Do you have a favourite Shellington moment or episode?
oohohhoh golly I can't pick just one xD
I've got four favourite Shellington episodes đ here's my list (in no particular order);
Number 1: The Jellyfish Bloom.

Shellington technically doesn't actually do much in this episode đ but it's still a Shellington episode because the plot is everyone else trying to rescue himâand that's why I love it so much!! Everyone is so worried about Shellington being by himself and getting hurt, and they're all so happy to see him again đđđ it makes me feel so soft and fluffy inside <33
Number 2: The Immortal Jellyfish.

The Best Shellington Episode Ever Perhaps?????? The autism is so obvious in this episode lol /pos
He's SO excited about the Immortal Jellyfish that he sounds the Octo-alert by himself, and the rest of the Octonauts have like. no idea what's going on. but they're all smiling at Shellington because he's so happy and they love him and and and aaaaaaaAA and I like how Barnacles, Kwazii, and Peso try to keep Shellington at least a little bit calm, without directly telling him to calm down. They're happy he's excited! But they also don't want him to get hurt so they're like "Don't worry! We're keeping him safe! Take your time!" AND I LOVE TUNIP IN THIS EPISODE SO MUCH. he loves his fatherâ˘.
Number 3: Baby Sea Turtles.

I really appreciate him Taking Charge⢠in this episode. He doesn't even hesitate. The sea turtles are in danger, and he's the only one who knows how to help, and he's like "okay okay guys here's the sitch-" and starts ordering Barnacles and the rest of the crew around without even flinching. The crew doesn't argue or have ANY complaints about it either, because they respect Shellington and know that he knows exactly what he's doing. Shellington may be a very clumsy character, but he's also very smart and responsible, and this episode shows that side of him very well. Very good episode for him overall, 10/10. Love the confidence.
Number 4: The Hidden Lake.

Look at him. what a nerd :) He's so happy and excited in this episode it's great :)) also very autismy. The entire purpose of their mission was "help Shellington find creatures" and I love when they do that lol. I have a headcanon that Shellington has more leeway than he actively usesâmainly just bc he was one of the original Octonauts and Barnacles really likes him, so, y'know-. He gets to call for and initiate missions and occasionally take charge/give orders. He rarely gets into trouble unless he's actively putting himself in danger. When Shellington wakes everyone up with the Octo-alert, Barnacles isn't even a LITTLE upset at him for going back down and getting lost; he's just glad he's okay and even impressed that he found creatures after all.
honourable mentions đď¸đď¸:
red rock crabs
devil's hole pupfish
operation co-operation
bowhead whales
*cough* most s5 moments *cough*

Strange used to be acquainted with this kind of eventsâmostly receiving recognition in his field, with the night ending with him bringing to his flat another plaque of his achievement. He would put it away with the others he received within his years as a neurosurgeon; a cabinet separated from the one containing his awards from his school and university years. His flat wasnât a home, more like a container of his statements as a successful individual.
Successful, but never satisfied.
That evening, he wasnât given anything shiny that would become a dust gatherer, nobody calling him at the stage to give a brief speech that was never sincere.
What he got was a hall full of people of all kindsâagents, royalties of Wakanda and of Asgard, a merry band of space travelers, the recently reunited Avengers, and of course, some people from the government. He saw Wong a while ago, and Strange came with Christine but she was separated from him when she recognized a Wakandan medic who she had worked with during and after the war.
In a place filled with heroes, the honor of being part of the protector of Earth was more gratifying than any of Stangeâs huge trophies.
He was contented to be situated alone by a window where mostly didnât recognize him without his get up and cloak. He was sure Christine would find it uncharacteristic, but then again she didnât know that he was just good at keeping up faces and pretending to be attentive in conversations that he seldom liked.
Strange was secretly enjoying the prospect of spending the evening lulled with a pleasant background noise when there was a yell not far.
âFriend wizard!â a voice bellowed, and if it was who Strange thought, he didnât want to turn around.
Unfortunately, the call seemed to have attracted the attention of those nearby.
âPrince Thor,â Strange said to the person who came to him. For a hulking blonde with cropped hair and a single eye, the prince didnât fail to appear like an overgrown child with an enthusiastic beam.
âItâs King Thor now, actually,â Thor correctly softly. âBut Iâm Thor to any friend of mine.â He grinned. âAnd youâre a friend and a fellow hero, friend wizard.â
âItâs Strange, actually.â
Thor frowned. âWhat is?â
Strange recognized that Thor calling him by his name was a battle he couldnât win. He shook his head.
âWhy are you not partaking in the celebration? You deserve to be honored as much as most of the people here. Come, Iâll introduce you to the Guardians.â
Unceremoniously, Strange was dragged and introduced around a group of five peopleâsix, if you counted the tree-like person, which maybe he should given that he counted the talking raccoon as a person. According to Thor, they were the one who brought him back to Earth after the Asgardians bumped against their ship. It helped that the leader of their team, the one they call Star Lord, was originally from Earth.
They were certainly the most diverse.
âDoctor Strange. Pleasure.â
âAnd this is the wizard friend I was telling you about. The person who lead me to my father when he went missing,â was Thorâs way of introducing Strange to the Guardians.
Star Lord, who for someone who hasnât been in the face of earth for a long time, knew proper decorum and offered his hand which Strange shook. The woman with antennas was looking at Strange curiously and gave a small smile. The tree-like person said the same line over and over about who he was. The green woman beside Star Lord nodded curtly. Then there was the talking raccoon and another male alien with grey skin and odd markings fighting over a plate of sushi which Thor merely laughed at.
Strange allowed his mouth to quirk amusedly. Well, it wasnât a common sight after all.
Thor took it upon himself to maneuver them both in the crowd, introducing Strange to anybody who might not recognize him without his billowing cape (Thorâs own words). Strange relented without a word, seeing as the Asgardian looked as if he was having fun being a guide.
The last person Thor steered him to was the king of Wakanda, the Black Panther. Thorâs posture became straighter and more formal at the presence of another royalty. Another king at that. Thor was more of a commoner when in the company of his close circle. King T'Challa on the other hand retained his air of a king that commanded respect without making one feel inferior to him. They were both respectable people and rightful kings in their own way. Strange appreciated the rare moment to be in the presence of the two.
âDoctor Strange,â King T'Challa said, much to Strangeâs surprise on being recognized easily, as he shook his hand. âI heard many good things about you.â
Strange was suddenly glad for the heavy pats Thor gave him.
âPart of duty,â he murmured.
King T'Challa seemed to remember something for a moment. He turned to his left, where a man was standing close. An agent, if Strange was right.
âThis is Agent Ross. He had been a colleague before Wakanda opened to the United Nations. And now heâs a trusted friend of mine,â the Black Panther added fondly.
After the brief exchange of names, the two kings went on in a conversation away from Strange and Agent Ross, leaving them both unsure what to do.
âThe God of Thunder certainly knows how to mingle,â came an offhanded comment from the agent.
âMust be the life of parties at Asgard,â Strange replied absently.
âWill not be surprised. King T'Challa doesnât mind though.â
Strange nodded. âThey must have found some common ground.â
Rossâ eyebrows shot up. âIâve been to Wakanda for a few days. They donât seem to be the partying bunch.â
âWhat? No, Iâoh, youâre laughing.â
âSorry, canât help it,â Ross said after he recomposed himself. âGood mood brought by victory.â
Strange perfectly understood what he meant. He wasnât a life of events but there was something pleasant in the air making him feel light.
âOh, I havenât thanked you yet personally, have I?â Ross said. âIâm a pilot of one of those aircrafts that crashed. You transported us on time into somewhere safe.â
Strange vague remembered that as he was in the middle of a heated battle with some of the Chitauri. He recalled bits of it such as men falling from some burning ship, in parachutes but at the clear line of sight of fire. It was an accidental sort of magic Strange called out of desperation to save them as much as he could. He didnât even know where the portal they fell on led to.
âDid I landed you all safely?â
âOh, yes. A few miles away but those mattresses were soft. Not really complaining.â Ross chuckled.
Strange blinked, perplexed. âMattresses?â
âYou landed us on a supermarket. Particularly on the mattresses department.â
âI did?â Strange was more surprised hearing that. âThat wasâŚâ
âQuick thinking,â Ross supplied. âIt was amazing, Doctor Strange, and we thank you for saving our lives back there.â
Strange offered a polite smile, only to hide the odd sensation he has. âYouâre welcome, Agent Ross.â
âEverett, if you will, Doctor.â
âYou can drop the doctor then. Strange, or Stephen if you will,â Strange absently said in return, completely forgetting that he used to correct the people who forgot his title of doctor.
âStrange, huh.â
âSo is your name, if you donât mind me pointing it out. Isnât Everett a female name?â Strange mentally flinched at his lack of tact. And he even let his mouth ran on without understanding what Ross meant.
Ross didnât seem offended though, but rather wearing a grin and a spark of something akin to recognition in his eyes.
âIt is,â Ross admitted. âIâm sorry, this is going to sound strangeâno pun intendedâbut have we met before?â
Strange raised an eyebrow.
Rossâ cheeks colored a bit. âAh, no. Thatâs not a pickup line or⌠just curious. Itâs like Iâve met you since before the war.â
There was a sudden flash, too quick for Strange to make it out clearly but caught a few visions of Ross in a much casual clothes with a sandy brown and grey hair; with a limp that was gone in the next frame; him running in handcuffs connected to somebody else; him carrying a little girl and handing her to another man.
Strange had no idea what he saw, and yet there was an inkling of familiarity that didnât took him by surprise. Instead he was met with clarity. Like he finally has something he was looking for.
âIt does seems like Iâve met you before too.â
Somehow, it sounded like the most accurate statement he ever said.
