Also what do each of the flight’s elemental eggs taste like you think?

Oh, this is a great question, let's see... I'll describe their tastes

Earth Egg- Overpowering flavor and bold taste, with a smooth feel. The ancient magic within has a subtle sweetness to it going down. (Most like- Dark Chocolate and hard liquor)

Wind Egg- Like nothing at first, then slowly adopts a fresh citrus flavor that tickles your tongue. Breathing air over your tongue strengthens the tastes. (Most like- Fruit Teas and Citrus)

Water Egg- The flavors are sour and very fishy, and the texture is very soft. It pleasantly curls your tongue. (Most like- Roast Eel and seaweed)

Fire Egg- Savory and bitter, like ash-laden drippings from a charred steak. There's heat that comes from no source in particular that threatens to burn your tongue. (Most like-Steak broth and Meat drippings.)

Ice Egg- There's little taste, instead simply cooling your mouth. There's a hint of something soft and gamey...rabbit maybe? (Most like- rabbit, or simply ice)

Arcane Egg- This flavor changes every time, though it often resembles the eater's favorite desserts. It usually has an intoxicating effect. (Most like- Baked sweets and Pastry puffs)

Light Egg- It has a light and airy feel at first, then blossoms into a myriad of sweet and tart flavors. A fizzing, popping sensation occurs upon swallowing. (Most like- Sparkling juice and honey)

Shadow Egg- Overwhelmingly tart, but dazzlingly sour. The flavor of the shadow magics within seem to have taken you by surprise. ( Most like- Lime juice and sour candies)

Lightning Egg- It's obviously not carbonated but the sensations are the same, much stronger even. Your tongue and throat begin to feel awfully numb...Perhaps you've had enough? (Most like- Carbonated Lidocaine)

Nature Egg- It's like swallowing the spice drawer. Blends of complex flavors clash and war between your teeth, from the delicate tastes of vanilla to the white hot spice of peppers. Unlike the chaos of flavor, the texture is consistently smooth and soft, like the inside of a coconut. You need to lie down after this. (Most like- Herbs and spices. All of them. All at once.)

Plague Egg- Absolutely fucking vile. Your tongue hates you...Or does it? A lingering bitter-sweet flavor calls you back for more?? (Most like- Black coffee and Sauerkraut)

sorry if this has been answered before but I don't have the mental energy to try and go looking - how does egg eating affect dragons? I'm both just generally curious, and have a lore idea (and if I go through with said lore idea, may I share it?)

It’s not possible to predict the effects that egg-eating has in any one dragon. However, the changes that have been recorded can be traced back to the elemental magic within the egg reacting with the dragon’s own, unique magical energy, causing a sort of warping of that energy. The results of this can manifest in any number of ways, from acquiring strange powers, to horrid ailments, to having no physical change at all. The mental state of the dragon is also a factor in how their effects manifest, but little is really known about how this works.

Okira’s Condition:

The powers gained from egg eating are not without their faults. Everything has a price, and for the power of immortality the price is far too steep.

Okira suffers from withdrawals should he go too long without elemental Magics. The week or so before an imminent withdrawal isn’t so bad. He feels no appetite nor thirst, and experiences waves of tiredness and fatigue. You might even find that his focus isn’t as sharp is it could be. Usually this would just result in a bit of weight loss and much more time asleep, but It’s when his condition is allowed to progress that things take a turn for the worse.

Physically his body goes haywire. Waves of Nausea and spikes of adrenaline compete and clash within his body, muscles tense and shake with little regard for control, and his vision swims as he loses his sense of balance. Mentally, Okira is caught in a whirl of emotions: Overwhelming anxiety, fear and apprehension, fierce anger, and a deep despair. Half out of his head, he often wounds himself, and those who attempt to help are put in danger themselves. With an undying body, this lasts indefinitely…or until he consumes another dragon egg…
