I think one of the cool things about the poltergeist au (which I STILL trying to work out a coherent plot for) is that … they (Forrest and Peggy) control the radio. They can help George find away to speak. Maybe they play static. Maybe they put in a blank tape and let him record whatever he wants onto it. Maybe they just set up a ouija board and then broadcast the results live. Maybe George fucks with the record player if he gets mad and makes the song skip around to different lyrics to help explain his feelings. Maybe he can straight up just call in to the studio somehow.

Like imagine Forrest is playing music and all of a sudden the record just starts skipping and scratching and grinding and Forrest is like “all right George we are trying our hardest to help find out what happened to ya and how to get you justice but you need to sit tight because we can’t understand you right now”

And the song just keeps repeating

“I……… WANT MY…… FAMILY….”

And Forrest is like “you mean your parents? They’ve left town, buddy, they left a long time ago. Now please stop messing with the music it’s going to ruin the vinyl.”

And the record starts going haywire again , this time just repeating

“MY… FAMILY… MY… FAMILY… MY… FAMILY….”

And Forrest is like “YOUR family? Like, one you created?” And the song just goes

“MY BABY…. MY LOVE… WHERE… MY BABY….”

I think the reason I love the three Whistling Goofuses so much is because they all have FLOOOFY curly hair, just like me.

I also have very dark brown hair, so I can officially confirm that I have Marie, Henry and Eddie’s hair type.

For the record, it is an absolute pain to comb and wash. I HATE getting my hair wet, because there’s so much of it that it takes hours for it to dry on its own. It also is always soft, even if I don’t use shampoo or conditioner for months. Feel free to incorporate that into your headcanons however you wish! 💕

Often times fluffy hair is just curly hair that isn’t being taken care of. Ask me how I know lmao

I think Marie actually has curly hair like her sister but the curls are looser so they would only show up if she put effort into styling it, which obviously she doesnt.

Also, fluffy hair was in in the 80’s so she was right on trend

Tbh I headcanon Mooney as having straight blonde hair but that’s mostly because of the stereotypical 1950’s artwork that always portrays adult men as having the most shiny flaxen gold hair that’s always neatly cropped and I just like the inversion of that image into something monstrous. But as he loses it his hair gets longer cuz he doesn’t cut it. You’ll see what I mean soon enough lol

Au where George doesn’t die and also Peter and Kim don’t die and it’s basically just Grown Ups where they all get together after a bunch of years raising their kids and they just get into trouble and rag on Teddy etc etc
