:D :D You Said It! Rails-reads Really Captures The Energy Of Each Poem, Even Better Than I Could Have
:D :D You said it! rails-reads really captures the energy of each poem, even better than I could have imagined! Such raw emotion in his voice! I’m so thankful to this talented person, please check them out!
Part 2 of SolAurii’s journey through Sornieth, immortalized in poetry! This one really ramps up the emotion into fascinating places–the sorts of thing I love to try, but never get the opportunity to. Part 3 coming, you guessed it, tomorrow!
Just like before, this was written by (and belongs to) LordTalos on FR, or @hypergryph here on Tumblr. Want to read more or submit your own work to be read here? Check out the links below!

:’) They did it! Oh my goodness I’m overjoyed! Rails-reads’ voice is truly something to behold. I can’t wait to hear the next two parts.
Wahoo, user-submitted Flight Rising content! This is the introduction and first three poems in a series written by the legendary knight SolAurii, which serve as a chronicle of his journeys through each of the elemental flights. I’m splitting this into three parts for easier listening–expect the next part tomorrow!
This was written by (and the characters belong to) LordTalos/@hypergryph! This was a real blast to do, and I can’t wait to share the next two parts. Check the links in the reblog for their pages, and where you can submit your own work for me to read!
So the deities are the bad guys.
This is the only way I’ve really been able to rationalize Flight Rising’s canon and I know it’s not a new conclusion, but I want to talk about it some.
The deities are the bad guys. They’re the villains. Not because they fight the shade but because they are written to be incredibly selfish. They have this incompetence to them that borders on childish and some kind of inability to consider the wants or needs of anyone around them.
There’s an alternate timeline somewhere in which they emerged from slumber and adopted the life that was already there. There was an entire world full of people they ignored and consequently destroyed in favor of making dragons for themselves.
And not even those dragons are exempt from this, railroaded into a single purpose and pushed into combat with both each other and the remnants of the world they replaced.
Windsinger can mess around with the jet streams without once thinking of the consequences. Icewarden seems to have made the Gaolers without the ability to tell him ‘no’ which is phenomenal. Gladekeeper and Plaguebringer endlessly bicker with each other on a grand scale and cause shortage of destruction.
They are sentient concentrations of magical power who learned far too late that they’re not the only living things on the planet. I suppose one could take the current age as an opportunity… for their draconic children to either teach them empathy, or rise above them.

I’m obsessed with her colors! KoiKoi’s profession as a spice merchant is beginning to take hold in the Talosian Markets, much to her glee! Her blends are experimental, adding an otherworldly flare to cuisine.
Much of the attention comes from her side business procuring and producing unique patters onto Koi fish. Elegant black latice on pure white, ghostly fins, metallic gold and silver key, and fiery calico patterns are her most popular types of Koi to sell.
It’s a bit of an inside joke that it’s her hobby keeping her career afloat and not the other way around!

Finally hearing your lore in podcast form like-

Nulii and KoiKoiChive are passionate merchants in the Talosian Kingdom, both deeply enamored with each other’s specialties. While Nulii manages his deli and pelt shop, KoiKoi perfects her patented spice-blends and her uniquely patterned koi fish.
They often have little get togethers to test out the deliciousness of particularly new and untasted meats or faraway foreign herbs. These meetings are top secret, of course!
