CODA (child of deaf adults) reader x Inumaki Toge

When you met Toge for the first time, you were puzzled as to why he spoke in only onigiri ingredients. Then Yuuta explained that Toge was a cursed speech user, and chose to speak like that so that he wouldn’t accidentally use cursed speech on anyone.

You admired Toge for this choice, as it must have been extremely difficult to not be able to communicate how he wanted. As a last ditch effort, you offered to teach him sign language. Everyone questioned why you knew sign, and you explained that your parents were deaf, and you always communicated in sign at home.

Toge was bewildered, he had never considered sign as an option. He quickly agreed, and so you started teaching him. Maki, Panda, and Yuuta quickly joined your lessons too, wanting to learn so they could easily understand Toge. That, and it was a valuable skill to have.

They were slow, but you were patient. You taught them the basics, and they ran with it. You constantly saw them spelling to each other in sign. During classes, during training, they even decided to have certain letters mean certain things in battle so they could communicate with each other without giving away anything to an intelligent curse, or a curse user.

Inumaki was enamored with you to start. In fact, he was a little disappointed when Yuuta, Maki and Panda joined your little lessons, as it meant less alone time with you. He was thrilled they wanted to support him and learn to communicate in a new way, but a little disappointed nonetheless.

Eventually, Toge asked for additional lessons, without the others. At first you were confused, but Toge typed out that he was just interested and wanted to learn more, faster. That much was true, but it wasn’t the whole truth. It was really an excuse to spend more time with you.

Toge picked up sign very quickly, and soon enough, you were having fluent conversations with him in sign. It delighted Toge to be able to have an almost normal conversation for the first time in a long time.

If Toge hadn’t been in love with you when he first met you, he certainly was now.

It's hilarious that Wade was 100% ok with Logan being shirtless while they were alone but when they walked out and other people were staring too he was like "cover yourself up". Bro was jealous 😭😭😭😭
