Talosian Cannibals in my otherwise pretty chill lair. Much of what I post regarding them actually occurs in the years before said capture.

There's an older ask that details how the Elite Council feels regarding the Egg Gang, and the decisions they have to make. For example, a few members are adamant on executing them, while several others want to rehabilitate and/or study them. That might answer a few of your last questions HERE.

I fiddled around with the concept of having guards in the prison and having them interact, but I feel it better to focus on their lives before capture for now. No sense skipping all the way to the end, right?

I like how airy and fruity Light and Wind Eggs can be. Khoga's even found a way to age them into a drink so I have a backup supply in case we can't find any eggs. If I don't think about it, I can imagine I'm drinking a fizzy fruit juice instead of...y'know..."

Khoga: " You want to know our favorites? Why haven't I thought of that? It needs to be implemented into my studies immediately! Each subject's distinct flavor preference could possibly be indicators of their internal m- Oh- Oh, your answer? I don't have a favorite when it comes to raw materials, but here's something I adore...

Has anyone ever opened an egg and found a hatchling inside? If so what happened? If not what would they do?

I love that Undertale Animation so much. But I can't help but chuckle knowing that he's being such a hard ass but we all know where they end up. I feel like after it goes black, there should be a "Always sunny in Philadelphia' type of title screen with the text "The Egg Eaters get their ass kicked"
