Among the five Knights, it was Danni who possessed the sharpest mind. A calm, reserved, and silent drake, Danni spent much of his youth reading extensively on anything and everything he could get his claws on. Yet, due to his warrior’s lineage he was often forced into swordsmanship training by his clan and berated for his bookish habits. “Books are for philosophers! The only thing a warrior should be reading is the movements of their enemies!” they would shout. Danni had had enough! It was high time the drake left, and so he did. Taking his blade for protection and a satchel filled with his favorite titles, he set off in search of his own path. One where his mind could be just as cutting as his blade.

Flights should have their own special gene associated with them (like they do dragon breeds)Salmon dragons for water flight would be SO cool.
hm do water dragons have to deal w fish illnesses or are they immune to them due to being. not fish.
So the deities are the bad guys.
This is the only way I’ve really been able to rationalize Flight Rising’s canon and I know it’s not a new conclusion, but I want to talk about it some.
The deities are the bad guys. They’re the villains. Not because they fight the shade but because they are written to be incredibly selfish. They have this incompetence to them that borders on childish and some kind of inability to consider the wants or needs of anyone around them.
There’s an alternate timeline somewhere in which they emerged from slumber and adopted the life that was already there. There was an entire world full of people they ignored and consequently destroyed in favor of making dragons for themselves.
And not even those dragons are exempt from this, railroaded into a single purpose and pushed into combat with both each other and the remnants of the world they replaced.
Windsinger can mess around with the jet streams without once thinking of the consequences. Icewarden seems to have made the Gaolers without the ability to tell him ‘no’ which is phenomenal. Gladekeeper and Plaguebringer endlessly bicker with each other on a grand scale and cause shortage of destruction.
They are sentient concentrations of magical power who learned far too late that they’re not the only living things on the planet. I suppose one could take the current age as an opportunity… for their draconic children to either teach them empathy, or rise above them.
The Eleven can’t help you now!!
Was reading through the Flight Rising encyclopedia entry on Coatl and I just couldn’t resist doing this.
No regrets.
Thinking about it, would throwing a light egg at the ground have the same effect as a flashbomb? I really feel like if you threw one on the ground hard enough all that elemental magic would explode out on impact and blind any non light dragons in the area. Same with lightning eggs although the flash would be a little dimmer and it would most likely be more effective as some sort of tazer?
Ok so this is a great idea anon. I was researching flashbombs and it turns out that not only does the flash cause blindness, but the sound of the explosion can also cause deafness and tinnitus(which can sound like constant ringing or whooshing in your ears). Disturbing the elemental energy within an egg by throwing it could have similar effects, though given that the egg also contains organic matter, I would assume that instead of a temporary flash there would be a constant, blinding brightness exuded from the remains of the egg.
Light eggs themselves have a very glassy shell which I assume can shatter into deadly shrapnel upon the initial explosion, making these extra deadly.

The tazer idea is awesome, but for some reason it conjures up the thought of lightning eggs being used as defibrillators, and that’s pretty darn funny

I’m obsessed with her colors! KoiKoi’s profession as a spice merchant is beginning to take hold in the Talosian Markets, much to her glee! Her blends are experimental, adding an otherworldly flare to cuisine.
Much of the attention comes from her side business procuring and producing unique patters onto Koi fish. Elegant black latice on pure white, ghostly fins, metallic gold and silver key, and fiery calico patterns are her most popular types of Koi to sell.
It’s a bit of an inside joke that it’s her hobby keeping her career afloat and not the other way around!
