High school advice ♡

Hey hey!! School is around the corner, so the start of my school content lol! Anyways, this post applies for any grade level!

It’s much more chill than middle school

Join clubs, events, and/or sports (I regret not doing or participating in anything)

Don’t do anything you’re uncomfortable with (duh) nobody cares about what anyone is doing, so don’t try to act cool

If your school has dual enrollment/college credit classes, do it!! Saves time and money when you go to college (I also regret not doing this)

Have school spirit. It’s not going to kill you

Choose friends wisely. High chance you’re going to be stuck with them into your adult life lol

Don’t pressure yourself to do well academically. Have fun. You’re only a teen once

Get a job as soon as possible!!

Talk to your teachers! Be a teacher’s pet lol. It’ll help

Speaking of which, don’t be afraid to ask for help for anything

Don’t overdo it on school supplies. Everything is pretty much online now (save money)

Don’t skip class too much. It’ll affect you graduating (at least in my school)

um. locked in my own head again. does anyone have The Password

Made another personal blog!! Didn’t know the ‘ask’ feature was on side blogs lol!

I was getting tired of logging off and logging in on two accounts (andddd changing color palettes every time)

I relate to your post so hard! My interests are super mixed and I feel like it’s hard to find other people like that because they are trying to only like things in the aesthetic that they saw on Pinterest or that their friends are

Yeah, the aesthetic epidemic suckssss!! It never gets easier to find people with the same interests 😖 Especially if you’re shy, butttt the more uncomfortable and the more socializing you do, the better you get at it!

The internet def helps though. If there are people on the internet with the same interests, there are bound to be people nearby with the same interests. Just have to (unfortunately) find them!

Also, sometimes people hide who they really are as well. Maybe your friends have the same interest(s) as you and you don’t know it! Maybe they’re embarrassed? I used to hide that I played video games for YEARS and liking things from the 2010s for like 3 years now, but now I’m not ashamed #yolo. Also only like 1-2 of my friends know that I journal 🙈

Hopefully one day your friends stop trying to be who they are not, and become who they truly want to be! <3

Edit: it’s also completely okay if your friends don’t like everything you like! You guys are friends for a reason! 🧘‍♀️💖
