He also finally became friends with Abe in the last episode, as he seemed to enjoy his company as they laughed over a game of checkers. Most characters on this show seem involved romantically/sexually, and gaining a wife or husband was embedded into their endgames, but Robert doesn’t show much of an interest towards anyone. Even when André expresses his woes of woman troubles to Robert, he uses this for his spy work of course but doesn’t seem to really empathize or have much of a reaction, same goes for when the redcoats at the tavern make comments about ladies. He doesn’t seem to show interest in any men either (I’m just speaking of what I’ve personally observed, though).
