Imagine: Living with Haruka Nanase

I had a lot going on for the last two weeks: I moved to another apartment, found and internship, and investigated the source of my headaches and eye soreness. This week it was hard to... hm... let's say to be a viewing human being. My eyes hurt from looking at screens and I mostly avoided them. Hopefully, the glasses will be ready by next week and save me! Anyway, it's June after all and I usually re-watch Free!! during this time. Therefore, I have inspiration to write about the most precious water boys! Let's start with the lovely dolphin...

☀️ Haruka prefers to wake up early, so he can enjoy the calmness and start the day slowly. He can lay for some time, admiring your cute face with the first rays of sun. If you are an early bird as well, he will be glad to have a company. Moreover, you will have a chance to take a relaxing bath together!

🍳 Nanase is quite skilled in cooking. After you decided to live together, he started to learn new recipes, just so he can make a surprise for you in the morning or after the hard day. The cooking schedule is constantly negotiated based on the timetables and willingness to cook. Otherwise, you can always order something or pick at the restaurant.

Bonus: Yes, you will try all types of fish dishes, it is not negotiated.

🧹 Haruka knows how to keep the place tidy. He prefers to keep it clean from the start and always cleans up after himself. However, he never complains if you do not clean after yourself straight away. Sometimes you can be low on energy after an especially tiring day and Haruka is ready to help you or will step away and allow you to do everything in your own space. The main things in your relationships are calmness and mutual care.

🧺 From all the water activities, Haruka the least a fan of laundry. Yes, nowadays, it is easy to start a program on the machine. No, he is overwhelmed with different detergents, softeners, whiteners and this strangely smelling thing! If you know how to do this complicated task, Haru will volunteer to do any other work. If not, you can always ask Makoto to come over, because he knows everything about... anything!

🛒 When it comes to grocery shopping, you can always rely on him for making a checklist. Nanase usually remembers about all different products that you lack in fridge or pantry and will also add snacks and additional products for new dishes. While you are usually in budget, he will prefer to go cheap on beans and rice but take the freshest fish and fruits. In summer, he always brings a watermelon after the training, so you can enjoy it and cool down after a hot day.

🛋 While staying at home, Haruka is always chill and relaxed. He can enjoy long bathes, while offering you to join or read a book laying on the sofa. If you do some handcraft like knitting or sewing, he will lay his head on your lap. Sometimes he trains at home or turns on the music and invites you for a small dancing party!

🌙 At night he usually sleeps deep and cannot be bothered by the noises around. Haruka likes when you lay close to him or hug his forearm, so he can feel your warmness. Your nights are always calm, and sometimes you might think that Nanase protects your dreams...

Imagine: Karl comforts you during anxiety episode

I know that there are many people who feel restless, sad, anxious, and I can relate to them. At these moments I wish there was someone to comfort me. Therefore, lets imagine tonight how Karl might comfort you at such times!

☁ Karl is not very social, therefore his understanding of emotions is narrow. However, it does not stop him from trying to comfort an important person.

☁ Given his attentiveness, Karl can easily identify when your mood switches, even before you feel it. It helps him to prepare for the storm and stop you from whatever you are doing. He is all of a sudden here for you, cares for you, and not ready to let you go.

☁ At normal days, Heisenberg is not a fan of showing affection. At moments when you feel your lowest he is ready to bring the whole world at your feet. Karl is genuinely scared that the person he cares for can be restless, scared, and anxious for no specific reason.

☁ To begin with, he went all the way from the house Beneviento with a hand made blanket made for order by Donna. He read from some medical book (that was borrowed from Moreau) that it is important to keep the person comfortable. Therefore, you will look like a caterpillar in a cocoon after Karl will finish making you comfy.

☁ After seeing you in tears for the first time in the middle of the night, he will ask Alcina to learn him how to brew special tea blends. It will take time, his pride, and probably a bunch of nerves, but Heisenberg wants to help you next time it happens. No cost too great for the sake of the loved ones.

☁ One thing that is not expected from him is singing. Yes, he does not have the greatest of the voices and unable to hit the right note but when he sings it does not matter. It is not made to impress but to make you feel important and special. With a horse voice he will swing you in his arms, singing about faraway lands, kingdoms and sunsets...

☁ As an engineer, he can create any mechanical device. And his talent is not restricted by robots, telecommunications, or complicated systems. Karl knows a thing or two about beautiful mechanical creations such as music boxes. He will create something that will comfort you even when he is not around. The melody inside the box reminds you about those nights when you two drink tea and talk about everything till dawn or go for a walk in the woods...

☁ The clouds go after the storm, the anxiety fades after the hurricane. You are going to feel better after sometime, and it is the reward Karl is ready to wait for. To see your smile again, to hear the laughter, to feel an unexpected hug from behind... He might grumble, but he loves all those little things...

Coffee Compatability (Part I)

Haruka Nanase & Latte

He prefers this simple and soft drink as his go-to, especially on days when he is out in the city or Makoto takes him somewhere. Important to mention that he is not a frequent coffee drinker and does not need it on daily basis to stay awake.

Bonus details: almond milk, vanilla syrup, no sugar.

Makoto Tachibana & Cappucino

Since he was 15, Tachibana got used to drinking coffee in the morning. Not only to stay awake but also to enjoy the delicate taste of the drink. With time he learned to make it himself (with a strict guidance of his mother). Makoto is usually the one who controls coffee intake of Rin and Ray.

Bonus details: oat milk, extra cinnamon, one tsp of sugar, small fishes on frosting.

Nagisa Hazuki & Frappe

Lots of whipped cream, syrups, and sugar - he lives for the taste of this terrific drink and will do everything to obtain it. There is no size rather than venti when it comes to the frappe. However, with the energy that Hazuki uses on daily basis, no one is worried that this much of sugar will harm him. At the end of the day, Nagisa only has an opportunity to grab something like that when they go shopping.

Rei Ryugazaki & Espresso

Productivity and excellence have their own implications. In case of Rei, strong brewed coffee is a way to stay awake and complete all the tasks on time. However, he was ones caught by Makoto after four shots of espresso and was put on count for daily intake.

Rin Matsuoka & Black Coffee

After living in Australia he got used to drinking coffee as it is. No sugar, no milk, no other add-ins to sweeten things up. He takes life as it is, so there is no compromise for coffee. However, Rin started to add some sugar to his coffee eventually... but let's allow him to keep cool.

Bonus details: a tiny bit of caramel syrup.

Gou Matsuoka & Matcha Latte

She does not really like the taste of coffee and decided to switch to something that has the same coffein levels but tastier. Matcha latte has become one of her best friends and the reason why the morning is so beautiful. Apart from enjoying the tea itself, she likes the meditating process of whipping matcha tea and then combining it with the milk.

Bonus details: agave syrup.

Imagine: Decebal Dimitrescu and his sons

Allow me to rush in and state a personal headcanon. It is related to the Mr. Dimitrescu idea. While it's rational to stick with the Alcina -> Alcin way of naming, I love looking up new names. Therefore!

Decebal Dimitrescu (related to Alcina Dimitrescu)

Decebal ia a Romanian name for "powerful" or "brave".

He is a prideful ruler of Dimitrescu house, honored by the villagers as hero and defender, and known for being generous during autumn festives. Decebal takes under his wing young villagers who lost their families and raises them as well-mannered loyalists of house Dimitrescu.

However, those who trespass the strict rules of the castle are never seen again...

Mr. Dimitrescu has three sons.

Alois Dimitrescu (related to Bela Dimitrescu)

Alois is a Chezch name that has a meaning of a "well-known fighter".

As the oldest of the sons, he is quite discreet but enjoys duels and will follow any chance to battle with someone (especially if this person is mortal). Usually restricts himself from fighting with the siblings and will devour anyone who doubts the honour of house Dimitrescu. Now imagine how often he fights with Heisenberg...

Bartolomej Dimitrescu (related to Cassandra Dimitrescu)

Bartolomej is a Slovac/Croatian name derived from Bartholomew (or "the son of Tolmai"). When translated from Hebrew it has a meaning of "furrow" or "plowed land".

He is a middle son with a strong sadistic nature (like Cassandra). Therefore, he is a nightmare for anyone who visits the castle, especially for uninvited guests. Sometimes he likes to spoil reading time of his younger brother, just to see how he will get angry and start to swear (which is restricted by Decebal within the castle).

Cornelius Dimitrescu (related to Daniela Dimitrescu)

Cornelius is an ancient Roman name that was probably derived from the Latin element "cornu" -> "horn". This name is surrounded with mystery and magical appeal due to the name Cornelius Agrippa, a medieval alchemist. His prototype was used in many known books, games, and films.

And let me show an equation that is true for me: genius = crazy (in a good way)

He is the youngest of three brothers and has the most chaotic personality. To keep himself from trouble, Cornelius spends most of the time in the library. Books are flesh and blood for him, when there is nobody to hunt. At one point Decebal had to ask Miranda to bring more books because his son started to get uncontrollable and even fought with Alois (living room was ruined).
