Izumi grabbed onto the Uchiha’s arm as she struggled in his asphyxiating grasp, her face contorting in pain as she gasped for air that never came. As it turns out, her death may be in vain. If only she knew a name.

Suddenly, Itachi Uchiha, one of her childhood friends, appeared in her mind. In one of their previous conversations, he had mentioned a fellow member of the Anbu, Kakashi Hatake, and his teammates… Rin Nohara, the Three Tails Jinchuriki, and… That’s it!

Yandere Obito x Izumi PT 1

Obito stared at the woman sprawled at his feet, at his mercy, at his stroke of sheer luck. It was the night of the massacre. He flew through the police headquarters and severed a few heads of dozens of Uchiha clansmen, leaving decaying corpses to fester in his bloodied wake. His blade sung as it whistled through the dead of night, and the shrill screams that pierced the silence.. Aah it was deafening. A chorus of the dead rose to meet him as he swung left and right.

It was over in a matter of seconds.

Or so he thought.

He caught a stray jonin female straggler as he sauntered back out, flicking entrails off his sleeves. A woman. Long black silky hair, eyes as luminous as moon light. She flung shuriken at him and it was a brazen if not ridiculously flimsy move on her part. Not that he wouldn't have sensed her barely 6 feet form him. But an attempt to mask her presence would have been wiser.

Obito's chains flung out to seize her, before she even took a step. She was immediately ensnared by the heavy chains and he lifted his blade to decapitate her before he moved on to slaughter the children.

Obito paused.

He cocked his head and swiveled his sharingan to fixate on the woman desperately clinging to life on the ground.

His throat constricted and his mouth went dry..

Whether Izumi was brave or just plain stupid, the deed was done. The mask was gone and the once familiar dark Uchiha eyes were replaced with the crimson glow of the Sharingan.

If she could just work out who he was, her death wouldn’t be in vain. Thinking fast, she activated her own Sharingan and stood to defend herself.

“Rin? Who’s Rin? My name is Izumi Uchiha!”

She focused on the man’s chakra, his power, his next moves… But, she could hardly read much. Whoever this Uchiha man was, he was powerful… And furious. The anger and tension hanging in the air was so thick that Izumi could slice it with a kunai.

The sudden change of the man’s voice caught her off-guard. What in the world just happened? It was like the murderous fiend she was with 5 seconds ago just switched into a mere child! Who or what in the world was this guy?

“Tobi… Uchiha? No, I don’t know any Uchiha with that name. What’s your real name? Speak now, whoever you are!”

Hello Izumi, I have had a chance to speak to Itachi. But his reaction was not a positive one, at least in terms of the clan being restored. He has no wish to further the Uchiha line. I have failed Itachi and these days he's a stranger to me, despite my efforts to reach out to him. I do not know how to instill a sense of pride in Itachi, he would rather be Itachi of the Leaf, than an Uchiha. I've given up.
