Those vampires simply hated anyone that was DIFFERENT than them with no compassion for anyone else but their own kind. Father didn't deserve to be treated the way that they had been.

He paused, unsure if he should take him up on the offer or not, though the company would be nice - he was also quite aware of how much Misha disliked vampires - and Garth could only imagine the mess he was currently in, having just fed. Which was why he was as shaken up as he currently was, the woman's memories having flooded his mind, her world of pain still replaying before his eyes, a weak sound heard as he walked over and curled up against the childs side. He really was pathetic, wasn't he? He shouldn't be selfish like this, he shouldn't be making Misha have to deal with some dumb vampire who couldn't even feed correctly, couldn't even voice his pain, other than the weak whimpers that would sometimes escape the back of his throat. He was so darn tired of all of this - but it was never going to stop, was it? The appearance of the ship made him think of his seafaring GRANDPA as well. Even if he knew by now that his Grandpa was not a seafarer but a TRAILBLAZER. Those two things were still pretty close !
