KUNIGAMI starts singing quietly to some of the songs from your playlist that is playing in your car when he thinks that you've fallen asleep. You have, in fact, not fallen asleep and you’re trying to keep a straight and sleeping face while leaning your head against the window. Of course he’s not the most talented singer but somehow… it doesn’t sound that bad either. Yes, he's missing a few notes, maybe even a few too many notes. But listening to the unusually soft and light voice of his is still comforting because it’s his voice. Because he never fails to show you how simple love can be. How easily you can find traces of the love you share for each other in such mundane situations and instantly think "Wow, I want to kiss you so bad". And when you feel his hand settle on your thigh, his fingers lightly drumming to the beat of the song, you eventually feel yourself slipping for real into dreamland.

Knowing what we know now about Ego and Noa's past relationship, this whole "Turning Kunigami into another Noa" thing has a way more twisted and selfish lens to it then it did previously. Noa has said previously that this whole thing is really just another way for Ego to try and beat his former rival by any means necessary, even if that means genetically altering a teenage boy to be just like him "But better".

And I really think a part of the reason that Kunigami is struggling so hard is because Ego deliberately told him to get rid of his own ego, and then threw him to the wolves without anything to help him.

Kunigami has nothing now and is basically just running on pure vibes. He wanted Kunigami to just be completely devoid of who he was previously so he could emulate Noa to perfection, but it's backfired obviously. People are a lot more complicated then that.

I think it's simply that Ego doesn't really understand Noa on that kind of level, and so he had no idea what kind of ego the number 1 striker even holds, or what drives him. And that makes sense, considering Noa is such a patient and reserved man. We've only seen him get visibly angry ONCE this entire manga and it was when Isagi went against his orders, and begged to have Hiori in.

But Noa himself isn't really that complicated in my opinion, it's just the "why" of his actions that elude Ego.

GUYS, I'm absolutely destroyed and shaken by this song -- it's one of the best fucking anime raps I've ever seen. Bachira- a park/picnic/star gazing

I chose a park for a picnic/ star gazing date cause that means this dude can run wild HAHAHAH like he can sprint around the park with his never ending energy and have you and him be the only ones there 

A park is also the best place where he could show off all his new tricks that he learned from blue lock

He adores the fact that you support him in wanting to be a pro athlete and is always happy to look at his new moves <3

When it comes to the picnic date itself he LOVES it when you feed him you’re cooking that you brought. He will always tell you how amazing your cooking is. 

Would feed you sweets to be all romantic<3 but then would probably smother food in your face cause he’s a menace at heart 

Both of you could sit and talk for HOURS about you day, he loves to hear about yours and he loves to tell you about his time in blue lock. he can’t get enough of you <3

He will definitely TRY to teach you some of his soccer techniques. If you ever pulled one off he would go CRAZY. “ Meg look! I did it” he would proceed to pick you up and spin you around “that’s my girl”<3

Rin would chose an aquarium cause its more intimate and he prefers to have a private date with you cause he would probably lose his mind if he saw any of the blue lock boys during your date HAHAHA

He would also find looking at all the fish and other aquatic animals very calming 

Rin would constantly be touching you in some way, either holding your hand or his arm around your waist, he is a very protective man<3

He would buy you food or drinks without even asking, he’s a very attentive person so he would already know what you like and he would just put them in your lap without saying anything 

He’s not fan of PDA at all but holding hands or holding you close to him is okay. He would malfunction for a few seconds if you do decide to give him a kiss<3

Would obviously go to every part of the aquarium just so he could spend more time with you 

Would just sit and watch the fishes swim by and would hold you close. He finds these types of dates the best as he can spend all day with you while you point out pretty looking fishes or turtles 

He isn’t the talking type so he is happy to just listen you talk about your day all day but he knows that you would be happy to listen to him if he wishes<3

Kunigami would take you to the beach, but like not during the day it would be early morning or late night when no one is around 

He honestly wouldn’t mind just sitting on the sand or go into the water as long as you’re happy <3

Is very gentlemen like outside of soccer and blue lock so he would always be asking if you’re okay and if you need anything 

He would get you ice cream so you could eat ice cream while watching the sunset together <3

Sometimes, days last longer than 24 hours. Kunigami felt that when he finally entered the house, closing the door behind him and crouching to take his shoes off. The exhaustion hit him like a truck, making him let out a long sigh. He hoped that in some way, it would call for you, and you would be coming with a little smile and sleepy eyes to lure him to bed. The thought itself was very tempting, so he dragged his feet in search for you, when there was no answer to his greetings.

He didn’t have to search for long. You already made yourself cozy under the blankets surrounded by way more pillows than you needed. You looked inviting with the steady motions of your calm breathing, a halo around your head made out of your hair and a serene expression. With the tiny fog that lashed his eyes, you might as well be an angel that dropped by to show him heaven. He leaned against the door frame, taking in your sleeping figure. He was happy you chose the bed instead of the couch, where other nights he would find you in a crooked position, waiting for his arrival. He always scolded you for torturing your poor spine like that, before picking you up to move you to the comfort of the mattress.

He laughed lightly, ripping himself from the doorframe with droopy eyes. He couldn’t nag you if he skipped his nightly routine, so he proceeded to the bathroom with heavy legs to do his usual tasks. It took longer than needed to wash his body, brush his teeth, put his clothes in the laundry. 10 minutes that felt like 10 thousand. Satisfied with his small achievement, Kunigami made his way back to the bedroom. You didn’t move an inch, still somehow occupying ¾ of the bed. He almost felt bad to move you aside, so he set on the margin of the bed, thinking how to proceed with his actions. The moment he laid on his back, bed dipping with his weight, you shifted in your slumber turning to the side.

Your back was facing him now. With your nape exposed, he couldn’t resist the urge to trace it, before placing a little kiss there. You hummed, as if greeting him. Even lost in your dreams you were so reactive to his touch. At this, Kunigami brought himself closer to you, dropping his arm around your waist and nuzzling the back of your neck. He was hoping you were dreaming about him. The sensation of your unusually clingy boyfriend woke you up.

“Sorry.” He mumbled half-asleep, sound muffled against your neck. You turned in his arms, brushing his bangs before peppering his forehead with kisses. “Did you brush your teeth?”, he asked in his daze. If you weren’t so tired, you would have burst out laughing. Even on the brink of dozing off he still sports the motherly behavior. “What will you do if I didn’t?” your teasing didn’t seem to affect him in any way. “I’ll come with you so you can brush your teeth.”, he hummed with his forehead resting on your shoulder, ghostly kneading at your waist. It got quite for a moment. Kunigami enjoyed nights like these the most. He felt oddly safe with your chin resting on the crown of his head, like there was nothing mean in this world. He relaxed like he was embraced by a goddess, receiving her blessings.

Your legs bent to rest on him, cold as always, seeking for warmth. “Did you wait long?”, his voice was raspy. You shook your head, basking in the heat that his body was emanating. You almost didn’t want to go back to sleep with your boyfriend cuddled against you. It was a rare sight to have him so eagerly seeking for your touch, for some comfort to lull him to dream land. The moment didn’t last long since nature was calling. You sat up, making a beeline to the toilet, walking with your eyes as closed as possible to not shake up the sleepiness. Kunigami stood on his elbow, confused by your actions. Getting out of bed, he met you in the doorway.

“What are you doing, Ren?”, you were equally as confused as him.

“I didn’t know where you were going.”, his reasoning made no sense.

“I went to brush my teeth.”, you laughed a little at your little lie. He didn’t process the joke, but all the more reason for you to tease him tomorrow.

“Let’s get back in bed.”, he said, tugging at you sleeve for you to follow him. Plopping on the mattress, you stretched a little before relaxing under the covers. Kunigami took the opportunity to drop himself over your form, action met by your protesting groan. He adjusted his position so that he wouldn’t asphyxiate you, head nuzzling in the side of your neck with his muscular leg trapping you underneath. You sighed, resisting the urge to have your little payback and tell him how crooked his spine must be.  

“You’re really adorable right now, Ren.”, your compliment was met with silence and with steady breaths. With this, you closed your eyes to catch some z’s, thinking about what face he will make tomorrow, when you will tell him the same remark.

“are you nervous?” kunigami asks, right in the drive way of his childhood home where his parents and sisters are waiting for the two of you. he’s adjusting your scarf - the soft white fabric tucked into your sweater and he pulls the strands of your curled hair out of it for you. you frown and play with the zipper of his puffer.

“of course i’m nervous - i am going to meet your family.” despite it almost being april, it’s still cold and there is still snow not yet melted. you can’t look in his eyes, face flushed from the cold and from your own embarrassment. it feels childish, like when you meet your new babysitter for the first time.

“what are you nervous about?” he asks with his hands - warm, tan and large settling on your cheeks. it’s hard not to melt into the floor when you feel his thumb rub the skin of your cheek so soothingly, so sweetly. keeping your gaze on the payment you finally speak.

“i just want them to know that you are taken care of. what if they don’t like that you’re dating a foreigner? and what if,” you pause to swallow - the words feel like stones in your heart, “they think there is someone better for you than me out there?”

“then they are wrong.” kunigami says and you look up at him with eyes wide and glittering with unshed tears. he meets your gaze with the same dark evenness you catch him looking at the ball when he plays. there’s a fearful calm about him, the ice cold flame of certainty is wrapped around his figure as he speaks these next words.

“there is no one in this world that is better for me than you. i am yours and you are mine. i earned that right and no one can take that from not even my parents.” you nod along, ducking your head down and escape his grasp to you wipe at your watery eyes. when you look up it’s because he has taken your chin in his palm, tipping it with his thumb he smiles at you slightly - reassuring you and reaffirming you with only a glance.

“you’re going to show them - that you are the best, aren’t you?” he says and you laugh, it’s a soft and watery sound but the man that rarely smiles does when you express your relief.

“yes. i am.” you say smiling at him so softly that kunigami wonders if he’s watching the first snowfall of winter rather than the beginnings of spring. he takes your hand in his and he squeezes it once, than twice.

a third time for good measure.

“they are going to love you.” is all he says, and before you know it you are at the door - it opens. as kunigami calls out his greetings and you both remove your shoes you are met with smiles as bright as the sun when you are introduced to your boyfriends family.

his mother couldn’t be more happy - you truly are the best for her son.

The ride from the hospital to back home was quiet, only the slow music playing in the background or the clicking sounds of the turn signals appearing every ones in a while.

Yet, you could feel the frustration and melancholy slowly spreading through the entire interior of the car.

It was as if you’d have picked up your child from the playground, who was now pouting because they would have liked to stay a little longer, finish the game they had been playing with their little friends.

Well in your case; it was your boyfriend you had picked up. There had not been a playground but a hospital instead. And the part with the game and 'playing with their friends' was not entirely wrong.

By Kunigami’s distant gaze through the window and lack of response after you had asked him earlier how his injury had even happened, you knew that the doctor’s advice to rest for about three weeks, until his sprained knee would heal, had not really pleased him.

“You okay there?” you asked as you finally pulled up in the drive-way, Kunigami only answering with a nod while he carefully got out of the car and limped his way to the entrance.

However, as you slipped out of your sneakers and neatly placed them beside the coat-rack, you noticed that your poor injured boyfriend was neither heading towards your shared bedroom nor the couch.

Instead you witnessed him entering the garage, of which you two had made your own little gym, realization hitting you that this had actually been predictable.

“What do you think you’re doing?” your voice resonated through the spacious room while you leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed over your chest as you eyed Kunigami.

He was already picking up some weights that had been scattered around the spacious room, carrying them over to the weight bench.

“What does it look like? We’ve barely been half an hour into practice when- well you know. When this happened.” he explained, his nose scrunching up a little as he sat down on the bench, pain shooting through his knee.

“And you think some curls and bench pressing will help you in what way exactly?” you deadpanned, walking over to him as you watched his muscles start to flex underneath his fair skin, the small veins along his arms becoming more prominent every time he curled the dumbbell up to his shoulder.

It was actually quiet a sight. The way his big strong hand tightened around the handle, lifting the thirty pounds up as if they were nothing before he switched to his other hand-

“I don’t know but I'll make sure to tell you once I figure it out.” Of course, the light smile he offered you seemed as sarcastic as the words that left his mouth.

And as endearing you thought the sight of a sweating Kunigami was, you knew that his recovery was more important.

“Rensuke.” you murmured softly as you slowly stepped in front of him, placing your palms on each of his cheeks and forcing him to look up at you. “I know that you’ll probably feel useless the next few weeks, but baby, your body needs rest.”

“I know but-”

“Ren. Please.” you cut him off, pronouncing your words with utter gentleness and dedication. And with all due respect, how was he supposed to disobey you when your fingers along his jaw felt so nice, when your palms resting on his skin were so warm and gentle? When the simple thought of being spoiled by you seemed too good to be true?

With a deep sigh he set the dumbbell to the side before grabbing one of your hands and slowly standing up, trying to bend his knee as little as possible.

"‘Come on, big boy. Careful."

The short way to the living room was-short. But painful. His knee was already lightly swollen and you had to give your all to not groan an “I’ve told you.” right in Kunigami’s face since the doctor had strictly told him to rest his leg and keep it elevated.

“Is that okay? Does it hurt?” you asked him as you carefully squeezed a third pillow underneath his calf, your own eyebrows furrowing slightly as his face showed features of discomfort before his leg finally rested on top of the cushioned pile you had created.

“Yeah, ‘s okay. Thanks, baby.” And as you smiled so sweetly at him, leaning down to press a peck against his bandaged injury, Kunigami felt his heart race at a speed not even Chigiri could match.

“Wait. Where are you going?” he wondered, propping his upper body up on his elbow while his other hand grabbed your wrist tightly before you could retreat to wherever you were about to walk off.

“Make dinner? Do you need something?”

His bottom lip jutted out into a small pout as his gaze shifted to the side, feeling already a slight heat creep up his neck. How could you even ask him something like that? As if you did not know what he needed.

As if you did not know that there were only two major things in his life that brought him peace and comfort. As if you did not know that you were the only thing of these two options that was still available since his shitty knee would not even let him complete a single workout, let alone play an entire soccer match.

“Can you do that later, and maybe. You know. Just stay here for a bit?”

The usual confidence in his deep voice seemed inexistent as he lightly tugged at your wrist which only elicited as small chuckle from you before you granted him his wish, taking a seat right behind him and letting him lay his head on your lap.

“You happy now, you big baby?” you smirked at him and glided your hand over his forehead, brushing his tangerine locks to the back and revealing his thick eyebrows before you let them fall back into their place.

“Could you please not call me that.” he groaned and tried to sound annoyed. Yet the smile tugging at the corners of his lips betrayed him as he covered his eyes with his arm.

He is a baby.

“Don’t tell me the famous and strong Kunigami Rensuke is getting all flustered now.”

“Baby, stop.” His pleading whimper made you laugh only harder, and as you pried his arm away from his face, grabbing his forearm to shower the palm of his hand with a few apologetic kisses, that was when his smile grew a bit wider as well.

It were moments like these, when you just kept teasing each other as if you were back to the day you had fallen in love for the first time, moments when your fingers kept combing through his ginger hair, sometimes digging deeper to lightly scratch his scalp.

Moments when even a person like Kunigami could not help but relish in your caring demeanour and let himself fall into the comfort of your lap, letting him forget any dark thoughts swirling around his head or any pain he felt. Sometimes even he himself needed a hero and he was glad that he had you.

You miss your boy. You miss how rensuke would look at you. You miss all the nicknames he’d call you. You miss how affectionate he used to be. You miss all the the dates he would take you on. You just miss your old boy.

Rensuke misses you too. He hates himself for what he has become. He’s afraid.

Rensuke has gotten buffer, his hair longer and messier. But most importantly his face. He looks so sad, so defeated. His eyes starting to have bags his whole demeanor has changed.

Rensuke remembers when he lost and got kicked out of blue lock. He hates himself. He hates how he let you down, how he let his sisters down, and how he let himself down. He doesn’t know how to face you when he goes back home. He knows you’ll be sad, he knows that he will cry in your arms when he finally sees you. But then the wild card happened. He thought he didn’t have to face you just yet. Maybe he can redeem himself one last time.

You don’t know what happened exactly during the wildcard. But when blue lock got their 2 weeks off so did Rensuke. You didn’t even know he was back until his little sister texted you. “Hey y/n, can you come over please Rensuke is acting super weird” your heart dropped. Why didn’t he text you the second he got out? You got so anxious thinking about it, you were nervous the whole walk to his house. You knocked on the door and Mrs. Kunigami opened it. “Oh y/n I missed you so much. Ren has been acting super weird and looks so…different. Do you know what’s going on?” Your heart drops again. “Uh no I’m sorry. I didn’t even know he was back until you guys texted me”

The walk to his room was nerve wracking. Why were you so nervous? You’re finally seeing your boyfriend after months. You walk in and you’re surprised to see your boyfriend who takes care of his appearance look like total shit. He didn’t notice you come in until you whispered “Ren baby, are you okay?” He looks startled to see you in his room. “What are you doing here I didn’t tell you to come over? What do you want?” You’re surprised by his reaction, because you expected your boyfriend to spring on to you and kiss you. You’ve been waiting for this moment for weeks and this is how it turns out? You turn visibly upset.

“What the fuck Ren? This is how you greet me? What’s wrong with you? I came because my own boyfriend is back and I haven’t seen him In months. I thought you’d be happy to see me. I missed you so much.” Your eyes start to turn glossy, you’re frustrated. He looks at you then scoffs. “Get out. I don’t want to see you right now” Now you’re extra pissed, why does he have an attitude? Ren never has an attitude he’s always so patient. Your anger gets to you and now you’re the one yelling “are you seriously kicking me out?! I want to spend time with you before you have to go back why are you acting so different. Why do you look so different?! You look like total shit and you’re acting like a total fucking douche!” Okay maybe you’re acting a little over dramatic but this better knock some sense into him.

“Get the fuck out. I don’t wanna see you right now, not tomorrow, not ever again. Don’t talk to me again. We’re over.”

Woah. Did he just break up with you? This is the last thing you expected. You turn pale your heart is beating fast. “Wait Ren! No you can’t mean that. Hey just talk to me babe! I’m your girlfriend that’s what you’re supposed to do!” He looks at you and with such disgust he says “ex girlfriend”. That’s when you walk out, into the living room where his family is sitting on the couch. Yup they definitely heard your argument. You can’t see the looks on their faces because you’re tearing up but you walk out.

You get back home, mascara ruined and your dad asks you, “where’ve you been?” You don’t answer him. You don’t want to because what are you supposed to say? You just got broken up with? Hell no it’s embarrassing enough that his family heard yalls argument. You go into your room and scream and cry. The last thing you expected just happened to you.

3 days pass by. Not a single text from Kunigami. To be quite honest, now you’re the one looking like shit. You haven’t gone to school, you can’t show your face anywhere. Your dad is worried but he’s on a work trip right now so he can’t comfort you. “Ask Kunigami to come over, he can always cheer you up.” Right. You still haven’t told your dad.

You hear a knock on the door. You don’t bother getting it, it’s probably just a package arriving. Another knock, harder and faster. By this time you’re annoyed. You go to the door yelling “coming!!” You swing the door open ready to tell someone off but right in front of the entrance to you house is your newly ex boyfriend. Kunigami Rensuke.

You’re flustered, not expecting him. Even more flustered because of what you’re wearing. Spandex and Kunigami’s old shirt. “Uh hey, is there something I can help you with?” You ask awkwardly. “I need to get all my stuff back” he says with no emotion. “Oh sure come in, uh lemme go grab some of your stuff from my room” Kunigami waits patiently on the couch, truth be told you had none of his stuff packed. You wanted to keep all of it.

After about 10 minutes you’re about to finish getting all of his stuff ( he had a lot, it was practically his second home ). Just as you stand up you feel big muscular arms wrap around your waist. You’re startled and mad. Who does he think he is? “Kunigami let me fucking go” you say with so much venom. “What happened to Ren?” He asks. “I’m not going to call you that anymore, we’re not dating remember?” At that he perks up, and lets you go. This time y’all are both facing eachother you get a good look at him and see his puffy eyes. Has he been crying?

You send him off his way and after 5 minutes since he’s been gone you hear another knock on the door. Ugh what does he want? You open the door and before you could say something he comes running in hugging you. “I miss you so much I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry baby. I’m so sorry. Please just let me explain myself please.” You know you should’ve said no, but you can’t this is the man you love. The man you want to spend the rest of your life with.

You let him in. You both are sitting on the couch awkwardly. “Uh what did you have to say” Kunigami stands up and sits closer to you, looking into your eyes. “I’m sorry about how I’ve been acting. I’m so sorry. You know I love you right? I’ve loved you ever since I laid eyes on you. I love everything about you. I messed up. I should’ve told you what’s been going on, I should’ve told you everything from the start. Baby, I lost. I got kicked out of blue lock. I’m sorry. I let you down. But they gave me another chance, I could redeem myself. I took it obviously, my dream couldn’t just end there. But baby it was so hard. So fucking hard. I had to train till my body gave out. They wouldn’t let me talk to anyone. I was so lonely and isolated. I struggled for others people entertainment. I’m sorry. There’s so much more I wish I could tell you but that’s not the point. I can’t use that as an excuse for how I treated you. I was a shitty boyfriend. I’m sorry. I regret everything that I said. Every single thing. I was just ashamed of myself. Embarrassed. Baby I should’ve never broken up with you. I’m so scared right now. I just broke up with the girl I want to marry, the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with, the girl who I love most. I’m sorry. Please just take me back.”

He looks back at you because you haven’t said anything. You’re crying. Shit did he say the wrong thing? “Babe?” “Fuck you ren” you stand up and go to your room. So this is it? Kunigami will never forgive himself. Just as he’s about to open the front door, you come running and you jump on his back.

“HEY where are you going??!!” Kunigami looks back, and sees you carrying tissues. Oh. You left to get tissues. He didn’t notice he was crying until you force his face down kissing his tears away. You lean your forehead into his. “We will talk about this in the morning okay? I’m too tired to think” Kunigami is speechless. What? “You’re not mad?” “Im absolutely pissed right now, but I know you’ve been through a lot so I’m letting you go easy just this one time”

He smiles just as he’s about to say something you kiss him. The kiss is passionate and hungry leaving both of you off of breath. “What was that for?” “Just missed my beautiful boy. Come give me cuddles we haven’t cuddled in months”

He smiles thinking about how lucky he got.

not only does he choose to ignore the fact that you’re blatantly trying to get his attention, but he follows the subtle brush of your foot against his leg with a kick of his foot against your leg.

the worst part is that he’s actively biting back the smile that keeps threatening to appear on his face.

“stop that.” you hate that you can hear the mirth in his voice. (you hate that he doesn’t look up from his homework to look at you instead even more).

you rest your head against your hand, “stop what?”

“stop touching my leg with your foot,” his voice is laced with amusement, “it’s distracting.”

you hide your smile behind your hand, “is it now?”

a smile finally manages to make its way into his lips, “yeah.”

he looks up at you. you look at him, revealing the fond smile on your lips. the corners of his eyes crinkle, mischief written all over his face.

“it’s distracting you so much you stopped doing your homework.”

the smile on your face drops, pout quickly replacing it instead. “that’s not true.”

he raises a brow, “you barely even finished answering the first question.”

“because it’s boring,” you groan, stretching your arms above your head, “besides, i can just ask for yours.”

“and let you cheat off of my hard work?” he chuckles, “not a chance.”

he resumes his homework, “hurry up or i’m gonna leave without you.”

“huh?” confusion paints your face, “what do you mean leave without me?!”

he sighs, “i have practice today, remember?” he rubs his eyes, “gotta finish all this homework before i go — with or without you.”

“you wouldn’t.” your heart skips a beat when you hear him mumble an incoherent ‘i wouldn’t’ under his breath.

an affectionate smile blooms on your lips as you stare at him.

“for real, though,” he yawns, “hurry up, i don’t want to leave you here alone.”

you tap your finger against your notebook, “i could just go with you.”

his eyes widen as he looks at you, “to practice?”

you nod. he looks away. you consider playing it off for a moment. that is, until he smiles at you and says, “okay.”

he starts packing his things up. you’re putting your notebook away when you notice his outstretched hand in your direction. (you don’t notice his reddened ears, though).

you blink at him. a smile slowly graces your lips as you place your hand in his.

you don’t mention how kunigami’s sure to be running a bit late to practice by now.

he doesn’t mention how sweaty your hand is.

none of you mention how kunigami left his notebook in your backpack for you to copy the answers from his homework.

but you do run up and hug him once his practice is over (despite his nagging about how you’ll get his sweat all over you). the only thing slipping past your lips being a string of ‘yes’.

the culprit? the post-it he left behind on his notebook that had a ‘wanna go on a date w me? :) <3’ scribbled in it.

rin tried to hide his little smirk as he looked over at you. he had his arms crossed, watching as you trembled in fear.

you desperately wanted to spend time with him after he's been away for so long. he missed you just as much as you did, but was obviously too proud to say it.

you asked to hang out, go shopping, and a hundred other activities, but he refused. he wanted to stay home, get some peaceful time after having cameras shoved into his face for days non stop.

you still wanted to be close to him though, so you offered to watch a horror movie together, knowing how much he loves these. you even let him choose the film. and that was your mistake.

and now here you were, trembling under a fluffy blanket, the bowl of popcorn long forgotten as you stared at the laptop screen with wide eyes.

you didn't even notice when he got closer to you, a grin on his face. you were so adorable, how he missed those cute, scared little expressions.

he knew this movie way too well; he watched it many times before. therefore, when he knew a jumpscare was about to happen again, he quickly wrapped an arm around your shoulders and brought you to his chest.

you let out a small gasp of surprise, but you didn't have time to react, when you heard the character in the film scream, and so did you.

rin chuckles, gently stroking your hair. "what an idiot. this film is so old, it's not even scary." he says, his words attempting to be mean, but his tone affectionate.

you looked up at him, a soft grin plastered on his face, his hand now rubbing circles on your back. you smiled. that expression on his face was a rare sight, and you didn't want to say anything that might make it go away, so instead you rested your head back on his chest.

he kept rubbing your back, and you could feel that whenever another scary scene showed up, he brought you just a tiny bit closer to his chest.

maybe those scary movies weren't so scary after all.

It's tough to explain, but to see him supporting Rin's arm instead of the trophy makes me want to punch a wall. It feels like, "Yes, we won this together, Rin." OHMYGOD! AAAAAAAA!!!

I really don't think we have ever seen Noa coaching any player other than Isagi, so him silently rooting for Kaiser caught me off guard real hard. Of course, it doesn't seem like much of a big deal, but to see that Noa hadn't completely taken his eyes off of Kaiser and that he hadn't completely pulled away his trust from Kaiser hits a certain type of emotion in my heart.

Considering that Kaiser wants to win over Noa too—a fact Noa, probably, knows—makes everything feel a bit.. bittersweet.

CUTE!!!

I mean, BM was next in line to face PxG—it's probably the reason why they were watching the match live—and they were going to face Shidou which makes them rivals, and yet, when he does something cool, they all go, "WOOHOO! THAT'S COOL!!" instead of worrying or being jealous.

It's called sportsmanship, I guess?

There's another translation, but I find the above one way better because it's so... soft.

I mean, Noa has always been shown as this cold, emotionless person who inhales and exhales logic, so it was sweet when he tried to reassure Kiyora—when he showed some kind of compassion. It was like, "Hey, Kiddo! It's okay, don't worry, you'll play the next time! Cheer up!"

It also makes it sound like even if Kiyora were not to have the required stats for the next match, then Noa was prepared to against his own ideals and let Kiyora play regardless.

When Nagi got pissed off because Barou's violent behaviour nearly hurt Reo. Like, just look at that stance, he was ready to beat the crap out of Barou if Reo wouldn't have stopped him.

No matter what label you give Nagi and Reo—lovers or friends—you can't deny that they are probably the best thing that happened to eachother.

I really want what they have.

They barely knew eachother and yet when these two started to brawl, they all intervened immediately—Nanase and Isagi are literally hanging onto them with their dear life. It's tough to explain, but I found the gesture really sweet, like, they didn't know them! They could bash open their skulls—it wouldn't affect them at all and yet, they are trying to stop them!

Also, Chigiri was on the other side of the field, I guess. He came running!!! So sweet!

The way Bachira blindly believed in Isagi. Like, he had full trust that Isagi will come and play with him. He never doubted him at all! The healthiest duo of Blue Lock!

Also, look at his duck lips. Cutie.

Anybody who has shifted to a completely new place full of completely new people knows how good and relieving it feels when others make an effort to help you feel welcomed.

No idea if those three extra characters got selected in the tryouts or not, but they were nice. If Kaiser would've met them earlier, then they all would've surely been good buddies.

The way everyone instantly got mad at Shidou when he hurt Sendou—sweet! Also, the fact that they all refused to play if Sendou didn't play makes me giggle.

I mean, obviously, it's pretty stupid to fight with your own teammate for the ball in such an important match, but it's so heartfelt to see Nagi be like, "Reo did all that for us! Do not let Reo's efforts go in vain!"

I admire Isagi's parents so much. I love them so much. I pray to God every night that after my reincarnation as Nagi's Choki, I'm reincarnated as their daughter because they are exactly the kind of parents every child deserves. God bless them.

I just know that he was so proud of his team. Yes, yes, he told Anri to stop crying because she was making it look like everything was a miracle, but it only means that he believed in the team!!! And you guys remember that he was able to tell at once that Chigiri was unhappy being benched? I understand that he is a cunning man, but to see him call out to Chigiri to do some kind of indirect wellness check on him was his version of going the extra mile.

-> Barou looking after Nagi

This was cute, you know. I mean, Barou was the one who first scolded Nagi for swimming in that bathtub, but he is also the one taking care of him—you getting me? It's a small thing, I know, but it's really cute!

-> Rin accepting Hiori's help

With the way Rin was shown till that point, I was actually scared for Hiori because I thought Rin was going to shook off Hiori by saying, "Fuck off!" Like, it just seems very plausible for his character, but then he surprised me!

Just look at him allowing Hiori to help him up by his arms! I understand that many will think that I've gone crazy, but this is one of those things where if you know, you know.

I snorted at this panel. Like, before this panel, we can see that Isagi literally has his hand around Barou's nape, but no, Barou has to throw Nagi only, it got to be Nagi—if that doesn't sum up their relation, I don't know what will.

When Isagi's name was suddenly called and he got startled which cracked them up. I just absolutely loved the above panel—so adorbs‼️

I really haven't seen anyone talk about what he said above—even I seemed to have overlooked his words. It seems so bittersweet that when Sae gave validation to Isagi, he mentioned Rin too like, "He saw through your instincts too." Almost as if it were some kind of necessary requirement for someone to shine in his eyes.

Like, in simple words, "You looked through my little brother's instinct too? Now that's some good shit!"

It's kinda a subtle way of Sae giving Rin validation too like, "He is a solid player! How I know? Oh because he saw through your gameplay."

Sweet.
