Currently re-watching Food Wars. And here's my reaction to the first two episodes of S1:

Ep1: So, first off - the main antagonist of episode 1 is a woman who wants to buy the restaurant, so they can tear it down and build something bigger and "more modern" in the same space.

And this (supposedly) functional adult, instead of approaching Soma's dad - aka the actual owner of the restaurant - she has a pissing contest with his 15 y/o son.

And in the end, she vandalizes the place, commits the crime of breaking and entering and destroying the meat supply for at least the next three days. And THEN she eats there for FREE - when the restaurant was supposed to be closed, might I add - and walks away scot-free??

Like, excuse me?? How do I sue in the owner's name??

Ep2: This episode has me wanting to call the child protection services of this universe...

So, Soma's dad leaves his 15 year old son on his own and flys out to America, and he'll stay there for the next 2-3 years.

And the fact that Soma is more worried about the restaurant closing than his dad leaving him on his own for the next couple of years??

That (to me) screams child endangerment/previous neglect people!

I'm currently watching Shokugeki no Souma and I'M IN LOVE WITH SOUMA like wth!? I never go all fangirl mood on main characters but he's PERFECT.

Literally he could be my very first favorite character who's a protagonist :"D He has the bread ngl
