A reasonable request, but one that he wasn't too sure on just how to prove it. If he were in Misha's shoes, he'd be just as doubtful, especially when they'd both been through so much in the past. But, it wasn't like he had much a choice in what he now done. The Comte had saved him, when everyone else had left him for dead - he owned him his life...as hated as that happened to be at times.

He'd scribbled out the last few words as it seemed a little guilt trippy to him, a sigh instead heard as he gave a small shrug.

It was late, and with Vanitas not home yet it was their task to cook. They hummed lightly, stirring and adding some ingredients. They thought they were doing it like Vanitas had but maybe they had forgotten a few things. They took a taste, not making much of a face but not enjoying it.

A panicked glance falls behind them; settling upon the two vampires fighting it out with the current threat. In any other circumstance, he would have gladly went along with KILLING anything that hurt his brother. Now thoughㅤ—ㅤnow wasn't the time for the gratuitous violence.

He could barely move. No matter how much he tried to force his tired and broken body to just simply move, nothing was listening to him. In the distance, he could somewhat make out the sound of Jeanne and Noe fighting something, something that he should be helping them with, and yet all he could do was lay there in the snow, watching as more of the white was dyed steadily red, a shuddering breath let out as the cold started to settle in. At least he'd managed to protect Misha...that was all that really mattered right...though he did wish that his brother would stop looking at him with such fear in his eyes. This was hardly the worst state Vanitas had found himself in...he'd survive...he had to. But even now, it was getting harder and harder to keep his eyes open, his usual bright eyes already seeming to have dulled into a misty sort of grey.

But he didn't want to complicate the matter of bringing his FATHER back to life even further. He had even been been reluctant to bring Mademoiselle Domi into it. He didn't LIKE the idea nor did he like his ' caretaker 'ㅤ—ㅤbut in the very least, he knew that the man was REASONABLE enough to play along and let the woman on her way. The Comté probably wasn't going to be too happy with HIM though.

"Well, it's good you have someone that is supposed to be looking out for you, but I still wouldn't feel right letting you to wander back home on your own. That would make me irresponsible." Charlotte taps her chin in thought, tilting her head a bit. It wouldn't be too hard for her to escort him home and get back to the cafe without losing much time. Still, she wanted to make sure he was okay with her offering it since she was a stranger to him.
Deciding to be cautious was the best approach, and so she settled to lead into the offer after one or two questions. All this would depend on his answers of course, but she was ready to counter most excuses if she was given any. She was also ready to just safely shadow him if he lived nearby enough with one of her butterflies.
"My cafe isn't really on the more popular main thoroughfare, so I would at least like to know how far you'd be walking. Do you live close to here or far? If you live more than I few blocks I'd rather offer to escort you back." All it would take is one unlucky instance that would break any safety of his previous times going about the area himself. That was the burning worry that had her bothering to offer, alongside a desire to size up just who was in charge of this young boy.
She had a certain instinctual feeling that the boy was maybe lacking proper care. A feeling she really didn't want to overlook.

˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤHe would beckon his trusty dog over to his aid with a swift hand; leaping atop of her steel backside to follow the woman. Seeing the OTHER vampire continue to fight the beast however, he would turn back towards him.

Keep his eyes open. Right. He had to keep them open, he had to keep fighting, no matter how tempting that lull of sleep might currently be, he couldn't allow himself to rest, not until he'd finally finished what he'd set out to achieve, a raspy breath heard as he tries to focus on simply keeping his lungs breathing. The blood is sticky and uncomfortable against his side, yet his mind seems to focus more on the fact he'll need yet another new cloak after this - he should learn and start wearing something a little more functional.
"Misha!?", hearing his cry, Jeanne had managed to retreat to their side, her eyes widening at the sight of the two humans, the scent of blood almost rather overpowering, but she just about managed to hold onto her sense of control, "What happened!?", quickly, she lifted Vanitas' into her arms, "Let's get him some help....Noe can hold them off for now" "Go!", Noe shouted as though to confirm her words, Jeanne glazing at Misha, "Meet me at the hotel. I need to run at full speed - keep to the back streets".
And with that, she'd quickly vanished into the growing blizzard, leaving nothing but a few droplets of blood in her wake.
